Excellent my friends!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As the serie is getting to its end, I cannot stress enough this: all of these amazing songs were written by an incredible talented band of TEENAGERS, and were played LIVE by a 14 yo bass player, a 16 yo drummer (+ singer) and a 18 yo frontwoman. They really were the real deal back then, and they are only getting better ❤
Ive watched these live performances probably a hundred times or more now and its still amazing to think this album was created by teenagers, and to see and hear a 13 year old just slaying bass line after bass line, Ale is such an incredible bass player.
This one gives me major Heavy Metal vibes. Such a good tune live. I'll say it again: This album is an under-the-radar masterpiece in the scheme of Rock-and-Roll history. Written by basically kids. I hope it gets its proper due over time.
You actually have three left - P.S.Y.C.H.O.T.I.C., Hunter, and The End. Dany recorded the screams in the studio in the dark. Pau and Ale were in another studio listening and getting shivers. The number one criticism of Warning songs is that they are too short.
Ale has red LEDs as fret markers on her bass. Dany has them on at least one of her guitars, as well. Ale says that it helps her to be on the right note, when the lights are off. It’s really cool watching her hit those opening bass riffs before the lights come up.
Can't get enough of this band. Queen of the Murder Scene's chorus has always given me a 'KISS' vibe, that's not a bad thing! Seen some of the greats live in their heyday (Black Sabbath with Ozzy, MK2 Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, KISS original line up, Pink Floyd, Judas Priest, Thin Lizzy, Rush, The Who, Queen, ..) and something just 'clicks' with The Warning. Thanks for the reaction, always look forward to them :-)
Great reaction, guys. Impressed how much you are picking up on for your first listen. I’ve listened to this album dozens of times and still hear new things I hadn’t previously noticed. Take care! 🤘🏼
I've really enjoyed your reactions and analyses. I'm not a must-hear-in-order nerd for this album, but there's nothing wrong with doing that either. Their creativity is wonderful. 🤩
Guys, these reactions have been great. The Warning fan base is a pretty interesting an mostly chill/supportive group. That was a good list of bands in the comment. I am an amateur woodwind play who loves gigging Broadway shows, big band, and symphony. Rush, Queen, Steely Dan, Yes, Genesis, Police, Earth Wind & Fire, Blood Sweat & Tears, along with tons of jazz and classical are in my CD/streaming collection. But most of those names are older bands and my playlist had been pretty stale for more than 20 years. Then I found The Warning a couple years ago when RUclips brought up their TedX talk as a suggestion. They struck a chord with me I did not expect. A new school-old school rock sound that clearly is influenced by bands in my collection and many others as well. Their outstanding musicianship was another obvious draw. But it was their personalities, humility, playfulness, and honesty that as cemented my loyalty for sure. Ale is very tasteful in knowing when to back off behind a solo and not just play notes for the sake of playing them. She often is playing about 75% bass parts and 75% rhythm guitar parts behind Dany's solos (which I find to be melodic and playing what the song needs, not playing to show off). This skill level really helps them sound like so much more than just a three piece. Classic Latin/South America football chant at the end. "Ole Ole Ole Ole War-ning War-ning"
Such an awesome song. That scream around minute 14:18 is Danny. They talked about it during one of their blogs. Recording the demo she recorded it in the dark and freaked out Pao and Ale. Again, you guys do such a great technical breakdown. Great reaction
I was lucky to go to the Baltimore show where they played this track, I noticed it did not make the setlist in a lot of their US shows. The way the girls perform the song it sounds even better now.
This the best young band anywhere in the world. Musically very advanced for their ages, and intelligent songwriters. Their passionate performances are riveting. They will be reaching absolute greatness.
Excelente reacción y análisis! Qué bueno es acompañarlos en este viaje. Hacen para nosotros nuevas todas estas acciones escuchadas cien veces. Thank you
The effects span the gamut, largely because the pedals/switches are programmable. Pau has set this up in advance, controlled by her laptop (at least in this performance; the tech for both devices has changed somewhat in the years since) so for each song the appropriate program loads on the appropriate pedal. Tons of thought and practice later, you get... this. It's an awesome tune as "the Centerpiece" of the album, that to be honest took a bit to "grow on me". Mostly because I had to read the lyrics and follow along a few times before I fully understood it. One of the things that is sort of (an I think inadvertent) signature of this group is that you might lose tracks of the lyrics on a first listen... and once you know what they are, you wonder to yourself how the hell you didn't realize that was what they were saying the first time around. It's kind of funny, and I suspect it has to do with them being bilingual. The Mexican dialect of Spanish is slightly more natural to them, simply because that's the environment they were immersed in all their lives, but English is more than "just a second language" - they've been learning it very nearly as long as they learned Spanish, starting at that very young age where kids pick up languages like they do bugs and rocks. At some point, it became natural to them to kind of mash certain aspects of enunciation of the languages together, which can make them sound vaguely "weird" to native English speakers... until you realize *what* it is they are singing. Then it just "clicks" into place, almost instantly. And then you *really* start to be "mind-boggled" at their lyrical prowess. 😋
it’s always funny when they’re in a Spanish-speaking interview and one of the girls can’t remember the words that they want to use, so she uses the English words, and one of the other girls translates that into Spanish for her. It often works in reverse, as well, but it is really funny to watch it happen when they are speaking their native language, Spanish.
16:15 You will find that you will want the songs to be LONGER!!! They are so good you'll wish the album and songs last foever. Which is why I listened to this album live, Foro Didi, on loop for probably over 6 months! Stopped listening to it so I wouldn't burn it out. A week later I would pop it in again for a few weeks. Very addictive.
So glad you mentioned WASP Crimson Idol. That album is one of my favorite albums. Everyone should give it a listen it's not your typical WASP album. So this and Crimson Idol are in my top concept albums.
At some point you guys should watch on your own at least one of the vlogs they made going over the songs on the album (#23, 25, 26). There can be no question that watching these ladies as teenagers have so much fun talking about what they do in such an open, and ego-free way is a big factor in why the fan base is so loyal. They make you feel like part of the family and you'll have to watch more than once because they get excited and all three will be talking at the same time. Just like normal kids, no rockstar attitude.
Yet, there is no doubt that they are true rock stars. I think it might have started to dawn on them, when they played at Rock Im Ring, in Germany, a few weeks ago. They were assigned an auditorium stage - not the main stage and it was a 2:30pm show. Dany, Pau and Ale were talking about how they thought that few people would cone to the show, because they were a “new” band and there was no passing foot traffic that might just happen to stop in, to see what was going on. As they were getting ready to go out on stage, literally thousands of fans started shouting, “Warning! Warning! Warning!”. Oh- they showed up, all right. Thousands of fans. That’s how you know a band has gone from being “good” to being “stars”. When fans who have never seen you perform greet you with enthusiasm, by the thousands, on your first tour, halfway around the world, you might be the real deal. 😎
awesome reaction as usual, love the breakdowns and work you put into each song, pausing at the right moment to catch a great shot of Ale and Pau, Thanks for sharing
Warning, Warning, Warning, olé, olé, olé, olé, olé. Olé like at a bullfight. You'll also hear cries of "otra" at the end of a The Warning show, which means the same as "encore". It's not just the Spanish-speaking crowds that do this.
Two left? Three! P.S.Y.C.H.O.T.I.C, Hunter and The end(stars always seem to fade) I think you guys should also review the non-QOTMS songs from this gig as well. They're awesome
Like all The Warning songs, it ends way too soon. Honestly, if the song was an hour long, it would be too short. Trivia: Both Pau and Dany say that Ale is the best musician in the band. “She is a machine” is something they often say. Her playing is always flawless and she is a genius when it comes to making the song as interesting as possible.

The beginning of The Queen getting a little too big for her britches. She's getting an outsized ego and it won't end well. I love this song and P.S.Y.C.O.T.I.C. being back to back on the album, first they hit you with a metal influenced song then take you to cheerleader punk! And you guys have 3 fantastic songs left, not two! (Hunter is my favorite, it's a vibe.) Thanks for another fantastic video! You two are great!
@@petahpunkGenre definitions aren’t precise, but I would personally classify this song as heavy metal, but The Warning in general as hard rock, which is how they describe themselves. I like your analysis and breakdown for all the songs on QOTMS, great. All the background screams on the album are Dany, she said that she did them all in a pitch black room.
Such an awesome song. That scream around minute 14:18 is Danny. They talked about it during one of their blogs. Recording the demo she recorded it in the dark and freaked out Pao and Ale. Again, you guys do such a great technical breakdown. Great reaction
