This reminds me of a MASH episode with a soldier that was suicidal, after a few attempts Potter just tries to kill him. The guy freaks out and starts fighting for his life. I always remembered the line "The part of you that wants to live is stronger than the part of you that wants to die." Riggs just helped remind this guy of that.

I watched this film when it first came out with a very good doctor friend of mine who was a research scientist for many genetic diseases and Cancer. She was taken at a very young age by Cancer. I often look at clips of this movie as It bring back such happy memories of her as she loved all the Lethal weapon films.

Every one of the billion times I've seen this movie (started with 2x at the theater back in '87) I crack up when Riggs comes walking out of the airbag: "Wanna go again? Let's go again!! WHOOHOO!! WHOO!! HAHA!! WHOO!!"
such a cool scene for sure but its funny how they had all that time to clear the street shut down traffic and set up an airbag for the guy to jump What would the have done if the guy moved to the other side of the building to jump off the opposite side?

If every scene in every movie of the "Lethal Weapon" franchise was held to logical scrutiny and other cut or reworked...well, the movies wouldn't exist, or they just wouldn't be "Lethal Weapon" movies. I love loud action movies with lots of gunfire and explosions and knife-fights and car chases and people dangling from the landing skids and stuff. As someone who can't help but notice inconsistencies and contradictions and plot holes and what-not, it can take some real effort to just turn that part of my brain off and enjoy it. But "Lethal Weapon" is worth the effort. :-D
