Hi guys really enjoying your videos just discovered you today. Love that you are positive and not scaremongering… we love Kuta beach and Poppies 2 we stay at Satriya Cottages a lot. We also love Sanur … thanks for great fun content. Keep it coming. 😊
Love staying at the Grand Barong Resort. Best place to stay and amazing breakfast. Shopping in Poppies Lane 2 is so much fun. And yayyyyy Michelle, Go Pies 🏆🍹🌴🙏
@@matmalpass241 We found it to be clean and modern with an above average pool area. Reviews are 8/10, which is excellent, but yes, everyone should do their own research.
Ear is getting there, I think. Keep that leg rested and keep on going with the youtube work. Don't forget to do subtitles , at least, in Indonesian. :-)
Awesome video, you have convinced me to shop in Poppies 2(Like i have for the last 20yrs plus)Was going to give Legian/Seminyak flea markets a go also in November this year.I am really digging the fixed price as last time i shopped opposite bali garden In Tuban and the lady's threw water bottles at us and it was stressfull😭🥴
We looked at Legian (garlic as well), some fixed price creeping in as well but still nowhere as chilled as poppies has become. In poppies, you can actually walk past most shops now without having to look down and be evasive. Yeah, we have a long history with bali as well. Enjoy your stay.
Thanks for your very informative video I am travelling there this year...fixed price so much better headaches having to barter all the time,no doubt..where do you suggest to stay. KUTA OR Seminyak. First time in Bali 😮.
I prefer Kuta for many reasons - easier access to beach, more roads and laneways to access (exploring), it is all round cheaper, way more shopping and has more diversity of culture (you can literally sit and watch people from all walks of life passing by). Kuta really does have a great energy. BUT - If you are after high end western dining and awesome nightlife, then Seminyak is your go to (you just miss out on all that Kuta has to offer). Hope this helps, Sam and Mich.
Nice video. I walk every day there. I live 100 m in Jl. Benesari. But you missed the best rice in Kuta. The woman that sells along the street at the broken building at minute 12:40 in your video. For less as 1 dollar you have some mixed rice with chicken. She's every day there. My daily breakfast.
Love the video. Unable to say which is better ie violet crumble vs crunchie as my wife forbids me from eating them😎 I reek on they both would taste “enuk sekali”. Sp??
Taking my fiance this June who's never been. I've been but precovid 2017 and before. I'm expecting a bit of change. Definitely looking like fixed price is great, I used to get alot of anxiety trying to barter but I was only 20 my parents made me do it to learn 🤣
Shopping in Kuta is becoming easier and easier but shops that hassle and start with crazy prices do still exist. Fixed price stores are now becoming popular in parts of Sanur as well.
Sorry about that. We do try to do a mix. Consider,10,000 Rupiah is $1 Aussie dollar, (100,000 is 10 Aussie etc) - so a pretty easy conversion. But, when I used to research Americans in China or other places - I always had the conversion app open on my phone.
Kids stay tf away from rental bikes 🏍️… why tf -would you fly to a foreign country & risk your life & injury at a very high risk for a ride on a bike you don’t know and streets you have no idea 🤷🏽♂️ literally when I see a foreigner on a motorbike in a third world country I shake my head
Definety agree. You can see us giving the same message in lots of our videos. Side note: Mich and I are both full licence riders and have ridden around the world on bikes. I have been glued to a bike since about age 9 and have been a daily rider for about 30 + years (you will very rarely find me in a car). I also ride regular hard enduro, motorcross, race events plus more, probable one of the more competant riders you will meet, moreso than many of the indonesians. I am actually more comfortable on Indonesian roads than back home.
Selamat datang di Bali semoga bermanfaat wisata" nya di Bali ,.. banyak wisata2 yang bagus di bali
Thanks. We love it here and have enjoyed exploring.

Ahhh no, another pies fan. It was great staying in poppies 2, we really enjoyed it so much more than we thought we would.
The hotel is a run down dump! Read the recent reviews. Horrible place.

Apart from the Pies, I enjoyed this vid, thanks
🤣🤣
Bali’s the sort of place that if you were walking down the street with a sack of bananas you’d still get someone try to sell you more 😂
Tell me about it. You want one more, maybe 2 more, same price. Gotta give credit gor perseverance.
Thank you for your helpful video.
I ll stay 2 days at HardRock before going to Nusa Dua this December.
Now I know where to shop in Kuta :)
Our pleasure. Check out our clips on Sanur as well.

We hope you have a great time, and, yes, bartering can really be stressful. It's not something we grew up with.
like the vlog
Thanks heaps.
That should read “ I reckon both would taste great”
Hi Roger. I think your Violet crumble post was meant for the Bergs. :-)
Eiger local shooping.. Eiger tropical adventure
I see you avided Jimi fucking Hendrix 😂 told him to do his own t shirts and make some extra coin for himself
😂
Go the pies
Are the prices here in Australian dollars or United States dollars
Australian. :-)
Is the Bounty Hotel still there??Poppies 2
Yep, as far as I know, still alive and kicking :-)
Haha we used to go in there to get some peace from all the carnage back in 97’, was lovely with a great buffet
As far as I am aware it's been closed since Covid guy's think that you have the wrong hotel here 😮😅@BreatheBali
What currency do they accept?
Indonesian rupiah (IDR)
after 15 years they finally understood what "harrassing customers" means and how it hurts business. That was slow..
Shopping in Kuta is becoming easier and easier but shops that hassle and start with crazy prices do still exist. Fixed price stores are now becoming popular in parts of Sanur as well.
Are the prices still the same today 4 months later?
Ahhhh, Maybe time for another shopping video?
Kmart in Australia same price
Yes, often.
Sorry Michelle I have to hate Collingwood.😢 I Barrack for Melbourne ❤.Go Pendles 400 games Peace and Love and Loudmusic.😂🌈🕉♎
🤣🤣
What was your hotel like?
We loved it. Clean and modern.
Wish you'd talk in Rupiahs I'm English not an Aussie.

@@BreatheBali yes that's a good app to have.Does 3 conversions
What’s made to order!! 🙈🙈🙈. Unbelievable
As funny as it might seem, there are great taylors all over Bali. :-)

My math is not adding up so around $8 for 1 hr massage but for Hr and a half 15? SHOOT let me get 2 one hour massage 🤷
Prices vary greatly from shop to shop. Our advice is don't pay more than 10 per hour massage.
@@BreatheBali10 what.Being from the UK the money does my head in here.
