@@PC_Monkey how to do this for an asus laptop
@@mahin2061 What percentage is your Asus laptop stopping at?
Hi. I wish I could just not care about it but here is the problem: my Dell laptop charges up to 76% and then when it stops charging the screen brightness goes down a bit, but then when the battery comes down to 75% it starts to charge again and the brightness goes up. This brightness up and down cycle repeats several times in within a minute and you can figure how disturbing it is for the eyes.
Since I couldn't get rid of the brightness infernal adjustment I'm gonna give a try at setting the charging threshold at 100%.
Thanks for the video,, let's see if it works.

Hello, I tried using custom charge (min 50% max 80%). It just stays/stuck at 79%, is this normal or should it drain back to 50% then charge it again to 80%?
Hey man thanks for this. I was really worried that my battery's stuck at 95% even though it's plugged in. I use my laptop everyday for work. How do you suggest I do to keep my battery healthy?
Best thing to do is not to use sleep mode too much, and make sure the charger is not always plugged in. Let the battery drain from time to time. Also, use a surge protector instead of plugging the computer directly into the wall :)

@@PC_Monkey Jamin thank you but that's not it. I'm sorry I wasn't more clear. My computer boots. It boots into windows just fine. It's whenever I try to boot to USB. I've tried to boot to thumb drives, external HDD's external DVD and all of these devices are fine, use-able and readable AFTER I boot into windows. Also when I've tried to boot to USB the screen is not dim, it has regular brightness its just that there's nothing there except these dots that appear to me to be forming the outline(s) of some dialog box or decision tree something or other. The dots are multi-colored a few millimeters apart. I have tried guessing what it's looking for and hitting F1 thru F12 and key combinations... Whatever I hit the dots disappear for about 10 seconds then come back. Thank you so much, in advance for your time.

How about an HP computer, I don't see the power management option???
Not all computer will have this option. What percentage is your battery stopping at?
Hi! I have an asus but wondering if you can answer my quick question:
I’ve had my laptop for about 4 years and it’s always charged to 100% but all a sudden it stops at around 80 (it can go up a little slowly if I leave it in a REALLY long time), is it possible that the laptop automatically changed the bios settings or some other internal thing to help the aging battery or is it more likely the battery is just old (it can still go around 3 hours on battery)?
Thank you for your time :)
Most likely its not the issue discussed here. The battery could just be getting old unfortunately
Ok thanks for the reply, I really appreciate it!
Hi! Just wanna know if it's okay to remove the battery and use it while it's plugged in. Will it damage the laptop if I do that?

Hi im using a gigabyte aero 15xb and my laptop would only charge for like a second and stops.. how do I troubleshoot this?
If your computer works well other than not charging your battery, refer to this video first; ruclips.net/video/arZpfqcVoUs/видео.html. Let me know how that goes :)
There’s no power management on my screen when I press f2. It’s other things showing that’s really different from yours
What percentage is your battery stopping at?
This video doesn't quite match my issue, but it's close. I keep getting an error message from Dell Power Manager that says "System cannot communicate with your battery." I seem to be only able to use my Dell 5570 when it's plugged in. Even though it looks like my battery has a full charge, if I unplug from power cord, the laptop either just shuts right down or works for a bit then shuts down. I'm hoping to get some help with this issue. Thank you!
Are you able to try any of the steps seen here? If they dont help, can you run this scan? ruclips.net/video/IsqINCxx_Ik/видео.html
@@PC_Monkey I did the diagnostic test and all is well. When I followed the above video my settings were same as video. Dell Power Manager says the battery is healthy.
@@annmcdonagh3564 If the steps here dont help, I would next try replacing the battery
