Awesome group,Shotgun was favorite!
What a great sound of vocals, a drum, a guitar, a Hammond organ and sax.
I remember those days. The funk was real.
Great tune! Brings me back to my teen years.
Willie Woods played some tasty guitar! Love his style.
Junior forgot the words, LOL, bless him, but he's tearing it up with that sax, and the band are jamming hard. No lip-sync on this set. Right on.
incredible music still millenium strong
even today you cant sit still!!
He was the embodiment of Black Soul. Rest in Soul Power Mr. Walker.
Shake and Fingerpop!!
This is so awesome. Comments from people who knew the legends.
Good soul music.
my father in law is the one playing the guitar Willie woods
That's awesome, your grandfather did a duet with Jr Walker on "Shotgun" on some of the videos posted on RUclips.
+rodney bell I play bass with Billy Nicks, Willie Woods never got the credit he deserved for Shot Gun... he wrote that song and many others recorded by Jr. Willy Woods is a giant in my eyes and soul music owes him much
may he rest in peace
@@a.b.s_productions It was a real snap your fingers song !
Respect to you Rodney
AWESOME! Go Papa Willie Go! Thanks for sharing 😎👍
Most folks remember Roadrunner, but this was my favorite.!
Getting it done without a bass guitar, awesome Junior and the fellas. Music without agendas!
Thanks for loading ! Great musician, great music !!!
Same . Thanks
The title is " Shake and Fingerpop" (1965)
Those dancers were dope
This song's actual name was: "SHAKE AND FINGERPOP" by Jr Walker & The All-Stars
(#29 Pop, # 7, R&B-1965) , issued on Motown Records' SOUL Label imprint .
Group Members: JR WALKER, (sax & lead vocals), WILLIE WOODS (guitar and vocals,) JAMES GRAVES (drums) and VIC THOMAS (keyboards)
I was fooled into thinking it was the Sam Cooke and Otis Redding Shake, but I was not disappointed by this.
Thanks for re-posting this one on youtube. I love to see the chicks dance.
What do those girls think they know about the one foot James Brown shimmy...they were gettin' it tho...lol
A great talent...I enjoy the dancers.
Loved that the ladies were fully clothed and all
They just look dressed like girl scouts lol😂😂
Organ player Groovin!

Let's all watch shindig! Go-go girls with big hair, lots of black eye make-up and go-go boots🎉🎉🎉🎉 hell yeah!!!!!!😅😅😅😊😊😊❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉#😂😂😂😂😮😮😮😮😮
Buen baile...👍
Magic saw jr x stars in atsTHE WHEEL 69 We were Hanging on Ceiling 🤘💃💃
Would had loved to heard him play with Chuck Berry
I swear the first time I heard this the lyrics were a little different. "Put on yo' wig woman we goin' out to shake and finger pop, we gonna git out on the flo' now, DANCE LIKE WE DON'T KNOW HOW TO STOP". W-OOK AM 1260 was my Parents favorite station in the 60s, and my Dad would sing it too death, I thought it was the coolest because he sounded just like them " virbatim".
If this doesn't make you want to get up and dance... Nothing will 😁✨✨
This looks like it was a performance on ABC's Shindig.
Bingo!
Title of song is SHAKE AND FINGER POP
You don't need nudity and other oddities to make good entertainment. How we miss those days.
The epitome of 60s soul-
It’s sad how they pushed him back for the non talented dancers
Yeah they don’t even dance with soul.
Fantastic
WORD.

You heard what he said: "Put on your wig, woman." And it better be a blonde wig, that's all I can say.
