- In this video we test out the 4Runner and explore some of the most scenic locations in the Pacific Northwest. This is the first of many adventures as we continue to build the 4Runner and explore. Stay tuned as next month we will be doing a 7 day off-road adventure in the states of Washington and Oregon where we start to challenge the vehicle and dive deeper into overlanding as a family.
Hope you enjoy the video!

It's heartwarming to see a young family enjoying real quality time that can only come from a road trip like the one you did. Kuddos to you guys. I haven't done one of these a over a decade and I absolutely miss the adventure, solitude and mobility of my old 4Runner. You have a beautiful family. Take care of each other and those memories do last a life time.
You have a beautiful family. Where true wealth lies. You have everything a man could ever want in this life. You’re a very lucky man. Great video, keep up the great content
This video is so underrated.. thanks for taking us along with you!
I can tell you're a great dad and husband, setting a great example for others. Awesome job with the video - you're very talented. Some of the greatest drone shots I've seen in overlanding videos. How you frame the mountains while tracking your vehicle is top notch. Keep up the great work.
I've been watching your videos for the runner mx stuff. I just happened to start watching this one and ended up watching the entire video. The filming felt like something that was done by a studio. You've got a talent. Well done!
Thanks so much! We had a lot of fun making it
I second this !
Facts. This channel is going places
I third this! 👌👍❤
Im 3 minutes in and all ready subbed. Nice camera. Nice pleasant back ground music. You have a capturing voice. Your going places bud. No pun intended 😂.
Y'all are making some great memories. Thanks for sharing.
Our pleasure!
That is a WEALTHY man, God indeed blesses you.
This was a masterpiece! You are a true editing genius.
If this video doesn't want to make you start over landing nothing will. ❤❤
Wow, what an awesome trip with the family. And the best part about making videos of your adventures is you get to relive those memories whenever you want. That's one of the things I love most about documenting adventures. Thanks for sharing!
This video should have so many more views! Really enjoyed exploring along with you, virtually. Looking forward to more 4Runner exploration!
beautiful family. These memories will last a lifetime.
Great video!!! Enjoyed every minute. Thanks for taking us along! 😎
Thanks so much! It’s a bit of a different video for the channel so I appreciate that
Great video and such a beautiful family and memorable trip. Thank you for taking us along.
Thanks so much! Can’t wait for the next one
Awesome video and family trip! Thank you for sharing!
this is the best looking 4runner i have ever seen
Thanks for sharing! I just got a 2021 4R and this gives me lots of ideas! Great job!
Randomly stumbled across your channel looking for 4runner modding videos but wow, this video was something else! Trips like this are the ones you remember fondly forever and I'm glad you brought us along for the trip. Family and 4runner goals!!!
Nice. This is the exact plan for our 5th gen Runner in a couple years when my son is old enough to enjoy it.
Absolutely remarkable!
Great video brother! Love how unique it is in many ways
California is stunning. Great videography!
ดูแล้วมีความสุข ได้ออกไปท่องเที่ยวกับครอบครัว ...สวยงาม 🇹🇭👍🏻🙂🤟🏻
What a great video. Keep at it and you'll blow up soon. I found this linked from other 4Runner videos but this is so much more.
This is Beautiful! Thank you for sharing :]
I live in my 4runner. Absolutely love it!
Great video and awesome trip!
Awesome adventure. Great video.

Insanely beautiful video
New to your content and future 4Runner owner. I appreciate this and you have really good editing skills. Thank you for sharing your journeys.
Awesome video!
Very cool video! I’m starting into camping and I want a 4Runner!
Loved the rooftop setup timelapse! Nice Job! THis is the first video of yours I've watched and I really enjoyed it!!!
Thank you!!
Just stumbled upon your channel while looking for videos on 4Runner builds. You guys did a great job putting this video together, it looks like you had a lot of fun, and the video and editing is definitely studio quality!
Great overlanding trip with family, hopefully soon I can do the same if I finally finish setting up overlanding gears on my T4R
Good luck with the build and I hope you can get out there soon
It’s an amazing adventure journey. I love this video very much, and I gonna built my 5th gen 4Runner like yours❤
Thanks so much!! Let me know if you have any questions . Cheers!
Great video
You're lucky to have seen Lake Isabella after an epic, snowy winter. The years prior had the water levels so low.
That’s very awesome something so different to the channel very good and yes ur rite a lot of memories will be made love ur videos ! Hi from San Diego
Thanks so much! Happy you liked it and we really enjoyed spending sometime in your backyard. Beautiful state with so much to explore. Cheers!
nice opening
This is Quality!! Subscribed
What kind of camera do you have if i may ask?
In a word, awesome! I agree, the video work was stunning, and the music went along with it all, perfectly! Throwing dirt at the 4Runner? Priceless!
Thank you! 🙏🏼
wholesome
This is amazing!!!
Thanks man! 😎
Stumbled upon this video guess cause I also have a 4runner lol but great production and beautiful video I go to Lake Isabella often it’s awesome there
This is literally one of my favorite places in Oregon. I love camping out here in my 4th gen! Just be sure to leave when it starts raining 😅
Very nice video 🤙🏼
I was there at the Furnace Creek Visitor Centre last year September during the heat wave and it was 52 degrees Celcius, the hottest temp I've experienced in my life and I had a Mustang with soft top so it didn't help at all. I remember seeing my takeout pancake stored in the trunk as hot as newly microwaved so at least I could have warmed up pancake for lunch LOL. I miss the trip.
This is my first video of yours. I immediately subscribed, just based on your intro. Wow, you have some great editing/story-telling skills. Your trip was clearly awesome, but to be able to actually capture it and share it is not easy work. I would absolutely love to see a little segment on how you managed to capture this: @6:54. Edit: I wrote the previous comment without finishing the rest of the video. I take my comment back..the whole video was a work of art. I’d love to see a “behind the scenes” of the whole thing.
Thank you so much!! The segment at 6:54 was a time-lapse on a motorized slider. I used long 30 seconds exposures, over the course of 2.5hrs to capture the milky way in high detail. Very much appreciate the comment!
We just got done with a x-country trip that went through some of those areas, on our way home to Oregon. However, the 4wheeling we did was in Utah. All the maintenance I did before and after was due to your maintenance videos! You should do more adventure vlogs like this one!
Thanks man! I’m going to be hitting Utah in April, can’t wait. Definitely going to vlog that whole trip and make a video
3:18 must say I love how after you passed the accident scene the edit went to a jackass. I'm sure the officer thought of you like that. I believe you were making the best of your build.
Beautiful video! Just wondering how you did the intro with the map showing where you were headed? That was cool and nice touch!! Love that your family was along!! Special moments to share together!
I'm going to drive my 23 LTD from Central Florida to Ottawa, ON for the second time this year, very fun to drive. In March, I bought matte black TRD 17" wheels and Load Range E 3PMSF BFG KO2s so I would not have to worry about road debris too much! 🤪 I was hoping for snow in April, but only found mud 😁
Sounds like a fun adventure. I had those exact tires on my last truck, they are indestructible. Took them on some nasty trails where people routinely get flats and they never failed me, not once. Hope you have a good trip
niceee
Great to see your family adventure! Seems like you guys enjoyed a lot. By the way, what underbody shield did you install?
buttery cinematic video my dude! Keep up the great work!
each trip you usually learn a vital lesson… like avoiding overhead power cables when flying drones and such - hope you took something away from this trip like that 😁🎉
Thanks so much my dude!!
🤣 lessons were learned
What a fun and beautiful trip. Thank you for sharing it. You got some amazing footage. What drone are you using?
Thank you! Just the mini 3 pro but I tried to shoot under the best lighting to make up for the smaller sensor
I did a similar trip this summer in my Sienna, 6 weeks in Colorado, Utah, Arizona, Nevada and California. Total trip was 12k miles, coming from Florida. I wish i would have made it up to Oregon, maybe next summer. I used IOverlander the whole trip and never paid for a room.
That’s awesome! IOverlander is great
You will absolutely see us at the next video. Im already excitedly in patience 😂😂😂
Utah is the next video. Bit of a different vibe as it’s a boys trip. Me and my cousin 😁
Crazy footage and locations. Can’t wait to share it
@@T4Rgarage bro can't wait man. Just got my a 4runner. Can't wait to visit some of these places. Im.in kentucky so got a alot I can see here starting out and move further out. Your videos are nothing but inspiring and motivation enhancing. I appreciate the time you spend getting this "super high quality " family friendly videos. Its a breath of fresh air to be able to watch thing with your kids tht are not absolutely. . . Well adulty which is fine to but not for my kids. Thanks again stay safe out there maybe one day will cross path brother. Stay true
Awesome!!Got me interested in tradingvmy Highlander for a 4 runner. Been hesitant due to the poor gas mileage and antiquated interior. But the capability to go more remote places is tempting
The 6th gen should be out in 2025. It will likely be a hybrid with a 4cyl turbo. Hopefully it will be just as capable off-road
Funny, the photo I have on this profile is from that desert 💜. It is super rad, agreed!
Great video. Do you recall which campground and site you stayed at at Lake Isabella? I frequent that area and go use a new spot to go to.
Sandy flats I believe
Awesome video bro. I have a 5th gen 4runner and a bunch of kids that’d love to do this kinda stuff with.
We’ve taken road trips but not overlanding and camping stuff.
Would love to check out Big Sur camping one day
Thanks man! I’d highly recommend Big Sur, so much to do in that area. I think your kids would love it. We are going to do a full 7 day overland trip next month with the little guy. We found the trick for us was 3-4hr max driving per day, snacks, and an IPad loaded with educational games 😅
@@T4Rgarageyeaaa man, you’re right about the 4 hours haha. That’s what we did on our way to Utah from SoCal.
Just rewatched the video with my wife. Really itching to do a trip like this soon
Happy for you guys! living my dream..maybe one day..more power!
these visuals are incredible, how did u capture all of those cool time lapses?
They allowed vehicles back on to Usal beach now?
Lil dude said i just wanna finish my food 😂
❤❤❤
Dude this video is killer!!! What mic are you using? It sounds absolutely amazing
Thanks man!!! Your name looks familiar. I have you on my landscape instagram account. Been following your Astro-photography for a while, I really enjoy your work! Been shooting landscapes for a while now myself. The mic I used is the Rode VideoMic Pro, that’s what I used to narrate the video and for some of the scenes as well
@@T4Rgarage Oh no way! small world! love the video man!! thank you! the audio sounds perfect in this! thanks for getting back!!
The dirt on your lens is very bothersome, great video!
You have a beautiful family, what time is dinner?😊
Awesome video bro!. Do you have any recommendations for showering and toilet use while on such remote trips?
Probably pack a shovel and wet wipes
nice name for your son lol
What is the first song in the video?
The world is just one step away from being enjoyed
Too corny….I’ll see myself out
🤣
What spare tire and wheel your have for the truck?
Just the stock, but I am looking at getting a proper matching spare and possibly a new rear swing out bumper to hold it. Damn those are pricey though 😝
Where can I Find a 4runner camping roof tent like you have
There are a lot to choose from online. I ordered from thule/tepui. Free shipping to my door
Hows the gas mileage? How many times did u stop for gas? Did u ever get nervous about it?
10 smiles per gallon. Filled up almost every day. We spent a small fortune on fuel but we have the memories forever. We saved a a lot of money on accommodations, so that kind of makes up for it.
Great video need to learn how to season ur meat
Did you change your whole bumper on the limited??? Did you get insurance money because it’s kinda expensive for pure just a non functional look
It is expensive. The limited bumper hangs down much lower than the other trims. This means your approach and departure angles for off-roading aren’t as good. I also wanted a winch bumper and most if not all of them are designed for the non-limited trims. I sourced the parts and did it myself, including paint, so it wasn’t too bad. I have a video on the whole process from start to finish
@@T4Rgaragethanks brotha! I have a limited 2011 and I ripped out the system and got OME just like you hahah. I’d love to get a ARB bumper because I love they way they look on my fathers 80 series cruiser. But I’m time . I know they are a great deal heavy . Great videos tho because I believe you’re one of the few people upgrading a Limited. You should make a video of your journey to stock and Now but more on the shop installs
Hi ,would you try our headlight bulb?
You didn't really talk about how you built the 4runner
California isn't my kind of place when it comes to a lot of their politics, however their scenic areas are amazing
Who asked?
@@HIDrifterA ya momma.
Bummer you have to go through commyfornia, don't pick up illegals sorry bro jus pissed off about socialist states
