Thanks for the video! Am also curious what specific fuses you tapped into. My understanding is that they have to be between 15A - 25A for both connections. I haven't been able to locate a good diagram for my 2017 4Runner.
I’ve seen some fuse diagrams vary from 4Runner years. The best way to go about choosing the right fuse is to actually use a test light and locate the +positive and ignition fuse. Turn on and off the car and if the light turns on, it’s an ignition + fuse
hello there 😅 Still waiting I need the picture because I didn't know which fuse and I have 4runner 2022 I think it will be the same fuse box so please help me 😅
Why not use the Dongar Technologies harness ? It plugs into the OEM mirror harness and you don't have to run the power wires down to the 12 volt outlet or fuse box.
Quick question: the yellow wire fuse, did you have to snip it off and replace with an "add-a-fuse?" I have a 21 ORP and ordered the G890 with the interior camera. I wasn't sure if the fuse on yellow wire fit into the fuse box or had to be sipped? TIA!
Because the actual dash cam monitor sleeps when the vehicle is parked, it barely drains. I’ve had my car parked for a week and had no issues starting back up. There’s a button to turn on and off if you want to view while the vehicle is off

can please take a clear picture of the fuse box so we can know which fuse
Ill try to snap some pics when I get under there again. Its always good to use a light tester. Sometimes the fuse placements can be different.

I thought about the dongar but it will not go to parking mode
You need hardwire or OBD to go into parking mode- a dongle is ACC only

I used a add a fuse to split the fuse line once I located the power and the ignition
With the camera being constantly powered Does it ever drain the battery ?
