The Packard 400 of 1955-1956 was a 2-door hardtop
and the designation was NOT used after 1956.
The '400' designation began with the early 1950's Patrician, meaning
one needed to be on FORBES 400 list in order to afford one.
They were really iconic beauties of yesteryear. Some offered some kind of air-leveling suspension system.

Ok. It was introduced in 1955 to celebrate Packard’s FOUR HUNDREDTH ANNIVERSARY SINCE INCEPTION IN 1899? I keep listening to that and doing the math. It’s ain’t workin out.
True, that doesn't make any sense and I edited that out. Maybe it is an omen that the Packard company will come back in a few hundred years!
