If they are not highly skilled they would ruin it in their attempts. It’s likely hard and expensive to find such a skilled repair person. They maybe finally gave up and/or ran out of space to store an unusable item.
You are a miracle worker. You’ve given life back to this abandoned furniture. I love it. When I first migrated to USA in 1990, I bought a set of drawers. Real wood. For $10.00 at a garage sale. I restored it just like this. I still treasure it. ❤❤❤

When this video concluded I realized this work as a metaphor for human lives. Broken and discarded. As a therapist I see this in people who have been abused. Restoration is a beautiful thing.
