Filmora seems to have a better interface - like, if I want to cut, I don't need to change tool, the 'scissor' icon is right there. Same with transitions; I don't need to go from the edit panel to the cut panel (maybe there is a quick way, but I'm yet to find it). For some reason as well, 4k footage is a bit jerky when not using a proxy in Davinci Resolve, but in Filmora it's as smooth as silk. (14900k processor / 4070 GPU / 64gb RAM) The annoying thing about Filmora is that it's counterintuitive to hide all the paid assets - but overall I think Davinci Resolve is a bit overrated.
Resolve is more for high end videos, so it does not come close to Filmora when it comes to an easy-to-use interface. I never had any issues with proxy files. The end footage is fine.
I like the fact that on Filmora 13, I can move anything from the Frame of the video, unlike other Editing softwares, in general Filmora 13 is the best!
Your the best! In this era of Ai, You still gave me what it couldn't provide me with. Thank you for this simplified explanation and the clarity you gave me. 🥰Gracias❤
In my opinion, Filmora is the best about the green-screen effect, The transitions effect is way easier, More than that DaVinci's quite laggy, and editing in Filmore is way smoother than Davinci, Nice video mate.
davinci is simply a professional program and an industry standard for color grading and editing, it can also be rigged with professional color consoles and editing consoles (that cost thousands of dollars unfortunately) all supported by blackmagic. it even has a built in effect engine (fusion) but i still don't use it bc i'm into adobe aftereffect for 4 years now, (but i know is pretty good) filmora is only a user program made for youtube basic and social, easy to use, but not even considered for a professionist.
Filmora is not a Professional video NLE , it has features of a Professional NLE thats all , it lacks certain key requirements that are required for been used in the Broadcast industry, what it does do as a consumer NLE is good. The last time Flimora tried to make a "PRO" version it failed and they stop any further development of the product. It is a very good product which does make the the beginner and advanced person able to put out good video .
My PC configuration is 1) CPU- Intel Core i7-8700K @3.70 2) GPU- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050Ti (Dedicated Memory 4GB, Shared memory 8GB) 3) Memory- 16GB I have been using Filmora for many years, but now switched to DaVinci Resolve Studio 18.4 and found that Filmora is far better for performance, the work which get rendered and finished in Filmora within 2-3 minutes takes around 1.5hours in DaVinci Resolve. Please note I have tried all setting which experts explained on RUclips for DaVinci Resolve performance. I am thinking moving back to Filmora, is there any way to use Quick editing mode in DaVinci Resolve for better performance.
You just saved me a headache I have about the same spec computer as you and was thinking resolve was a good choice. Fck that 😂 I'll try filmora instead. I've seen all those videos on how to change the performance of your computers cores to work I'm different areas but you have to remember this will have an effect on other programs you have running as well. Unless that's the sole purpose of that computer seems like a mess. I agree with Adobe premiere and Resolve being the best but I'm starting off and I would suggest until you become pro stick with something less taxing on your pc
What you have should be enough for Resolve to render even 4K videos. There is something else stopping it. Can you check your Task Manager (Performance) and monitor the Memory, GPU, CPU, etc. This may give you an idea why Resolve is taking so much time.
@@mks-mobile It utilize GPU complete and CPU as well and crash, i tried all settings nothing helped, looks like resolve is missing better memory management and hence performanance, anyway i switched back to filmora where i can edit same video and reneder in 2minutes
I hope Filmora serves you well (again). I'm using Prmiere Pro these day, and I render 4K videos without any issues. I think it's time for me to go back and test Resolve.
Its easy, filmora for light instagram-likr editing, DaVinci for professional and semi professional work. I like both of them tho i feel like latest filmora 11 is just packed with useless stuff
Good video but you forgot to mention how the lag of process to actually complete workflow in filmora is unbearable long I have a video being separated which is 1.7 gs from video to just audio version mp3 it’s on 59% and my laptop has been on for 6 days I’m so long into it I’m gonna wait for it but once done I’m uninstalling same day. Going with resolve I could have learned the software by the time to actually get the end product
Because with Filmora, you can be up and running, actually FINISHING videos for RUclips and such in very little time with very little hassles and headaches. Nothing is ever "free". Davinci is more powerful, but if you don't need that power, then the price you pay is having to work harder to get the same results as the much easier Filmora.
I agree why pay for lighter filmora that has less features than the free davinci? I just don't understsand that, I am graphics design freelance and occationally use davinci for my workflow especially youtube contents from client and have never use filmora
I just want software that i can have access to everything i need without having to subscribe and pay for millions of add ons, so i can enjoy the editing process again
i been using filmora for a year but now its too easy for me so im gonna switch to davinci resolve (i also have adobe but its just sitting there taking up space on my pc cuz i dont understand how to use it lmao)
Sell filmora is cheper only for shorter project, if you use it ocer a long time ever resolve studio can turn out cheaoer ( it depends if you need the stock footage filmora includes or not. The resolve studio lisence has nomtime limit on it and you are also intuteled to all future upgrades ( until that policy changes but that dies not seam lightly to be soon and the developers ar on the recor as saying they have no plans if changing it) . Hmm I said if younplan tomdo video editing over a long time resolve studio is cheaper, it is actually only a little over 4 mouths, ok fair enough as stated no stock fotage ot cloud storrage with resolve but as you vasiccaly have resolve studio for free ( compared to filmora) from month 5 an forward you can allways suplemrnt with stock fotage library subscriptions and/or cload storrage for the few times you may need it and still be ahead economically.. you are right resolve does really love it's hw esp gpu, but if editing is a bit slugish you can allways yous ptoxies ( at the cost of extra storage ofc sadly few things are completely free)
No wat comparison 😂 Davinci is a professional software which is being used by Hollywood movies a lot. Where as Filmora is just a basic video editing software like kinemaster 🤍
When I started to use Davinci Resolve, my life in editing has never been the same again. Ever. I love Davinci Resolve.
I tried both , as a beginner and old guy , Filmora was easier to use .
I started with Filmora a year or two ago and would like to change now to Da Vinci to go deeper into coloring and more professionally.
Sooner or later, time to upgrade :)
2:15 The biggest reason why I went with Filmora over DaVinci
Yes, Filmora definitely is ligher.

Hey mate ! Can i use filmora for freelancing video editing.
Your the best! In this era of Ai, You still gave me what it couldn't provide me with.

You're very welcome!
Good stuff mate.. I've happily been using Filmora but I will switch to DaVinci for that next step..

@@frencimanto sounds great, you didn't address the lag issues at all.
I have DaVinci but it crashes all the time and Blackmagic tech support is so slow.......
That means ur pc/gpu is not good enough

This.
Great video, very well explained and well edited. You are also talented with your english (as well as your Spanish). Adios!
Thanks 😉
All good
Seriously, thank you for this!
Seriously, it's not a problem :)

I think it depends on the video format and your compuer's specs.
I se Filmora & most of my titles are 4-23 Gb & it works fine
Thanks for your beneficial comparison.
Glad it was helpful!
which software do you use to edit videos and compose graphic texts like this?
Personally, I use Premiere Pro
Thank you for this video! :)
Valeu!! Tirou minha dúvida.
I love Davinci but it doesn’t work with my Windows 11. So I use Filmora
why even bother when davinci has a free version, and the fact that davinci (despite its learning curve) has a lot more to offer than filmora...🤷🤷
What exactly? Just color correction and that's it. For editing videos on RUclips, filmora is also suitable, but for those who make films, davinci

No worries!
What if I want to just to make simple edits showings pic's and videos
if you havent decided yet, take davinci, cause its free and its great
nice video bro
the only reason i still use filmora is because of potato pc.
Thanks
No problem

The comparison is so that you can figure out which one you actually need.
