I first heard of Wolf Alice from drunk/distraught girl. She pleaded with me for a ride after allegedly working the Outside Lands festival in Golden Gate Park, S.F. I reluctantly complied and she regaled me with raves about this hot young British band.Thank you, drunk/distraught girl. And I hope that you are ok.
Man they’ve matured and gained so much confidence as artists and it really shows in this performance. And look at all the smiles on their faces during the intro. It’s their favourite song to play dontcha know
This is one of my favorite performances by Wolf Alice. Man, they are tight! Joel is a kickass drummer. Theo keeps the heavy tempo on bass. Joff demonstrates his extra-terrestrial abilities with the guitar. The keyboards fill it all in and Ellie just shines like the queen she is. God I love her. These people were born to play together.
@@fourganger88 Bass player's primary purpose is to drive. It's their job. Without that it all falls apart. He's just giving credit where credit is due. Kudos to Theo for doing the job and doing it well. Without Theo, Joel could be speeding up or slowing sown at odd times, drummers do that, but nope, they're tight. Phenomenal band.
I always thought of wanting to do the dance myself if I ever see them live and hopefully have a couple people join me 😄 Imagine how cool it would be if you'd manage to organize a flashmob at one of their own shows and have the entire crowd do the dance? 😮 I'd love to see their reaction to that as it'd be such a throwback 💙
For the love of Phuck, Jof is only getting better and BETTER. His solo work is amazing and the little technique nuances here that he’s changed up a bit are phenomenal.
Great band! They bring what's missing in so much songwriting today--memorable hooks, riffs, interesting melodies, chord changes, dynamics. Plus great performing and enthusiasm. Let's hear it for the fine work by engineers and technicians at the BBC, thank you! And we get captions, which is a big help.
first song heard from them on current radio minneapolis who is this band was great tune then bought the music they have-went to them one time at first avenue and was good

@Callan Little I can’t find a link anywhere!! I also wanted to see it! They even performed a new song from Blue Weekend :( but if I find a link I’ll upload it right away 🙂
Simply the best rock band in the world right now.

@@surferbri5346 what an original take
I really, really, really wish they had more songs that went just as hard as this
Nah they were always this good
Joel's drumming is unreal
As a whole, they sound pretty tight. Great bass and guitar riffs and a helluva singer.

I know you didn't mean it this way, but saying the bassist keeps the tempo really sounds like you are damning him with faint praise.

RUclips's algorithm told me that I might like Wolf Alice. RUclips's algorithm was right. I love these guy's musical range.
I think that's got to be their best performance to date !!! Holy shit ! They're tighter than they've ever been
Oof. Yes! Just saw them in Los Angeles this past week. Jesus. The performance was god tier, pure raw talent.
Joel is always KILLING it!!! They sound like Sonic Youth here !! Way to go!
The build and breakdown is still goosebumps 6 years later. Best song.
I crank my headphones every single time
Holy fuck!!! They do magic, this was like hearing the song for the first time! Another level of excelence!!!!
still the best song
Wolf Alice are reviving rock music... Hallelujah!!!
This band is just great. I've only recently come across them but now I can't stop listening to them.
Those vocals, Ellie! top notch
If I could only listen to one song the rest of my life Giant Peach would be it. Great band!
I think this might be my favourite performance of this great song…
It really is awesome, so good!
I'm such a sucker for non album dynamics. That pause made it so much tighter ❤️
such a great song. Love every iteration of it on youtube!
This gave me full body chills holy cow
One of the most badass intros I've ever heard!!! I LOVE this song!
The range is just otherworldly.
Dear aspiring musicians / bands take note. . . THIS is how it is done!

This live version is utterly banging! Big up the Wolf! 🐺
When I saw them play in Toronto a few years ago, they played Giant Peach last... and it was awesome! 🙂
I love their sound!!!!!
Absolutely love this song. The dynamics and musical texture is unbelievable. 10/10
Musical and lyrical genius
This Version fucking perfection electrifying🤘
Too many times Ellie's vocals are buried in the mix. Not this time. Awesome job BBC sound engineers!
first song heard from them on current radio minneapolis who is this band was great tune then bought the music they have-went to them one time at first avenue and was good
GIVE THE BEST OF YOURSELF. THE GROUP IS JUST HUGE
Mind blowing performance

AMAZING!!!!
Ellie Rowsell es una divaa
2:36 WATCH THE DRUMMER CLOSELY FOR NEXT MAYBE 15 SECONDS FOR SURE
They sound like Black Sabbath!
Man they’re really cooking the mustard here
That opening is so badass, and, is it just me, or does this sound like a Black Sabbath homage?
That final riff has massive Sabbath vibes in all the best ways
Fuuuuuucccckkkk, this gave me goosebumps
wow
Bestial
Que pasada...
2:30 love ellie
Love The rubia 💕
didn't know this band can go for it like that
Joff would make a great James Bond
❤❤❤
My favorite is still the kexp version. Not taking anything away from this performance though they are tight as hell and the sound is big
Also: Best Kept Secret version: Netherlands 2015. The whole set was intense. What a band!
Sonic youth old good days🤩
Like the two mic’s she uses ,
they did it better somehow
Intro reminds me of Sonic Youth
f...ckin legends!
Great except lie needs the second mic- miss the reverb and does the keys add that much? Just miss old wolfe alice a bit. Love the ending
The outro on this performance is off the hook
💙🖤❤️🔥
Fuck that was tight.
Wwwwhhhhhhaaaaaahhhhhhhhhaaaaaa
is that a mahogany Jaguar?
oh my.
He had that one custom made over the Covid break.
@@joeterzio7175 built it himself. There's a rig rundown where he talks about it in depth.
@@ambroseaz I saw that. I wasn't sure if he just built the mahogany body or did the whole thing. Thanks!
Great so great live. Do we need another member? The four is wolf alice
Add a dimension or so, why not? Musically they just keep growing
Actually, Joff's guitar is not loud enuf at the beginning.
It's literally exactly where it needs to be in the mix...
