I’ve been wondering about the ‘17/‘18 GT1000. I read all sorts of articles back then and almost nothing happened since. Shelby said they were gonna make 50 per year and in actuality they only made 2. Kinda disappointed.

Not trying to be disrespectful to you or your content. I can’t say I’m a super big fan of you, but I do like the raw footage and and I will absolutely say I am excited to see the GT500. Also, I do appreciate how you drove your GT350R aggressively in one of the last videos.
And guess what a 2020 GT500KR is going to be released now in February !
The KR would have to come out in 2028. The original came out on 1968 then 2008 then it missed 2018 so the next "8" would be 2028.

Dude your history is flawed, Ken Miles did not win the 1966 24 hours of Le-Mans. That honor goes to Bruce McLaren.
Dragon Fly miles won the race. He had a lap on the field but Ford wanted a three car checker flag which gave the technicality win to mclaren because he started 2 cars further back then Miles did.
John Edmond...Miles was understandably pissed off about the Teams PR stunt costing him the title. Racing for 24 hours and then being ordered to slow down and losing? Ouch.

All of these answers are partially correct. The GT40 in the video (1015) did win with Ken Miles/Lloyd Ruby behind the wheel at Daytona in 1966. However it is not credited with the win at Le Mans in 1966 and the car (1046) driven by Bruce McLaren/Chris Amon is as it crossed the line in 1st place as can be seen in the photo. The “two cars back” starting position issue was not a factor and only would have come into play if they would have crossed the line at the exact same time as Henry Ford II wanted. However, Chris Amon mashed the accelerator at the end to surge ahead giving him the win. There is also another school of thought that believes that Ken Miles/Denny Hulme in the car in the video (1015) were an entire lap ahead and the manual scoring of the day was messed up. No one will ever know for sure and the debate will continue on till the end of time.

seems like Shelby has dropped off some since Carroll has left us. the 2019 Shelby gt -h heritage edition optional supercharger is the combined effort of ford performance a Roush LMAO
Just took a tour a few days ago there. Got stuck with some old man who gave the tour who was in love with him self and for the first 10 minutes of the tour he tried to compare him self to Mr. Shelby.. it was seriously pathetic.. S.A needs to fire that loser or find someone else to give a tour of the plant and have that guy sell merch or clean the toilets... half of our tour left after the childish charades started.. we stuck around for like another 5 minutes and just couldn’t take it anymore and left also... it was pathetic and a waste of time.. heard people from the tour as we walked out saying that they can see why the tour was free... But that aside they had two cars wrapped up on the main room and Shelby America closed the plant early to the public for an special event. Looks like you were at that special event possibly.
I think it’s more like you have to do so much because of the performance from the factory is not enough
