@@TheAudaciousAdventurer Yes, and then the BBC started their anti Boris campaign because his cabinet took the overdue decision of scrapping the BBC/TV licence fee. The sad thing is that many of the less experienced Tory MPs fell for the media campaign and pushed him out. They forgot that he is popular with the public and that is more important than being popular at the BBC.

A British broadcaster on "The rise and fall of Boris Johnson". I think it would have been fair if they'd pointed out that Boris Johnson only had a "rise" in England. In the 2019 general election the Welsh electorate voted in a majority of Labour MPs, in Northern Ireland they voted away from unionist parties and in Scotland the tories lost more than half their seats.

If you subscribe to that opinion, then the Union is already dead, as it's supposed to be an alliance of EQUALS! Yet somehow most English people seem to think that Scotland, Wales & Northern Ireland don't count, or aren't worthy of this equality and should just shut up and do as they're told by a Westminster Government that is increasingly out of touch with the reality of it's citizens.
In the 53 years of my life, there has NEVER been a Tory majority in Scotland. Boris has been the best impetus in recent years for Scottish Independence and Liz Truss will only continue that trend as she intends to continue in the same mould as Boris!

Sadly Johnson represents all that is shallow and insidious with our culture, a biased class system, the privileged few who rise to the top regardless of ability or talent. No wonder confidence in the system, be it political or otherwise is at its lowest ebb. No one with a brain cell seriously believes that this man is the best this country has to offer.

The global media external of the UK talk about this all the time more now than ever and Boris Johnson was central. I wonder why the British media no longer talk about the largest single event that will shape Britains future. Let me think? Is it because it will reduce viewership or because people don’t want to hear that it may be one of the primary reasons the UK is more vulnerable to economic shocks than ever before. Now affecting peoples lives but hey ho the people won.

Churchill did make mistakes but he did not lie pathologically and wantonly ignore every rule that he met and certainly not every rule that he made. Winston was aware of his shortcomings and did not court publicity and public support with inconsiderate and/or underhand moves. He did not chase personal donations and did not secretly meet with shady people. He did not cut short official business and give his security the slip jeopardising national security by attending (with his then mistress) a drunken brawl hosted abroad by people who were using him and hoping for his national and international indiscretions . Actually, why has this enormous infringement not been thoroughly investigated yet?

History and our views of this man are already being rewritten by the likes of the so-called impartial BBC. If you just listen to the voice-over: it associates him with being a great man, compares him to Churchill, straight out calls him a winner and a hero. The voice-over at no point calls him a liar or a criminal. All the negative stuff that we all came to loathe is allowed to be played down by his cronies with stuff pulled from their backsides. It's the bullet points that stick in people's heads and colour our views, and those were all subtly pro Johnson. I'm sure we're supposed to come away from this thinking he wasn't that bad really, we lost a great man there. This was barely a notch away from a conservative party political broadcast.

The Great Man Theory of history is fact, it's just overstated sometimes. Without certain individuals rising to the top of the power structure at certain moments, history would have happened differently. So now you unionists want over 50% of the Scottish electoral roll to vote for independence, not just 51% of the turnout. Then Liz Truss said that 60% of the vote must, for over a year, return 60% or more before an independence referendum is even being considered. It would seem that no English lessons were learned from the Irish Easter uprising, and history must repeat itself. Like the tides, you can not stop Scottish Independence and self-determination. You will lose all Scottish taxation, duty and other incomes from Scotland. Welcome to your very English Brexit.
