  • In this video, we show you three masking tricks: how to make the building grow up, how to color grade like the iconic Schindler's List, and how to create a 3D effect with masking. Each trick shows a different way to think about masks, and all of them will help your video be more magical! Don't worry! These tricks are simple in Filmora, especially with the AI Smart mask, which makes them a breeze.

    I really liked the metaphors, like "slicing the cake." Keep using this kind of lingo when giving instructions. It makes the tasks easier to understand and complete. Your efforts are appreciated!

      @@FilmoraWondershare Thank you! In the video I am working on, the person moves around and isn't staying still so as they move the color seem to only stay in their original position. How do I keep their entire body in color the entire time? Hopefully this makes sense.

      @@FilmoraWondershare In the color grading with having the person in color and background in black and white. In my video the person moves around and as they move their arm or head goes into the black and white area. How do I keep them in color at all times? Thank you.

    • @FilmoraWondershare
      @FilmoraWondershare  5 месяцев назад +1

      Oh, we understand! You're saying that the person you want to keep in color is moving within the frame, right?
      To achieve this effect, you'll need to duplicate the layer and apply keyframe animation to the person you want to keep in color. This process can be quite time-consuming, which is why we generally recommend using this effect for static subjects.

    I need a more basic version of this. I was lost where you even started with importing stuff into the timeline, choosing the sky, blocks, etc. I have a video with ppt slides to the right of my "talking head" block and I need to cover parts of the slides with other graphics. No idea how. I think I need to do what you mentioned, but no idea where you are pulling options from. I need the tutorial before this one! :) Everything I've done thus far has been trial and error. I'm in Filmora 9 (lifetime subscription) -- not sure if it has the same features?

    • @vickibentley8963
      @vickibentley8963 7 месяцев назад

      I have a lifetime version of Filmora 9. If I want to edit the actual frames (edit the slide graphics in the video -- I know 123apps will do it), do I have to pay something else?

    • @FilmoraWondershare
      @FilmoraWondershare  7 месяцев назад

      If you are trying to cover parts of the video with other graphics you can maybe try to add shapes or even effect stickers? These can be found in the effects tab in Filmora9. Would that be helpful?

      Try the following steps:
      Go to Media: In the upper left corner of the Filmora interface, click on the "Media" tab.
      Find the Compound Clip: Locate the compound clip you have created in the media library.
      Delete the Compound Clip: Right-click on the compound clip in the media library and select "Delete" to remove it.
      This should help clear the compound clips from your drop-down menu. If you continue to have issues, please let us know!

      To add ease in or out to your mask's keyframe, you can find the grey dots in the "Draw Mask" section. Click on those dots to enable keyframing for your mask, and then you can apply the ease in or out effects.

    Why did the FREE filter selection disappear from effects, transitions, titles? 13.5.1
    you guys are pretty much on your way to just teasing users it seems. I don't know but there are plenty of alternatives these days. Here in USA and Europe we don't like this. Be nice to your paying customers. Remember..... If you can't share then you can't grow and multiply.
    Tip: Listen to your paying users.

      @FilmoraWondershare  7 месяцев назад +1

      We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the recent changes. Your feedback makes a lot of sense, and we will pass this on to our development team to consider restoring the free filter selection in future updates.
      We appreciate your support and are committed to improving the user experience. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. If you have any further suggestions or need assistance, please let us know.
