Loved it! Ive been to Sendai before. Loved the area. Should be higher on peoples lists. Toyokan is beautiful (expensive) but def worth every yen for the experience
I plan to visit Japan in December, and seeing the awesome attention to detail and quality, I will try to get a table. And yes, I won't forget to mention you to Kazuki San. I just hope it fits into my itinerary.
Always happy when Ryotaro shows up in my feed and speaking of feed, wow! 11 dishes is quite the spread! That melon dessert was great value when you consider it could be shared by several people.
I didn't expect these videos to become what they have. I genuinely appreciate these types, where not only do you experience, you share the history, you also bring in and share the story of the people who Make it happen.
Ryotaro celebrating in style with a 11 course kaiseki meal after Chris leaves Sendai for Tokyo. Probably rubbing it into Chris with a, "See what you just missed." 😆
it was so entertaining to see british slang used in the video, I'm sure the conversation was probably more polite than what was shown on screen but i loved it 😂😂
It felt strange yet entertaining to hear and see the contrast. The conversation they had in Japanese was not just "more polite", they were using keigo, the formal form of Japanese. My head was so confused trying to choose between listening or reading the subtitles because the vibes couldn't be any more different 😂😂😂
Shark fins are generally frowned upon in the west for a range of reason. Individuals can think, large groups do not. If you get shit for it , even if not immediatly, sometimes depends on the day.
All the food look delicious especially the melon at the end (although it looks too much for just one person to eat by themselves). Anyways, the subtitles... I don't know how to feel about it lol
Just came back from the 30k yen, 10 course meal and I must say it was amazing. My friend finally got the wagyu experience I wanted him to have and they made the shaved ice just for us, it is out of season for now. But I also think your manager friend was a bit annoyed that he had to interact with us two gaijins looking like fucking hobos hahaha. We literally had no formal clothes with us and didn't want to buy some, because that would be faking it, we don't do that. The two women were super chill and nice though. All in all worth the experience if you can afford it, we just went all in.
Shark fin, like foi gras, can be produced in humane and inhumane methods. I hope they sourced theirs humanely. Usually they catch the shark, cut off their dorsal fin and release them to die a slow horrible death, instead of killing the shark quickly and harvesting more of it for other uses.
I think that's more the Bags California, Gulf of Mexico and off Florida shark mutilation. Fins sell, the shark dies, fishermen get more fish if the sharks aren't around. Taking the life is cheap and easy way to profit.
Moin moin Ryotaro from Germany, the land with out good food. We only have currywust with chips (red a/o white) and kebab. The latter isn't even German. Or bread, real bread. Not that industrial stuff that isn't even bread like in the UK or the USA. Then you put real butter on the bread and that's it for "German" cuisine. There are a few exceptions, but they are not for the faint-hearted. Are you sure you are not the seret Dimo of Sendai?

For some country bumpkin like me , would you be so kind to say what price I could expect for something as luxurious as this ?

We arrived in Sendai yesterday on vacation so this video came at the right time. We will be sure to visit! Thanks!

10 minutes of watching Ryotaro eat a 10 course meal. Perfect.
ryotaro enjoying going to expensive restaurant after chris leaves Sendai for tokyo ..ryotaro is now the biggest RUclipsr in Sendai 🥳🥳
Ryotaro is living his best anime villain life
"No s*** Sherlock, I've said it four times." Had me weezing😆
Always happy when Ryotaro shows up in my feed and speaking of feed, wow! 11 dishes is quite the spread! That melon dessert was great value when you consider it could be shared by several people.
Few things about Ryotaro's videos tickle me more than his subtitles.
I'm going to mention the keyword "Ryotaro" in every single restaurant when visting Japan. What could possibly go wrong?
I didn't expect these videos to become what they have. I genuinely appreciate these types, where not only do you experience, you share the history, you also bring in and share the story of the people who Make it happen.
Something therapeutic about watching Ryotaro eat
Don't give up that day job for a career as a singer mate 😉
A classic way for Ryotaro to finish a video. Hustling a bloke for his viewers, gold.
2:27 I've never seen this before. Edible as well?
Ok, it's chocolate. So creative 👍
I love your friend. 😆He stole the spotlight right at the very end with that outro "Come see me in Toyokan!"😁👍
I love that the subtitles got more passive aggressive as the video went on XD
Browsing RUclips at the right time ❤ You know your day is going to be better when Ryotaro uploads
Endings have always a surprise !🍈🍈🍈
Ryotaro knows everybody in sendai. Facts.

"Cheers bruv" 🤣
Wow! An amazing place, thank you for doing this video!
Fantastic place. When you have the contacts & the money to eat there - that's when you know you've made it!
im like 50 second into this video and already sold on this place.
He is back! woohoo!
@ryotaro im surprised they serve shark fin? Isn't that illegal?
Probably isn't, but should be, like whaling.
RYOTARO! ❤❤❤❤
Sweet, Ryotaros video. Good times!
it was so entertaining to see british slang used in the video, I'm sure the conversation was probably more polite than what was shown on screen but i loved it 😂😂
when can i get some grub?
one step out from buss me the scran big donny

Beautiful place!!! And the food looks delicious!!!
Ryotaro, admit it. There was a geisha around to entertain you 😎
I'll be visiting Sendai in the next few months and would love to visit this place. Hopefully they serve other options and not just seafood.
Great Restaurant! 😃👍 But so far away from here unfortunately. 😔🗾
I think from the two bowls and spoons, he was planning to share that melon with Risotoro.
very interesting !
Food looks great and those Fuji cups are cool.
Nice, new video ! thanks
That level of shave ice looks totally worth it.
all around great video, thank you!! the subtitles were great haahaha
i hope they get loads of Ryotaro requests!
Ryotaro!!!😃
I love your Essex style subtitles 😂👍
I love you Ryotaro! We need to come up with a "Melt in your Mouth" Drinking game!!!! hahahaha
Toyokan! Amazing luxury japanese restaurant! 👍😊
That last Rice dish does sound fantastic. Never encountered that in the US.
This is your best video.
What an amazing place
Ryotaru, you're crazy.... crazy funny 😂
That cicada sound at beginning 😂 So Japan 🗾
"Japanese fruits are bloody expensive, innit?"😂😂😂 fuck I love your translations!
Stunning food in a beautiful setting. Would love to spoil myself at such a stunning restaurant 🎉😊 thanks for sharing. Ryotoro for Sendai marketing
This restaurant is worth a trip from Tokyo!
That melon kakigori though 😮
Wow! I wish I was there TODAY!!!!!!
That out fit demands some boots and a cowboy hat.
Ryotaro seems to be getting more and more handsome everyday 🤔
I was disappointed because you didn't say I FEEL LIKE A LUXURY. I think we would all like to hear that more often :)
Didn’t even think twice about the shark fin 😂
Take my upvote, Ryotaro Spears!

RYOTARO THE WHALE RICH AF
Cool, but too far from Osaka, right?
But uou made me hungry. And i want to visit japan asap.
Why is jelly used so much in kaiseki? I've browsed several menus out of curiosity & jelly dishes seem to be a mainstay
there are two types of japanese ppl - Ryotaro and Ryotaro's friends :D
That ending! 😂
Any places like this you can recommend near sapporo

😁😁 yay
These "translations" are killing me 🤣
Can a normal tourist visit Ryoutei around Japan?
Of course, that's the point of the video mate.
"Melon shaved ice is only available in July and August"
Me: *looks at calender*...damn :P
I'm moreso wondering how all your friends own restaurants
Did you feel luxury?
Why would we ask why you are looking so chic? You ARE the Sheik of Chic, it's expected.
Is it $26 for the full course or just for the fruit?
$26 for the melon. Fruit is crazy expensive in Japan.
You will however do tent do get fruit made / selected to be as perfect as they can be.
Thank goodness you haven't sang again 😅😂🤣 you done enough emotional damage from first time
kaiseki is a hit or miss for me..... sometimes the good looks do not equate to good taste
The high joke density 👌
Ryotaro knows food better then that mad english lad
The subtitles kill me every time
Should they really be serving shark fin..?
nice
Shark fin, like foi gras, can be produced in humane and inhumane methods.

I have to wonder how expensive it is to eat at this place. I wanna try their food XD
Roughly $200 usd minimum
don't listen to this other guy that commented, i just looked at the website and the same meal Ryotaro had is only $70
@@Erynzindulge 70 is a steal for fine dining

As much as I enjoyed the "translations" in the subtitles, they become a hindrance if you don't translate correctly the meaning.
I love the horribly wrong translations, mate
Wait, what's wrong with the translation? I'm only at marginal JLPT 4 but the colloquial language seemed okay.
