- We visited during the opening week and our first impression was... it was not what we expected. Watch this video before visiting to decide if it is worth your time to visit.
Icon Bali is the newest shopping mall 'mega mall' newly opened in June 2024 in Sanur Bali.

My style is mall vibe so I must go to this mall when coming to Bali. Forget the heat outside, just need to relax.
I was looking forward to a trip back to Sanur but this was built right next to the hotel where I stayed last time. Ugh. No thanks. I suppose it will encourage hotels to build up in that area again but there are other places I can spend my vacations where I don't need another shopping mall.

Saya pikir mall itu dibangun pasar utamanya adalah turis lokal yg berlibur ke bali, karna orang indonesia secara umum suka ke mall untuk hangout dan makan, tidak selalu untuk berbelanja

di Indonesia itu Mall bukan untuk di bali.jadi memang dibuat yang biasa aja, berbeda jika Mall di bangun di Jawa ,Sumatra atau Kalimantan. Pasti lebih mewah dan area parking yang sangat luas 😊
Yaaa the malls in Jakarta are much more amazing. That’s why I had high expectations and hopes for this one 😂
biasa saja bagaimana maksudnya? 😃 kalau maksudnya lebih kecil ya benar / wajar karena itu tergantung jumlah penduduk juga. lagipula di bali ada batasan tinggi bangunan, rata-rata cuma 3 - 4 lantai. Living world dan beachwalk cukup bagus kok, sedikit lebih besar dari icon

That seems to be what many residents around there have been saying too. Btw I’m visiting Jakarta right now and the malls here are sooooo much better!

Well, Bali has had a massive influx of tourist dollars and its a free economy. So the population can support a mall, like Samui etc. It's legal, approved. What's the issue?
I'm staying nearby soon. Will check it out for sure. Glad they're developing.
We can still go to the beach or stay away.
