@@CappuccinoMoto the headlight has a real industrial vibe. I love it! the 900 bars might a smidge higher, I find I don't get as much visibility as I would like because it's mostly my arms I'm getting a view of. But some more angled bars (the woodcrafts) will fix that. But they look great!
After I got mine, first thing without a doubt- THAT HUGE FENDER. Scrapped that for a nice one, then from there I went crazy.. side panels, levers, engine covers, frame sliders.. the latest was the headlight and turn signals up front. So much nicer! Also I agree, tbh I didn’t realize how streamlined the bike is without the passenger pegs 😂

1st things to eliminate on a bike are the plate holder, stock mirrors (because no company can release a decent pair) and the reflectors. then you get the exhaust, then the sprocket and so on and so on...
Great video for someone that is currently modifying like me! Exhaust was definitely first upgrade I did. Completely changes the XSR’s character. Took those passenger pegs off a week or two ago. My wife doesn’t have any interest to ride with me. Did a few other things as well. Tail tidy arrives today! Keep up the great content!
Cappuccino Moto it was a tough decision for me. Originally wanted to keep the OEM round brake light but went with the New Rage LED tail tidy. I was worried the brake light would not be visible enough but another youtuber Yammienoob installed it on a giveaway bike and it looks great and is still very visible.

I left the passenger pegs on just for more crash protection. I did just buy a motodemic head light, which is basically the last mod I needed. Everything else is done. My first 3 were fender eliminator, exhaust, and mirrors. (CRG Arrow mirrors)
@@CappuccinoMoto yeaahhhh... Motodemic was a little expensive but the stock bulb sucks (as you already know) and I didn't find an aftermarket LED bulb worth shit so I just went big... You know, "done" as in... For now.. I did exhaust, power commander, signals, bars, mirrors, 1 up seat, rear rack, fender eliminator, crash protection, dart fly screen, head light, painted some stuff matte black and next I'm wrapping the tank shroud in matte black... Another $200.. 🤕

I definitely would put the flatter seat in first. Even the one Yamaha sells as an option isn't bad. That stock rear definitely needed to go. The last thing of my first 3 mods would be under the bar, bar end mirrors.

the LED headlight should be standard equipment by Yamaha. Instead of adding just new colors, upgrade all lights to LED (I'm sure they are cheaper, so no excuse). Hope the new 2021 model would come with them by default. I'm gonna buy a bike and the XSR 700 is my top1 for the next year (I'm waiting for the Euro5 changes)
@@CappuccinoMoto I think it's only for EU, China, India and a couple more countries for now, but it's new regulation that compils to reduce 30% exhaust emissions. Long story short, most manufacturers will have to make changes to exhaust and engines to ajust. So will see a lot of bike updates for the next year. Most of them minor changes, but I'm sure that's why some bike models didnt receive significant update this year, waiting for next year changes.

How did you get the front mesh on the headlight? I have the brogue jw speaker 8700 and I took it apart to put that same mesh in front and it did not seem to fit
What an inspiration... "Get rid of reflectors, you don't need them" Probably get alot of hate from your subscribers, but yeah.. Do you need a helmet? Sure yes, it protects me in case of an accident. So it is a corrective action on an event (the accident). Telling your viewers (many of them probably being new riders) to get rid of the reflectors because they don't need them is so irresponsible. Reflectors act preventative, so that you hopefully won't even "need" the helmet...

Look up any “Yamaha turn signal m8 adapter” on google, eBay or amazon. They look like little oval eggs. You’ll need two per light to sandwich together. Hope that helps!

am I the only one whose first "mod" was buying a frame sliders and protectors (for alternator, radiator) to save the beauty in case of bad luck? I found the stock exhaust on my XSR900 pretty loud already, not beautiful, but quite loud. Headlight and appropriate gear (retro helmet, leather jacket etc) is my mod.
Nice stuff Jacob, your bike has always served as an inspiration to what I wanted to do with my own! Do you have a link to the headlight grill you have on the lamp? The next mod I’m considering is the handlebars & levers. The levers mainly because I want to black them out...the handlebars I don’t really have a problem with, but I’ve heard from so many people how much a swap improves the handling...I’m not looking for a more aggressive position or look, but if it does mage the bike easier to navigate/more responsive, then I’m intrigued. That Ozark ending though...?!?! Another show I’d recommend would be the Last Kingdom, season 4 starts next weekend, the 26th. Be well!

Warning, it'll require a different front headlight housing ring. Levers are a must. Bars, up to you. Bars give it a different stance for me, but not much more of an 'ease' of handling i guess. Love the mods and attention to detail. I’m the same way! So, being that the height of the XSR700 is just a bit high for me, how much thinner is the brogue seat from the stock one? If I were to get one, I’d have the seat shaved. I would like to avoid using lowering links if possible, so as not to mess with the stance. Great video...Thanks!
I like the comfort now better. It’s a higher quality foam. Maybe one area that’s firm at the back of your butt but never hit that area unless I’m showing off haha

BTW the passenger footrests are a safety when crashing the bike they protect your legs! so do not remove even when riding solo most of the time!

am I the only one whose first "mod" was buying a frame sliders and protectors (for alternator, radiator) to save the beauty in case of bad luck? I found the stock exhaust on my XSR900 pretty loud already, not beautiful, but quite loud. Headlight and appropriate gear (retro helmet, leather jacket etc) is my mod.

The next mod I’m considering is the handlebars & levers. The levers mainly because I want to black them out...the handlebars I don’t really have a problem with, but I’ve heard from so many people how much a swap improves the handling...I’m not looking for a more aggressive position or look, but if it does mage the bike easier to navigate/more responsive, then I’m intrigued.
That Ozark ending though...?!?! Another show I’d recommend would be the Last Kingdom, season 4 starts next weekend, the 26th.

Thank you mucho! Headlight grill can be found from the source Max Inc over in china. you may have to email them if it's not on their webpage. Warning, it'll require a different front headlight housing ring. Levers are a must. Bars, up to you. Bars give it a different stance for me, but not much more of an 'ease' of handling i guess. not many scramblers out there at all unless they are modified. I would say the 62 by ducati is nice though.
Love the mods and attention to detail. I’m the same way! So, being that the height of the XSR700 is just a bit high for me, how much thinner is the brogue seat from the stock one? If I were to get one, I’d have the seat shaved. I would like to avoid using lowering links if possible, so as not to mess with the stance. Great video...Thanks!
Thanks! The brogue slim seat probably dropped it by about 1 - 1.5 inches.

I like the comfort now better. It’s a higher quality foam. Maybe one area that’s firm at the back of your butt but never hit that area unless I’m showing off haha
