Our economy struggling with uncertainties, housing issues, foreclosures, global fluctuations, and pandemic aftermath, causing instability. Rising inflation, sluggish growth, and trade disruptions need urgent attention from all sectors to restore stability and stimulate growth.

In particular, amid inflation, investors should exercise caution when it comes to their exposure and new purchases. It is only feasible to get such high yields during a recession with the guidance of a qualified specialist or reliable counsel.

True, initially I wasn't quite impressed with my gains, opposed to my previous performances, I was doing so badly, figured I needed to diverssify into better assets, I touched base with a portfolio-advisor and that same year, I pulled a net gain of $350k...that's like 7times more than I average on my own.

I turned 40 today. I meet with 2 financial advisors earlier this year who estimated my net worth between 1.6 and 1.8 mil. I live in the middle of nowhere, work a bluecolor job in a very poor state, have an associates degree from a votec school. Anyone can do what I did. Most of my net worth is my 401k. The next chunk is my paid off house. I haven't had debt in years and live well below my means. I dont lose sleep over the housing market or stock market swinging.

I was able to save a lot of money in 3 years. I landed a 3 year consulting gig paying over $100K a year. I reside in the mid-west where there is a lower cost of living. I lived with my Mother ( I paid her rent). During this time I also paid off my $15K student loans and $18K Jeep. Now I have zero debt, still making over $100K and able to focus on building wealth via investments, etc

Reduce taxation, reduce government spending, sensible regulation, use monetary policy for price stability, increase international trade and the result is a booming economy.

I was very much enjoying this interview until Mr Kwarteng decided that Reform were to blame for Labour getting a majority . No , Mr Kwarteng , the Conservatives are to blame and only the Conservatives because if they had done what they were voted in for and pledged in their manifesto's to do then there would be no need for Reform and the Conservatives would still be in power . Likewise in USA, the WEF need one of their own to run the country. That’s why Trump was denied a second term and that explains why there are assassination attempts on his life. They will do everything they can to ensure Harris gets in so that they can continue with their agenda. That’s also the reason why they want a war with Putin because he is like Trump in that they cannot buy or control him.

Spoke to kk in 2016 having heard much of his previous commentary, books, wanting his predictions after brexit vote.
His understanding on the inauthenticity of academia, including economics taught, places him among the few whom can be entrusted, esteemed enough to advise and to direct the economy.
    Has sensible economic philosophy.

Well that means gutting the one nation caucus. They don’t believe in anything other than power not a governing philosophy. If Badenoch wins which looks likely the tories need to slowly faze them out, when they openly refuse to support a right wing leader that’s everything you need to know about them

Kwasi is OK compared to others, but just listening to these people speak you can clearly see they have been privileged with limited exposure to many of life’s hardships, and therefore no true understanding of the severity of the situation we are currently living through; not just with regard to the economy and demographics, but war and violence being “closer than the jugular vein”.

The worst thing is the government can’t control them like they once did. The BOE does its own thing and if they don’t like what you offer they undermine you, same with OBR. If anyone wants to rewire the economy take the independence out of the BOE to change the status quo

I think if he had an interview like this when he was in politics before becoming Chancellor, I believe people would of warmed to him more and he would of been more sucessful and lasted longer. I think no one really knew who he was and next thing he was chancellor. If people dont know you, dont believe or trust you then they will not support you when poo is hitting the fan with the markets reactions to there policies. I think what he was doing was right when he was Chancellor but like he said they did it too fast. Certainly alot better than what labour and Reeves are doing now which will create a doom loop.

His budget was sabotaged by the Bank of England.
On Wednesday 21st September 2022, the US Federal Reserve raised the Federal Funds Rate by 0.75%.
On Thursday 22nd September 2022, the Bank of England raised the Bank Rate by only 0.5%.
At this point a devaluation of sterling against the US dollar was baked in.
Currency traders don't take up a position ahead of a government financial statement, so currency traders had a whole day to set up their trades, but it wasn't until after the budget on Friday 23rd September that they pressed the button and sterling devalued.
The insurance companies held gilts which, if held to redemption, would cover their liabilities, but when gilt prices fell due to higher interest rates, in the short term they wouldn't. The Bank of England could have temporarily suspended the need to mark to market, but it chose not to do so.
