- Glenn takes a look at The Warning's Vlog #23, where they discuss the creative process that led to their second album, Queen of the Murder Scene. They go over their songwriting process, as well as both their home and professional recording processes and practices. Chapters One and Two are the focus; the rest of the album is discussed in future vlogs.

Thank you Glenn for doing my request, much appreciation. These girls are so fun to watch and listen to...I kind of equate it to 3 really intelligent brains that mesh together into one really brilliant brain...the Sister interaction is simply priceless. Seems like Dany is always trying to keep the chaos under control, they are delightful young Ladies. Look forward to the next Vlog, even though I have seen these, they just put a smile on my face every time. Cheers, and thanks again Glenn. This VLOG and the next one were done in the months just before the Lunario concert. The third VLOG was done in December, after the concert. The dates on RUclips were when the VLOGs were released to the public. They were initially restricted to their Patreon site. The cover art on the album was done by Rudy's sister, by the way.
They explain more about the storyline throughout the other 2 vlogs. In case you weren't sure, they do these vlogs for their Patreon supporters exclusively first, which is pretty cool.

The Album was complete when this vlog came out. The release of the album was in chapters. This vlog is shortly before Lunario. Only chapter 1 and 2 were released. After everything was released they then played Lunario.
Second album, by 3 kids, amazing.
Fantastic reaction. Love watching these with reactors & getting your thoughts. Music is a language I don’t really speak so it’s great hearing & learning from people that do understand it. We always say if you’re going to watch them anyway, just hit record, who knows what might come from it.
I’ve seen this a couple times, I love the shirts, the warning, the foo fighters and grumpy.
It's interesting to hear how much time bands have nowadays to work on music and recordings, especially if they can remain independent. Long gone are the days when a band would write on the road and book studio time between tours because they were contracted to produce an album a year. And of course they can now have almost complete control over their own media and connect directly with fans. It's a huge advantage if you are prepared to put in that kind of effort. It also gives you an almost instantaneous worldwide reach. No more big in Chicago, unknown in Detroit.
They do compose songs on the road.

Thanks Glenn. I thought it was really good watching this vlog again with you. I think it's pretty similar to watching someone react to music as long as the reactor is really interested in the content. I can confirm that the rest of the QoTMS vlogs are equally suitable. You get to know the band and get to re-experience the songs through the lens of the songwriters. I'm holding out hope that they do another concept album as I think it really suits their compositional and lyrical talents. This period of their early 20s is perhaps even more challenging than their teen years though in terms of people wanting to become truly independent. We'll see!
