I could listen to Ray talk about Mustangs and Coyotes and Ponies all day. I will never understand most of it but that’s why you take her in and drop her off with Ray and leave it to this expert Tuner!
great informative video, Ive had my s650 mustang for a little bit now , hopefully tuning becomes available for them soon because this would be cool to have!
Yes Ray, it's a very interesting video that car sounds great now and the ghost cam tune sounds awesome and you can also here the headers even with the "quiet" exaust it sounds awesome.
My stsv use to do the chop chop on cold starts and folks swear it was a ctsv and I laughed because it was chopping with the oem tune and think the oil on the vvt sensors are what made them act up which was cool. I might get thw real deal ghost tune done to my xlrv
I have a 2014 Mustang GT (Stock except for deleted muffler) Is cam tuning safe for a daily driver and will it pass smog etc? I would love to hear that chop.
@@drpmotorsports2186I have 2013 gt mustang and I have awe track axle back exhaust and I’m stock everything but that so I can drive it everyday on the ghost cam and nothing bad happen ? Also if I want get a cat delete what would you recommend and does it need tuning ?

@jaimevega7526 The ghost cam will not hurt anything with things as you mention. We would have to get your tuned with one of our RTD3 tuning packages instead of the Bama tuner.
@A42yearoldARAB We just modify the Roush tune, so the basics of it stay in place. Course we can make the car perform better with our custom tuning because the Roush tune is ultra conservative and leaves power on the table.
How much do you charge to do the tune? I have a 2015 that has an SCT Tuner.. My assumption is the tuner was used just to adapt the Steeda Cold air intake.
Any problems with the cat safe ghost cam tune? Anyone?? All I have is a h pipe to muffler delete with stock cats still on was wondering if it would sound alright lol.
I’m in Boston MA. Going for headers and handheld tunner next week. Is this ghost cam tune possible on a handheld and able to turn off and on or is it a permanent tune that can’t be turned off? Also, 2-step… is that safe? Thanks for the video!!
We tune remotely with both the RTD3 and SCT X4 device. We do the ghost cam options with both and you can turn them on and off. 2 steps can be rough on things if you use them too often.
@@drpmotorsports2186 thank you! Also, is the ghost cam tune safe with catted long tube headers or will it just burn out the catalytic converter over time?
Awesome, I appreciate the videos and the straightforward talk. Does the larger plenum of the CJ affect how it sounds as opposed to the stock 18 manifold
@@drpmotorsports2186 👍🏻. Obviously I'm hoping things work out with my current tuner and parts combo. If not, I will definitely be calling you up next to bat.
Any concerns about cylinder wash from excess fuel at idle? I run an e85 tune on my ‘15 but every now and then like to load up a 93 cam tune just to hear the chop and feel the rowdy idle. I never do long term because I never could find input from a tuner if cylinder wash is a concern if you run a ghost cam tune as a daily. Great vid!

Good explanation Ray!
Lund does not offer a ghost cam with the cobra jet setup. It would be cool to have some chop pulling to a car meet. Might be looking into this.

Nice explanation really gave me an good outlook on what it was 🎉💯
Does manipulating the cam do extra wear? It can be used on stock 17 GT??
No it doesn't increase wear because the factory tuning moves the cams all the time. Yes it can be used on a stock 17 GT
Great video! Excellent explanation! God Bless

Yes. The video of the car on the gravel road on this page has a Roush Supercharger...

The ghost cam just effects idle, so itself doesn't add power. But we add it to our performance tunes so you do get added power.

No effect on economy and all of our tuning adds power...including any tune with the ghost cam added.

No concerns because we not dumping extra fuel to make it chop. Lambda still stays on target keeping air fuel ratio good.

Depends on fuel and weather conditions. Can't give an exact magic number.
Make sure you got some ventilation in there! 😆
