It is generally safe. I was driving with my phone (to use gmaps) and felt safe. But ofc you need to pay attention to your belongings no matter where you’re traveling to

I do not think Bali is the place to Discover , nothing interest compare Kho Phi Phi island and Krabi

Krabi has some beautiful spots around by boat but the small main street along the sea where the hotels are is dirty, and totally ugly

Ko phi phi and the beautiful beach by boat is beautiful but overcrowded by tourism
