- Hi Guys i wanted to show a quick video on these amazing socket holders. They are the best I found so far IMO. You can turn them completely over and they will still stay in the holes. i bought these on Corey at S&A Auto Amazon store. Here is the link so you can buy them as well and more of Corey's favorites. These will hold chrome and impact sockets. Thank you for the support and watching.

Sorry to be offtopic but does someone know a trick to log back into an instagram account..?
I somehow lost the login password. I love any tips you can give me
@Korbyn Alec instablaster ;)
@Garrett Fernando I really appreciate your reply. I found the site on google and im waiting for the hacking stuff atm.
Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
@Garrett Fernando It did the trick and I actually got access to my account again. Im so happy:D
Thanks so much you saved my ass :D
@Korbyn Alec No problem xD
The best thing is you can just grab the entire rack and stick them onto the underside of the car and don't have to worry about having to crawl out from under the car whenever you're missing a particular size. Also by having the rack under the car, you can just put the socket back into its correct spot, so you don't have to worry about sockets rolling away and getting lost. And yes, all those 30 secs searching for crap adds up. Love these Olsa magnetic socket trays as they have significantly improved the way I work.
Those are ok, but VIM Tools has them beat hands down. The rails are low profile and you install pegs to the rails. When you have the peg where you want it, give it a twist and it is locked into place. The rails are magnetic and very strong. The rails also take any size peg. They come in three different sizes and multiple colors. They are made of anodized aluminum. These things are better than sliced bread. Check them out. Amazing!!!
Just bought some of these (one from OLSA the others from some competitors with the exact same product, just a different name). My "main" CV sockets are still in the plastic trays from the craftsman kit I bought like ~15 years ago. It was one of those plastic tool box sets, so when I finally bought a big ass tool chest and workbench for my garage, I just took the trays out out of the little plastic tool box and put them in my workbench/tool chest combo. I just left the sockets in the trays and put the tray in the chest. Works really well.
Of course besides the original craftsman set now I've got other stuff like impact sockets, 12 point deep wells, torx/specialty sockets. So I needed to buy these to organize my tool chest.
I only have the 1/4 drive holder for little bits and special sockets not for my whole 1/4" set. Not too many odd 1/4s for me, so no gripe about the missing 15mm 1/4 drive. Like I said stuff like that is in the plastic tray still.
I did need to buy some trays for stuff like my torx bits and impacts though. 3/8 and 1/2 drive.
My biggest gripe is the 1/2 drive set holders like you said. I had to buy 5 sets of 1/2" drive. 1 for my shallow impacts metrics, 1 for my shallow impacts SAE, 1 for my deep impacts metric, 1 for my deep SAE metric, and 1 for my 12 point CV metric deep wells. I'll have to buy a 6th if I ever get 12 point SAE deep wells.
I wish they just sold a bigger holder that went from 10mm to 27mm shallow and then 10mm to 27 mm deep in the same holder. It would be huge, of course. That and sticking the deep wells in the shallow spots means they can fall out if they're upside down...
On the plus side at least the 21mm to 27mm deeps and 15 /16 to 1 1/4 deeps let you put a shallow socket in and not need to fish it out with pliers. There's enough hanging over the top that you can just pull them out.
I just have a Camaro. I do like they go a bit bigger myself. There are a couple of really big suspension bolts I have, think they're 22... plus the K-member bolts are pretty big too (21? 24? I forget).
I'm going to try these thanks!
2nd time watching this video, I will be buying some of those socket holders now
Eddy Goodwin I love them, I bought another set for my impact sockets and they all fit great too. They are strong and hold up good.
Looks good jay
I like em, the wrench holders are good also
These look neat👍👍
Just OCD wise they just look nice and organized 👍🏻
Good video, thanks. I now know what I am getting.
thank you brotha for this good info i need some off those . cheeeers
I got the 3/8 ones and put my Capri impacts in them, put 8 in the 6, 9 in the 7 all the way to the 22 in the 20. Only a couple didn't fit and I just used a dremel to widen the hole on those few
Nice harbor freight box
Thanks, smart choice to hold my snap on in.
Thanks for the video/info i need to order some of these holder brotha. cheeeeers
j georges you’re welcome glad it helped, these things are awesome
Good info. Subbed 👍🇺🇸
Well crap.....I guess im going shopping now..... 😁😁 thanks for the info buddy....
Have you transitioned to the 3-row organizers yet? They solve your gripe(s).
Just wish they had all their normal color options, pretty limited thus far.
Olsa Tools going to fix the lacking slots in the 1/2 tray? Thanks for pointing that out 🙏🏿🙈😉
magnets....amazing
That why I am going to buy the tool box widget I can make my own
Some impacts don't fit due to the thick wall of the brand. But there so many options out there now, forget about it lol 😅
Sooo organized 😍. Is this how organized your carts and box always are or did you tidy up for the video? .....I think I need to have a talk with Mr. Practical Mechanic about organization lol 😂
😂😂
Valamilk haha thanks Val... yes I always try 🤣 I can have a talk AGAIN with Mr. Practical Mechanic but I feel he might be an old dog that doesn’t learn new trucks 😂😂😂 you might have a better shot getting him organized that me. Poor Chad lol
Ill give it my best try....don’t hold your breath 😂😂
What would the max height be with a deep socket? Trying to see if my drawer will work for this setup I have 3-3/4" to work with.
My half in from bottom of holder to top of largest half inch socket is 3.5” so you’re good
@@weldingjunkie Awome - thanks. Now if they would re-stock the metric in purple for the 3 pack that would be nice to get the ball rolling...
Tbats why I didnt purchase them. 1/4 only goes up to 14 mm. I'll just stay with what I have, the post socket holders.
Yeah I have the post ones too once I hit 15mm I’m usually on 3/8 anyway so for it good. The magnets are strong the stick sideways on anything without falling out
How well have magnets held up
Excellent still just as strong they get a bit dirty but I wipe them off before I put them back. Still holding strong all the way around
The only bad thing about the magnet is they collect grit dirt and that’s like putting dirt right on your tools .
I always wipe them down if I take them out, but yes if you don’t they will for sure. I use tub o towels.
Mount the rachets to the lid, then you have room for the other sockets
110 for set
I’m not sure i bought a year ago they are worth it for sure.
These are all made in the same factory in ching Chang China I bought the exact same holders but from another brand (power fist) for 12 Dollars each.
@@cheezuscrust7730 got a link ?
@@weldingjunkie I bought it at Princess auto it's the harbor freight of Canada youll pay too much shipping if you order from here bro
Lowe's has the kobalt line of socket organizer like this ones and are great
Magnets hold really strong and don't cost but couple dollars
Nowadays everyone makes the same stuff
this shit is $500 for a whole set? you're fuckin kidding me, right? that's more than I paid for the sockets
$500 for set? I paid $89, where are you seeing that ?
