First time playing this game by the way.
I may have accidentally encountered the Reaper but video shows the end of the fight.
Stay on a floor for at least 4 minutes (draw cursed cards while your at it) but each floor is random so encountering him varies between floors, each floor is either bigger or smaller than each other so it depends but wait around for at least 4-5 minutes.

I was about to be like "How the fuck did you last this long and the MC didn't get killed?" and then I saw the Battle Retry revival. 5 hours on this fight? Jeez that's some dedication to show the reaper the power of beginner difficulty.

You took the words right out of my mouth; how does that even happen? Last time I checked, the Reaper is known to have around 5000 SP so imagine how long the battle had been going on for.

I had the setting for infinite revives on, but difficulty was set to Hard for challenge.

My patience wore out near the end there, that was a difficult time I had with it.
If it wasn't for the fact I didn't get bored this video wouldn't be here and I did get slightly bored so I had breaks during it to keep my sanity from giving up.

@@Roxxo3 I wouldn't worry about how it is in your video, it's the same everywhere else if it's footage from this version of the game. ATLUS did a very shit job of porting this version, compared to how greatly ported P4G was. It's disappointed a lot of fans and it's really noticeable how lazy the upscaling was. If anything, a lot of features have been downgraded, especially the audio; that explains the crunchy quality people have been commenting about.

Good question, it took around 4-5 hours. I got heavily distracted during it though.

It was an accidental mistake, panic was running through my head.

Is it possible to lose on beginner? Like is there a limit to the revives?
There are infinite retires, like with Persona 5's safe mode all the easiest difficulties have infinite retries, Beginner for Persona 3 Portable, Persona 4 Golden's easiest difficulty and Persona 5/ Royal SAFE mode.
So there is no cap on retires, its an infinite amount until you click No when you lose.

Just go in the easiest difficulty, it has infinite retires but expect it to take hours of your day away. Have fun

That’s a valid question, just keep fighting at a low level and the more he uses your weakness the faster he’ll run out of SP or if he uses Megiolodoan (can’t spell) he’ll just spam your weakness (I was on beginner hence the spam on retries) but the more he targets a weakness or an Almighty skill he will lose SP quick and makes your win faster and painful for him.
That’s what I did lol
I do admit I was on Beginner mode though so best try on that difficulty for the best results.
@@Roxxo3 What you could do is use Spirit Drain yourself and make him run out faster

Later in the game you get 1 million yen for defeating the reaper but you need to unlock the elizabeth request

@@chix1337 No, it's actually 5,000,000 Yen from doing the quest and beating the reaper, not 1 million Yen. Plus you get access to Monad Depths which is basically easy farming so defeating the Reaper late game is worth it.

@@Roxxo3question: do you ever need to be strategic with fighting the reaper or do you just power through it? The only debuff I have affects evasion and hit rate, so I cant effect his defense
Usually put his defense and attack down, use the magic / attack spells that reflect or block the reapers attacks, but make your own strategy up and edit your team your way and do things your way.

Pixie is pixie, what else can I say about it?
But I used as a de-buffer so she needs the XP
It’s not a waste, pixie’s stats can pass on to another in fusion.

It’s not cheating, the game literally tells you on the difficulty screen that easy grants infinite retries.
