    My next blade purchase is gonna be the ground control 80mm frames. Can't wait. I like aggressive skating but I'm 36, falling sucks and rolling around is just as enjoyable for me. Took a random ass spill the other day. Ate shit hard and I don't even know how it happened but I ended up crushing one of my fingers, all swollen and stuff. Not broken but yea, I can't be eating shit like that on the regular at my age, lol.

    Great vid Corey, thanks for taking the time to put it together and share. Always do enjoy your content, do keep up the good work! I hadn't considered the Endless frames previously but seems they would be a good purchase given you get multiple wheel option set-ups. I have a pair of FR1 boots with a 125mm wheel set up currently and they absolutely fly! but was thinking of getting a new four-wheel frame set up, so Endless would make sense as I can switch back to 3 wheels again. Lovin those parallel slides you pulled off, which I'm currently working on with 125mm set up which is a bit scary! All the best, Rich (London UK)

    I like that you promote helmets even on bigger wheels. Me too. It‘s not just about skill to wear a helmet or not. I skate since over 20 years and feel very „at home“ on wheels. But without a helmet I’m not sure if I would be alright today. 👍
    I saw you use the Reign liner in the FR‘s - do you think they could be better than the 2022 FR stock liner or did you use them to downsize? I had a slight (but nasty) pressure point in the new FR liner - a shame since they are pretty comfy und high quality. The Reign is such a good value, I guess I should’ve them in my arsenal. For aggressive skating I use a 2nd skin liner… never thought about trying them in my FR freeride skates, tbh. I hope you will return to RUclips. I like your calm and easy style and watch everything from the past since I found this channel. ✌️ from Europe.

    • @coreyenglish8706
      @coreyenglish8706  2 года назад +1

      Thanks. Hoping to get back to it in the next couple months. I bought my FRs with intuitions, but wound up using them in my aggressive skates all the time. Picked up the reigns because they were such a good value. Really comfortable option for long rides and thin enough to prevent pressure points.

      Oh geez! Sorry to hear that. I definitely took some falls making this, but I guess it’s just a different fall than normal so it doesn’t take so much of a toll. Higher speeds do make for harder slams though. I’ll have to keep this in mind.

    Hi, nice video, thanks a lot! One question. Which size do you have in your shoes and which frame size do you have. I am on 44 size and ordered the 90mm endless ES (Enhanced Stability) frame.

  • @phantomzero2413
    @phantomzero2413 3 года назад +1

    Would you recommend a 4X90 for a city/suburban beginner as a second set up? From what I've learned larger wheels tend to be smoother over difficult urban terrain like cracks, gravel, etc which is the brunt of what I'm trying to skate over. I'm mostly interested in casual speed and traveling versus doing cool tricks. I've been thinking about going bigger, but I didn't want to just jump into 110s without some transition.

    • @coreyenglish8706
      @coreyenglish8706  3 года назад +1

      Hey there. Sorry for the delayed response. Have a lot going on so RUclips is on the back burner at the moment. I would say that if you are relatively comfortable on a regular 4x80 set up, or have a larger shoe size (10.5 US+), then moving to the endless 4x90 should be no big deal. The rocker on the 4x makes it incredibly easy to maneuver, and makes it a great option for beginners and advanced skaters alike. The only real hesitation I would have recommending a 4x90 frame to a beginner is that the additional frame length can cause problems when doing crossovers. As long as you keep aware of the additional length, it should be no problem. Seriously a quality product and highly recommend them.

    • @phantomzero2413
      @phantomzero2413 3 года назад

      @@coreyenglish8706 Yeah, I've heard that about larger frames. Do you feel that the 4x90s are different enough from a 4x80s to be worth picking up? I'm really just trying to smooth out the ride for when I'm good enough to go around town/parks. Or should I get a triskate if I'm trying to mostly just have fun going fast/around town with them. I've heard bigger is better for that, but I'm not sure I want to jump right into like 3X110 setup right out the gate(Although its nice I can do that on the endless 90s when I'm ready).
      Also thanks for the reply :)

    How do you break in new wheels? Also from 4x80mm vs 4x90mm which is better, i have the powerslide next core 100 i want to be able to switch frame, 100mm is ok i feel bit too tall and unstable

    • @coreyenglish8706
      @coreyenglish8706  3 месяца назад

      Mostly comes down to wheelbase. 80 would likely be more maneuverable and have a shorter base. 90 more stable and longer. Also, consider your shoe size. 4x90 on a size 6 boot is going to make crossovers etc. more difficult. Just depends on what you’re trying to get out of your skate. As for breaking in wheels, you just have to go skate them. I like to do some aggressive carving to break them in.

      I think that if it’s in your budget to get a dedicated rec/free skate, you would be better off buying a set. Free skates are designed with more support where you need it and will handle larger diameter wheels better. If you do go with a ufs “big wheel” frame on m12s, I would stick to 80mm or less. The m12 can be quite flexible and won’t give you the best experience with anything over about 72mm.

    That frame looks sharp 😨 Can you put street skate frames on aggressive boots? I want to get regular street skates. Do they roll over rough terrain better than aggressive? I want to free / street skate in downtown Greenville SC. I did it with my razors genesys flat 4 wheel set up the other day, and almost tripped over a big dent in the sidewalk. I wish i could get my Rollerblade TRS Details back I tbh think theyre more comfortable than stiff shell Razors. Are free skates comfortable cause i think they dont look like it...Id put a free skate frame on an aggressive boot

    • @coreyenglish8706

      They do make UFS frames that are designed to be used as a “freeskate”. Those would fit on your aggressive skates. The new kizer element 90mm looks particularly interesting. I would recommend a purpose built freeskate though. They are designed with more support where you need it for that type of skating.
