The long awaited Ultimate Self-Defense Championship season 2 now has a trailer and a release date. Season 2 will feature an amazing line up: Natan Levy - active UFC fighter, Jesse Enkamp - Karate black belt, Ranton - Shaolin Disciple, Jordan Preisinger - BJJ black belt and Jeff Chan - MMA fighter and coach and Craig Hunter - a "regular guy" who trains occasionally and regularly visits the pub.

@@Inaluoghhe trained 3 years as a deciple in the temple. He was apparently good enough to train with the warrior monks so i think hes a good representation of his style
@@Toxicgamerdog His stamina training def. gives hima great foundation. There is also a unpredictable chances that one single suckerpunch can decide how it ends ,wheather you have trained for 10 years or 1 year .
On a MMA sparring match ,I do agree. Very low chances.Or just enough to survive and run away which in a street fight is not a loss but surviving ,giving the circumstance.
Just when we talk about the depths in feinting ,positioning, defense ....phew ,list goes on.
I watch it for entertainment .

As an aikido student in the past I really appreciate all your videos throwing light on traditional martial arts, and I absolutely believe that the self defense championship is one of the most realistic and educational self defense videos that I've ever seen.
Never been so excited like this before because my favorites, Ranton, Jesse and Jeff are here! Cannot wait to see Season 2! Thank you so much to everyone who made this possible and thank you Martial Arts Journey for your hard work. This Is like the fighters version of GTA VI! Let's go!!!!!

Despite the heat Kungfu is getting these days, you can't deny watching those feats/forms brings you back to the good old days when Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan and Jet Li were at their prime. They're just really cool to watch.

I really wanna see Shaolin Kung Fu in real action
This is by far my favorite series on RUclips. These are also probably the best videos on self-defense I've seen by really pressure testing all the theory. Can't wait for season 2 and eventually season 3! If you're looking for other martial arts to test out in season 3, I heavily recommend Kali/Eskrima, Stretto (medieval Italian war wrestling), and Shorinji Kempo, which are all targeted at self-defense particularly attempting to take into account common street weapons. Thank you Rokas!

it'll be interesting to see how much these participants learned from watching the last championship -- for example: the sexual harassment defense or the hand over you wallet mugging -- I wonder if we'll see anything new -- the best thing about the previous one was seeing the alternative defenses (choosing to hand over your wallet instead of fighting)

You can tell with this season its going to be so much more unbalanced than last time. These guys are all monsters. I expect alot of 2-3 v 1 or weapons vs bare handed scenarios or putting them against each other. Can't wait to see some more "70%" form the roleplayers

Which is the best martial arts style? Obviosly it's not the style, but the practitioner, however MMA just seems most likely to provide the greatest edge by equiping the practitioner with peak physical conditioning and a wide breadth of techniques which are regularly pressure tested.
This lineup is absolutly insane. Imagine Ranton and Jesse going off!
