"Boris didnt pick a team who were all trying to fight for him" sums up the entire problem in UK politics and the attitudes and approaches of those who work in Govt. Surely Boris is supposed to pick a team who are passionate and fight for the UK people and for the UK to be an incredible country and to make the world a better place - not to be sycophants for the dear leader.

It feels like he joined the Tories when in the NUS at least in part out of spite because everyone assumed from the start that he and anyone from his background would automatically be Labour. Nothing of what he has to say about policy sounds especially Tory. It's almost as if he took a contrarian position as a student (in joining the Tories) and now feels like he can't turn away from the team that he picked. I'm sure he could do a lot of good giving advice to an incoming Labour government, but he seems to have discounted this as an option because he has to stay a Tory, notwithstanding the fact that the modern Conservative party is doing its best to cosplay as some kind of UKIP/Reform tribute act.

@BarryDiegoLondon-cy9ij you're kind of making my point for me. He says he'd vote for her "because she's a Conservative". He's chosen his team and he can't back down, and my feeling is it's because he chose that team out of a sense of contrarianism whilst in the NUS.

In all fairness the country belief informed them that Labour was too busy fighting its own leadership to be professional and taking the 19 election seriously enough to even campaign instead of standing down and taking a new position regarding Israel and the Palestinians, something that would be vastly different to acceptance of genocide by the apartheid regime of Israel, but then Labour needed a fall guy to cover the party for its institutional problems with honesty and decorum.

🤡 Bojo 🤡 and his form was well known, albeit heavily under-reported by the Tory press.
He couldn't even properly deny sharing secret information with Russians at the height of the Salisbury Novichok crisis, famously appearing absolutely wrecked next day at St Francis of Assisi airport, after an unauthorised solo trip following a NATO meeting.

Seems like a highly pragmatic type who's presenting a persona heavy on loyalty that he hopes will hold him in good stead after the current house of cards comes crashing down. Might even get him a job with Starmer.

All is going on just as those above us have planned, irrespective of our religion. And still many of us stubbornly refuse to open our eyes and see the big trap we are being lured into because we are too comfortable with our foolish ignorance that gives us a false sense of peace of mind. Then finally when it brutally and fatally pains, then we cry out in vain. oh how pathetic we are.

I feel like the reporter was very interruptive and slightly harsh on him based on his background and skin colour. Often people are so surprised when some black people described themselves as Conservatives. It’s as if they expect them to have the same views through out - which I don’t like at all.

Race relationships is a cesspool of misunderstanding and confusion. Here's an example, every army as it's own uniform but individuals know they do not fight for the uniform. Black people, white people, etc, easily fall off the rails and really around their color. Their causes are seldom addressed.
