I was recommended this video by a friend who supports Reform and I appreciate it as someone who sits opposed to a lot of the positions mentioned in this video. Gawain seems like an interesting man and I'd be interested in hearing a less emotive perspective from him and some practical analysis on how he or those he supports would see Britain thriving in the current day.
The sentiments he expressed aren't unreasonable but I do often wonder how any of what he's said would actually help the normal guy. Sure Brexit serves his ideological goals but in practice it has caused a lot of harm for the average Englishman, I think it's fair to say if you want the credit for the win you should also accept the credit for the suffering that came from it. Sadly these comments don't show Englishmen holding this guy to account but people patting him on the back for making you have less money in your pocket.
Don't worry though he doesn't begrudge nige getting paid well.

Governments have been trying and succeeding in destroying Pubs and Working Mens clubs all of my life , and I am 84. Tax upon Tax , a burden most retiree's cannot afford. How much of the agenda has been pushed by the NHS , with constant claims of cancer , brain shrinkage etc. Speaking as an old guy , what is worse , dying alone and being bored to death , or having a midday pint and and a game of cribbage. That question as most of that type will not be answered.

It may surprise him and other campaigners that many people would have voted to leave the EU irrespective of their campaigning.
I voted to leave in 1975 and again in 2016.
Politicians exaggerate their influence. Some people determine and decide things for themselves.

@jamesprice4647 That is an absurd assertion. It was a constitutional question concerning the nature of governance and democratic accountability.. If you believe supranationalism and rule by an unelected oligarchy ( the Executive is The Commission) is preferable to the independent, self-governing nation state, then by all means support "the project."
      I do not.

@@jamesprice4647 Great. So you are a corporate globalist. The Euro Group / WEF cabals bot. I hope at least that your programming was literal and not in fact socially engineered through ignorance by someone else's design. Meta boasts about the high percentage of its 18-24 year old users whose opinion they can totally alter within one four sentence paragraph. That doesnt work with those of us who have worked in the EU or for it and fortunately we can do what bots cannot. Speak from personal experience and direct knowledge.
