Superior Hiking Trail - Otter Lake Road Trailhead to 270-Degree Overlook (North Terminus of SHT)

Starting at the Otter Lake Road Trailhead, follow the combined Superior Hiking Trail/Border Route Trail for about 1-mile until reaching the intersection with the spur trail for 270-degree overlook. Head right and follow the spur trail up to the overlook. It's about 0.2-miles long. The view from the overlook is worth the effort. If you continue past the spur trail, you will now be on just the Border Route Trail, which continues to the west for another 60+ miles through the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness until it meets up with the eastern end of the Kekekabic Trail. The Superior Hiking Trail, Border Route Trail and Kekekabic Trail are all now part of the North Country National Scenic Trail.
The distance hiked in this video is about 1.2-miles.
