I spent 3 hours last night just browsing the new presets and completely fell in love. My only gripe is Analog Lab 4 had a much better design for work flow and worked better with the Keylab MKII.
Great instructional video. Her demo of the KeyLab Mk ii convinced me to move away from my M-Audio Axiom Pro to the Arturia controller. It was between that and Novation but showing me how the KeyLab could control Collection convinced me to buy both the KeyLab and Collection. I’ve gone from collection 6, to 7 (had to have Mellotroin), and now 8!

Apparently the Library, Studio and Stage options have been removed because I sure can't find them. Maybe update the tutorial if you're making such drastic changes to the UI??
This is something I asked Arturia support before when you had Analog Lab 4. You don't have a detune option. This is very important as there is music that is not on 440 Hz frequency scale. Some prefer to choose 432 Hz, some 528 Hz. Mini V2 that comes with Keylab Essentials 61 gives me the option to use Fine Tune option where I can set -32.0 cents. I use Omnisphere 2 latest version and they provide options to set the master frequency. My main DAW is : Presonus Studio One 5.3 and the artists instruments and Mai Tai gives me the options to perform or set fine tuning. Your Analog Lab V has a large library of instruments which is good. But you don't provide basic adequate controls like fine tuning, or changing octaves for each patch. This is preventing me from using your VST. Another feature you can enhance is, to audition each sound when I select. In Omnisphere 2, when I click on a patch I get to hear the sound and keep searching until I find something. Thanks

Nice explanation. Because I´m always searching for the most original sound when covering I´m wondering if there will be something like "generate the sound of..." Given a sound example of an original keyboard part extracted from an existing song via file or mic. Just to save time when searching sounds for a coverband. A Kind of Ki which is able to analyse which instrument is played and how to modify it to get the original sound. That would be perfect.
Just bought the Keylab Mk2 61 two days ago and I'm stunned to discover that the supplied Analog Lab V Lite software doesn't allow basic editing tools like ADSR (Attack/Decay/Sustain/Release) at all. I add a little ADSR to nearly every patch I make. I appreciate the Lite version doesn't allow deep paramater editing on various synths, but ADSR is a basic! I feel like I've been played, so if I have no success within a couple of days I'm deleting the lot of it. May even send the board back, as part of its high price is due to the included software. Really disappointed, as I thought Arturia were better than this.

When using analog lab V can you start from scratch and just solely create a patch from any synthesizer using the original parameters etc? Just like as you would do it with the hardware.
You can buy individual synths from Arturia then you have access to the entire synths functions to make patches. I think they're a bit pricey as individual synths so maybe their package the V collection another in this thread pointed out.
thanks for the excellent demo, Can you analog lab work with non-arturia midi controller ? will this mapping be a one-time effort or need to be done per instrument/preset ?
Why can’t I get a preview of the sound when I select it, like in Komplete Kontrol (including the Arturia VSTs)? I find it much easier to find the when I get a preview while scrubbing thru the sounds.
I have always had latency issues with Analog Lab 4 and now 5. I've moved the buffer all around, with no luck. So beyond frustrating. I poked around a bit (I didn't have much time yet) but I didn't find any naked and raw sounds! in the sense, I would like to select the MiniMoog and start from a raw sound, without any preset, I would like to create the sound exactly as if I had the minimoog in front of me. Could you kindly explain to me in which section I could find what I'm looking for? and therefore not presets but instruments that start from scratch like when you would turn on a real one for the first time! Thanks so much in advance for your reply!
Hi there, looking to buy keylab mak2 and wondering, do I get access to lab 4 as well as lab 5? sounds like lab 4 has a better integration between hardware and physical knobs/faders
nice front end to the collection but far too convoluted to use in work flow. Perhaps examine East Wests "play" they seem to have the interface for their collection together
After trying East West Symphonic Orchestra Gold, I will never use another EW product again. I've NEVER seen a more convoluted, ridiculous installation/authorization procedure in my life. It was the antithesis of intuitive. Absolutely God awful.
I literally was just having a WTF moment regarding the same issue! From what I can tell, you have be in Explore (playing presets) mode, hover over the right hand patch details column and press Edit Preset to get to the 'Studio' section. For 'Stage' you have to be in Playlists and click on 'Go on Stage'. It definitely seems like a slightly obtuse UX decision.
I have a problem. The Analog Lab V works only into a Daw. Using directly the APP Analog Lab V without DAW the keys Don’t work. However, I can read in the screen of my Arturia Keylab essential the sound that I am using
Hey Arturia, what happened to the piano section in Analog Lab V with the latest update? Can't change piano settings anymore. Piano V2 works separately. Why?
Now I got to get used to the new update. I like some things better but some things I didn' t like changed. Is it me or are there less presets. AL4 has close to 7000 presets and AL5 only has 3000 or so. Oh well I can always use both .
Can I faithfully import the patches I created in AL 4? I'm seeing posts on various sites that there may be 'translation' issues where the sounds may not not come over exact. Can anyone verify?
if i buy the arturia lab V for the $200 price do i get the synths it features fully free? do i have access to importing my own presets and edit the patches?

for some reason it differs from person person from what I’ve heard. With me It was the komplete opposite. I literally never used Analog Lab 4 because I would always crash and it was just sooo slow. however Analog Lab 5 for some reason works really great and loads fast and doesn’t crash (as of yet).

I want to use different sounds for different parts in a song (live performace with a band) , when i switch the sound in Analog Lab V, the swtich is very hard. Is there a way to switch sounds smoothly?
I'm pretty new to making music, but just got my Keylab49 today. I've been tinkering around with Garageband and a 25 key midi, but now that I have a few more keys on the 49, and new software, I wonder if I should abandon the Band and go to Analog Lab instead. Any insights? Thanks!
I just recently downloaded Analog V with the new purchase of my 88 key mk2 but there doesn't seem to be a studio or stage tab in the software.
New Minilab mk2 owner. Got Lite version of Al 4 and Al V. If I'd buy the V version.. will I also get the full version of Al 4? It seems to come with a lot more sounds!
No, they are upgrade separately.
is the analogLab installed on the keyboard itself (Keylab essential 88) or I must connect it to a laptop to make a sound?
Hello guys from Arturia! I just got the wonderful MKII 61 keylab and obviously I have the complete Analoglab V which is something unthinkable, both in terms of quality but above all because it is a complete software.
Do we get grand pianos if we buy midi controller?
Are all these sounds free? I'm thinking of buying an mk2, so this information would be helpful to know.
Hi! If you buy a KeyLab MkII, you'll get Analog Lab for free, with all the presets, and free updates in the future.
Cheers!
at 2:13 she played the same chord that tequila shots (kid cudi) has, anyone know the chord and how to play it??
Hello: I do not see the Library, Studio, andStage tabs on my Analog Lab V. How do you access those tabs?
I literally was just having a WTF moment regarding the same issue! From what I can tell, you have be in Explore (playing presets) mode, hover over the right hand patch details column and press Edit Preset to get to the 'Studio' section. For 'Stage' you have to be in Playlists and click on 'Go on Stage'. It definitely seems like a slightly obtuse UX decision.
the hardest part about this was trying to set it up. please make it more user friendly i got emails with no content
What is the difference between analog lab piano and piano v3? They both have same presets and sound.
hi my keyboard doesn't connect I just get the software keyboard how do I get my Arturia to connect to the software?
I have a problem. The Analog Lab V works only into a Daw. Using directly the APP Analog Lab V without DAW the keys Don’t work. However, I can read in the screen of my Arturia Keylab essential the sound that I am using
lots of problems with purchased sound banks. SHould I reinstall? No help from customer service yet
really a lot of good options like it a lot
Hey Arturia, what happened to the piano section in Analog Lab V with the latest update? Can't change piano settings anymore. Piano V2 works separately. Why?
hi ..can we use multiout intrument on Analog lab?..thks
Does this software come free if you purchase an Arturia Keylab 88 mkii?
Now I got to get used to the new update. I like some things better but some things I didn' t like changed. Is it me or are there less presets. AL4 has close to 7000 presets and AL5 only has 3000 or so. Oh well I can always use both .
There's no Attack/Delay/Sustain/Release control?
Hello, does anyone know the difference between analog lab 4 and analog lab V
more sounds in analog V and a new interface.
also more effects and some other stuff there are probably videos comparing the two out there
Can I faithfully import the patches I created in AL 4? I'm seeing posts on various sites that there may be 'translation' issues where the sounds may not not come over exact. Can anyone verify?
It's possible change preset via mid clip in ableton live??? i use analog lab v and the keylab essencial 61
How the hell do you record with this thing? Like how do you record what you play into your recording software to make an instrumental?
Hello how can you record using this Analogue lab and how do you make it work with
Alberton live
Thanks Troy
Hey there, we suggest contacting our support team to guide you better. You can fill in a form through this link: www.arturia.com/support/askforhelp
if i buy the arturia lab V for the $200 price do i get the synths it features fully free? do i have access to importing my own presets and edit the patches?
How does the integration work in a DAW that has loaded Analog Lab though? It no longer works, and I can' figure out how to fix it. Using Reason 12
Any one feel the new analog extremely sluggish? Freezes up when diving all menus and switching instruments. I have it on an SSD and a beefy pc. I wish it was as fast as komplete kontrol. Don’t know what black magic NI used but it’s lightning fast and not even on my SSD.
for some reason it differs from person person from what I’ve heard. With me It was the komplete opposite. I literally never used Analog Lab 4 because I would always crash and it was just sooo slow. however Analog Lab 5 for some reason works really great and loads fast and doesn’t crash (as of yet).
V is terribly slow. My PC is fine too, no problem with other software or Analog Lab 4.
@@arturanowak did you end up getting it work. Analog Lab v us crashing my laptop like crazy, and it's a decent PC. Frustrating.
Doesn't it have any drum samples / drum kits?
I can't create in my DAW (Studio one 5 artist) an automation for Master knob. Can you help me?
................HOW can i use the vst with reaper????????????? when i try to create a path, i find the carpet in wich everything is installed... like when i install any other plug in... but nothing happens.
Analog Lab V has a new interface, but how does it work with MiniLab MK2?
Do all the knobs mapped automatically or I have to manually remap them?
All mapped for you!
Does keystep37 works in analog lab V?can tou do tutorials please!
This video is good but the app UX is terrible. Tutorials included in app simply dont explain how to move to studio view etc.. :(
I have a question. Is there any function of slide and glide or portamento of the instrument? I'm trying to use it and I tried to glide on the sound, but I can't find the function. Should I use the instrument as it is?
Hi, you can't tweak every parameter within Analog Lab V. You need to own the full V Collection to have access to every parameter. You'll find a Glide option on most synth but not all of them.
i hope it helps.
All this time, I've been saying "Analog Lab Five" 😳
