Agree that Spain are favorites. England’s big advantage is their squad depth. Southgate has to be brave and go for it in the second half. If he brings on Watkins, Palmer, Toney, Gordon, Eze etc early enough, then they might have a chance.
If England are still in the game by the second half, then substitutions could play a major role. Southgate could literally replace anyone in attack or midfield, and still be as strong - but with fresher legs.

I've also noticed that most English people actually think they will win because it's their fate, they have learned from last Euro, or that Spain only beat Italy by a goal but the Swiss beat Italy and England beat the Swiss. Talk about reaching! I think I have figured out part of the reason they have never won. They can't take criticism or the truth. It also explains why they overrate their players.

Rodri has had many bad games...he was terrible in the FA cup final misplacing a lot of passes..he was very poor in Spain's qualifier defeat to Scotland...he seemed almost non existent as we watched German pour forward with wave after wave of attacks in the 2nd half of the quarter final...give me a break
@adeyinkabenjamin9537 mate , even you with a brain should understand that most teams usually tight mark rodri to not give him any space to operate in a midfield, you can't expect rodri to do his thing if he will be tight marked the whole game. If anything that midfield usually is a decoy to lore playere with them so that there is space for the wingers

This seems to be a theme every tournament. In the world cup the narrative was: ‘How do England stop Mbappe?’ And in many tournaments prior the focus was on stopping the opposition rather than playing our game well and winning. Southgate’s luck will run out and England will lose to Spain on Sunday. As far as some "pundits" are concerned, England can lose 0-5 to Spain and these media people or ex-players will still praise Southgate as the best manager England has ever had simply because he took England to 2 consecutive Euro Finals. Southgate is already a god and can do no wrong in these people's (the FA included) eyes. Remaining trophy-less is not going to diminish his deity status.
