Hey guys, I am a The Warning Patreon member and I left a message on their page to direct people to your channel to watch your reactions. I don't know if it will help, but who knows...
Hey Chris and Sam! Personally, I LOVE this song. It is an often overlooked gem that is also goes very well into the story development of the album. I am glad you pointed out not just their songwriting, but also their arrangements. I always say Ale is their secret weapon because she often fills in what would be a rhythm guitar type part to support Dany's lead riffs. You don't quite realize how good they really are until you see them live. Not only how good they are as musicians, but how intricately they play together to fill the sound space and have so many things going on harmoniously. I truly believe they are a generational talent. Future Legends!
I agree, Tom. And Ale really is a genius with her bass parts. She is such a huge part of their dynamic, but blends so seamlessly that you don’t have your attention drawn directly onto her parts. Then, you suddenly realize that what has been captivating you has been her parts.
The sacrifice, one of my favorites. Yes, they are really good songwriters, I hope their new label doesn't limit their creativity, in a recent interview they mentioned that they have had difficulties connecting their ideas with those of their label, something like that seemed to me to understand, well, that they continue to be them themselves in everything they do. Greetings guys.
Tanks Chris and Sam for your reaction. You guys are right, it's not linear and also melodic, but it still stays within the general character of the work, which is a requirement and a constraint to cover in a concept album that tells a story like QOTMS is.
They are so very good at story telling in their songs. They use breaks and half/full time changes as effectively as anyone I have ever heard. As a musician, it is one of the things that grabs me about them. The know how to let a song breathe. Their hooks are also fantastic. They get a lot of emotion and musicality across in a 3+ minute song for sure. Kind of reminds me of the old Twain quote " I didn't have time to write a short letter, so I wrote a long one instead". It is far harder to tell your story/idea in a concise way that a long rambling 8 minute offering. I think this goes to what you had said about them being good writers.
As mentioned before, The Sacrifice and The One were created with song ideas that were spawned from trying to complete Ugh! That likely explains the arrangement of all three songs as they are individual parts or ideas weaved expertly together to tell a comprehensive story both individually per song and collectively in the concept.
I would be really curious to see you reacting to their VLOGs where they talking about how they composed the songs for QotMS, VLOGs #23, 25 & 26 on their RUclips channel I think. They also have VLOG #7 where they talk about their experience recording the album at Sphere Studios and that one is a doozy.
One point they make in one of the 3 songwriting vlogs is they deliberately set out to use all of the new songwriting techniques they were learning about. They noted that the XXI Century Blood album is basically the same 4 chords (transposed to various keys) in every song, and they wanted to get away from that for QOTMS.
I am still here 🙂 (and watching some other reactions of you guys as well). I suspect that also some of the more "well liked" songs get a bit more traction in general. Still a few bangers ahead 🤘
I'm still here and watching each reaction. I really think. QOTMS is one of the strongest concept albums ever, with every song adding to the story, yet compelling enough to stand on it's own.
There is a backing track with some ambient guitar, lead guitar and some piano. Dany’s ability to go back and forth from rhythm to lead while singing is so impressive. That the guitar tone is so beautifully consistent it makes you question if or what she’s playing is great testimony to how practiced and prepared they are. Another great reaction and analysis guys!
The entire QOTMS album is a masterpiece written by teenage girls!! They are overwhelmingly talented! At the time they did this concert they were 18, 16 and 13. Amazing! Viva The Warning!! ⚡⚡⚡
Never doubt of the girls again. If there is lead sound, Dany is playing it for sure Lol! You know, the girls are so proficient in their instruments and super into details when they are creating their own music. There's hope one day see Ale (bass player) playing the harp on the stage XD Love your reactions guys! Cheers from Mexico! EDITED: Btw guys, just heard your own band, your last single...My God, the guitar player who starts the reaction videos with a 'woohoo', has the demon inside. What a cool singing voice and what a way to make sound a stock telecaster! You guys Rock! Yeeh!
Backing tracks? Uh, Nope. Dany has been playing for 16 years of her 23 years in existence. She can walk, talk, and chew gum at the same time. She is engrossed in her character here, and intensifies the drama of the song by doing so. I love it! Next up is Sinister Smiles. More of all 3 singing, and more of Dany Gilmore's guitar playing. They did Sinister Smiles in an acoustic set that simply kicks ass, and should be seen by all at some point. Their harmonizing is said to be the 4th member, and additional instrument for the band, as it adds another complex layer. SS really shows this. ⚡
Thanks guys, another great one. This song I’ve had to hear a few times before it really clicked with me. But after paying closer attention it really has a lot going on, as you lads have pointed out. There’ll be more of these dual voices going on. On the upcoming Sinister Smiles Pau takes the good (good being slightly relative) and Dany sings the part of the mad queen. Not trying to get ahead of the story, but it helps to understand that’s what is going on. You may be coming to the final chapter here but there will be plenty of material they’ve done still out there, all brilliant, so you won’t run out of TW Songs to look at.😊😊😊. Checking out that new stuff of yours too, like it quite a bit!
Love your reactions guys! looking forward to the rest of this series. And hope you check out some of their earlier work too. It's pretty amazing and not to be ignored. And of course, there are a few newer ones you haven't covered. so basically their entire catalogue!!
Ale has actually been sponsored by Spector Bass since she was 13 and is now one of their featured artists with her own signature style called Ale's Inferno. You might enjoy this video for fun but not necessarily a reaction. The reason they say talk about New Jersey is because that is where they were recording their latest album Error in 2020. ruclips.net/video/lq6q5riGdbE/видео.html
I think the comments dropped off cause the warning army loves to educate about the band but you guys are pretty much up to speed now so there's just less to explain. I'm watching till the end of the album for sure ! This album is my favorite of all time.
I look forward to these QOTMS reactions from you guys. Always entertaining and I like how you apply your own experience to what you're listening to/watching. Will definitely checkout out one of your live shows if in the area when you're playing. I love this album so thanks for doing these and I look forward to the last half of the story.
I do love this song paired with the next one. They come at a good point in the album as it feels to me like we're approaching the peak of the first roller coaster drop... and then we drop with Sinister Smiles. :)
Great reaction guys, I love how into this concept album you guys are. I'm subscribed to your channel, and I have notifications turned on, but I'm not getting any notifications when you post videos. Maybe other people are having the same issue and that's why it seems like things are slowing down. Usually, The Warning Army shows up and watches these reactions from QOTMS faithfully. The inRopinion reactors did the whole album in a live stream not long ago and had over 400 people on live chat to watch it, and it was over 3 hours long. So I don't know why things would slow down. The only other thing I can think of is maybe everyone is watching all the videos from their European tour. You guys do a great job with your reactions so I think everyone will be here soon.
This show was really tough on Ale they played for 2 hours at a very high altitude where breathing was difficult for all three of them, but Ale at thirteen was absolutely exhausted after the show, yet she performed like a pro and kept going. I love how the song presents the evil side of the Queen starting to gently persuade the good side into giving up control, at first. As the song progresses the evil side becomes more demanding and threatening, she wants the good side to sacrifice her control and let the darkness take over. It is brilliantly written and performed, they never cease to amaze me.
I really like your reactions to my favorite The Warning album. Your analysis of this song was spot on. I like your format of looking at the story/lyrics first, then diving into the music and composition of the song. Solid reaction. Bravo!
I'm truly enjoying the series of reactions you guys are doing. It is interesting to hear professional musicians give their perspectives and point out technical things I may not be familiar with. I've also checked out some of your music and found that to be cool as well. The performance is about to cut loose with in-your-face rock with punk elements from here on out. My favorite songs are coming.
The songs that have come before the lastest ones are virtually hidden to people that have come to them from Error on. I suspect that the earlier darker songs will be "rediscovered" for just how bloody good they really are. Including 23 and Revenant, which are stunning pieces of music.
They have an album before QOTMS, which is, one of the best first albums I've ever heard. Not a bad song on it. Heck, they've yet to put out a bad song, period.
Hey guy's... you're getting closer to the "END" Keep up the good work..When you want to hear something completely different, try the official lyrics video of "REVENANT" I haven't found a really good live version yet. There are some out there but you get a better feel for the song from the lyrics video..Pau sings the whole song. I'm convinced Pau is a musical genius..they all are in different ways..." REVENANT "I really want to hear what you think about it. I think it's brilliant...TWA🤟🎶☮️
I don't think that lead is backtracked (every time). That's Dany's superpower; being able to play that leady type stuff while singing. It is every bit as difficult as playing the drums and singing. She's a beast!
I'm not leaving until the end...I always thumbs up but don't always comment!...I also stay to end just in case you leave a test. Sorry I fail sometimes
As other's have stated, generational talent. It's almost unfair, they started playing together at such a young age and are so tight which translates to their live performances
With regards to The Sacrifice. My first hundred or so listens to this album I loved every song, however, for some reason this song was one of the weakest. But after a while I started feeling that it was better than that. After a while I felt that it's the best song on the album. It's hard to choose the best song, but The Sacrifice has become one of the best songs. I guess I feel that the entire album is one great song.
This song works perfecttly for Soundtrack of an epic military battle, the first part of the song is the Planing in the Waroom, the second is the General´s speech and begin´s the military March.. the last part is the Final Cavalry charge and the shock with enemy lines...
You keep bringing The Warning, we’ll keep bringing the Army!
Im currently hooked on this song. Very well written.
Ale is an official Spector artist in case you didn't know.
Still here as well!!!
One of the most underrated The Warning songs
The Sacrifice has one of my favorite choruses EVER.
Great reaction! Search for Ale singing lead vocals and watch her play bass runs while singing. Very impressive.

No accolades you can give this band are an exaggeration, they are absolutely phenomenal, especially live! 100% agree, generational talent.
I think The Sacrifice has some of Pau's best drumming on QOTMS
@@leonardpaul4920 Not gonna argue that 🙂
What Tom says!
The Vlogs of this album are incredible and interesting
We're still here
FYI, this song and "The One" came out of efforts to finish the song "Ugh" !😁 👍
The sacrifice, one of my favorites. Thé sacrifice is the turning point.
From this one on, the story turns more psycho and the tunes turn more intense
Tanks Chris and Sam for your reaction. You guys are right, it's not linear and also melodic, but it still stays within the general character of the work, which is a requirement and a constraint to cover in a concept album that tells a story like QOTMS is.
You guys are having too much fun!
Love to hear Ale belting in her background vocal
They released a full concert video, so that competed with the individual song videos for views, eventually.
I’m still here as well😊😊😊
I absolutely love this song.
One of my favorites on QOTMS

D2D, Stalker RHNF and then every song after Sacrifice are my favorites
Love your reactions, very respectful and appreciative, even more valuable for me, cause you also are in the music-business.
Great! Disfrutando sus reacciones y análisis, son geniales. Gracias

Uno de los grandes temas de la obra maestra del album QOTMS , The Sacrifice ,que buen rock de TW WOW
I'm still here and watching each reaction. I really think. QOTMS is one of the strongest concept albums ever, with every song adding to the story, yet compelling enough to stand on it's own.
I agree this song is too often overlooked and underrated. It has the transitions, the classic TW release and attack and key changes. 🔥🤘#NumberlyGarfs

Very fun guys! Thanks so much! Really enjoying this series from you two!
Nice reaction guys. Really enjoy your knowledgable commentary!
Thanks again for another insightful reaction! 🤟❤️⚡⚡⚡
This is such a powerful song, both in the story it tells and in its execution. Amazing songwriting and musicianship!
Playing music and writing is a GIFT and the have it in Spades
Loving your musician's take on these reviews, guys. BTW CDMX stands for Ciudad de México, in other words Mexico City :)

This song has grown on me over time, I've always liked it, but I fell in love with it even more after your analysis of the song. great reaction guys!

Nice reaction/ I would like to know your thoughts on how the concept of the album is flowing.
This has always been one of my favorites from them. This song pushes all the right buttons for me.
gran reacción, me gusta sus análisis de todo lo que tiene la música de las diosas del rock
🤘🤘⚡⚡
This is an amazing straight up banger. Thanks again for reacting to this entire album!
I keep hearing voices in my head…. Dany, Pau and Ale…. LOL! Maybe I’m a schizophrenic. 😂
They have an album before QOTMS, which is, one of the best first albums I've ever heard. Not a bad song on it. Heck, they've yet to put out a bad song, period.
🤘🏻
You guys as musicians get it, what Dany does on guitar while singing is very hard at times, same level as Pau's drumming and vocals.
I
That stop in the middle is to wake up the people in the back for last call....lol

Schizophrenia has symptoms of hearing voices, however, when one talks about dual peraonalities, it would be considered DID.
