hey have you done any upgrades to the transmission? I was thinking on doing the stillen supercharger with the air to air kit. aiming for 430ish whp. I have an 08 g37 5at

Did you ever have any problems with the engine after supercharging?
Was the tune provided by stillen for their kit through an OBD? Or did you have to use aftermarket ECU tuning/equipment/computer, saw a haltech shirt.

Apples and oranges, difficult for me to make that comparison. Intriguing car here and didn't know about the IPL until recently. New Mustangs are superb as well and can make 500+ wheel without any forced induction at all.

So to run higher than 9psi you say you need to build up the SC? You can't just run a smaller pulley? Waiting to sell my GSXR then I will probably hit the "buy" button on this kit. Would love to do myself. Twin turbos too expensive/time consuming and I like the instant power for drifting. Z06 inspired me
Yeah you just need to buy the upgrade for the impeller for the SC. Im not 100% sure about the pulley tho. I think the one I have now is the smallest pulley stillen sell. There's more info about it on the G37 and 370z forum. Yeah installation is pretty straight forward and stillen instruction is good. I like how the rpm power rev match the psi as you step on the throttle.

Gotta tell you I'm surprised it's only pulling 425 with all these add ons. I was expecting almost 5
yeah the highest I seen is 500whp and thats with stock cats and header. For some reason I wasnt getting the full 9psi when I hit close to 7000rpm. My exhaust system is also not complete yet and still running my stock IPL mid and y pipe. Once my Gthaus pipes arrive next week I hope to throw on the stock cat with it and re-tune again.
Most guys are getting 550 to the wheels with full GT Haus, test pipes, air-to-air upgrade and E85. That's with stock pulley and Vortech-- For all the money you spent you're getting robbed
Cody Collins if my plans are to put a 2jz in my g37, is it better to go this route and super charge it ? Or will the 2jz be less than 550whp?
@@idc_smd4341 everyone one holds the 2jz to this god like standard yes it's a great platform but it's not a 500hp motor in its stock form. For the money you would spend engine swapping to a 2j you could do this and have around 450-500ish hp you would be sitting at less than 300hp out of a stock gte and $7000 for clout and less power than your stock engine.
Daniel Nasif okay but also I want to do something different than just any G37 and I’m not in a hurry so I know if 2j was the way it wouldn’t be left stock.. but I’ve had this car only 3 months and as the months have gone by I feel I will still engine swap but go towards an Ls1 engine so that my base is then starting with more power don’t you think? Sure once I hit the turbo at higher rpms I will enjoy that boost but I want to be able to enjoy my engine by simply turning on my car and hearing that power . Maybe I just need a v8 but I’m in love with this car and the look so who knows what direction I end up going but thanks for the advice

Easily 7k$ plus fuel system upgrade, clutch upgrade, and a tune.

Did you have to redo your engine block and add bigger headers and increase air flow first ? Or did you juss swapped out a couple of parts because im thinking to do that with my sedan
I haven't upgraded the headers yet. With this kit adding a headers will only give you little hp gain according to Stillen.

Do you Dailey drive your G37? I'm about to purchase a supercharged G37 from my buddy. I have heard nothing but good things about this kid. But I'll be daily driving it. His is making around 440hp invidia exhaust and fast intentions long tube headers
I dont daily mine, since i have another car for that. I mainly built this car for weekend fun and soon will be tracking it once a while just for fun.

7 Speed? It's 6MT. So far the kit is holding good

Are you runing the stillen can tune? After they did my install, my car would take longer to crank, die, and stall at every other stop.
Mine is custom tune! Yeah you would need to re-tune it.
Is this done on a stock block and have you had any issues?

Hey man really nice G, how's the reliability on your supercharger experience any problems?
Supercharger is solid no issue. Even on hot weather (30-35*C) still has lots of HP.

Wouldn't the placement of the air filters make it impossible to wash the car or drive through puddles?
there's a delector plate in front of the filter which I didnt take picture after the final install.

I have a SC on my 370Z if you plan on reliability go with the SC but if u want big power get a TT set up
Twin turbo turbo probably very expressive but would be sick on my car I could just imagine car Is already crazy fast

other than injectors , looks like everything else was bolted one . He also didnt need to since 430 hp isnt pushing it . Id say its very conservative

If your mechanically incline, yes its staright forward to install. Since Stillen gives you a step by step instructions. The fuel pump assembly is probably the hardest part in my opinion. Its very delicate process and has lots of small parts to assemble.

Why didn't you go single or twin turbo?
Budget and installation. This set up was much cheaper than twin turbo set up. My original plan was fastintention TT kit. With the fastintention kit at that time availability of the kit was an issue since they just finished the kit and waiting time to ship was 2-3 months. With Stillen kit it was ship within 3 business day. Installation for Stillen was very easy to do. Didn't need a garage to do it and was done over a weekend project. With TT you need to drop the engine and need a shop to do it.
Charles Perez Ok, those are excellent answers. I hate it when people go for the S/C thinking it will make more power or torque than a ST or TT. You definitely know what you're talking about and looks like you did a great job.
Yeah you can make more power on TT no doubt cuz the psi is unlimited. With this kit i have now I can only make 9psi max. The SC it self is capable of 15psi I believe, which I will have to upgrade the blower and build the motor if I wanted too. But I'm satisfy with this power on the G37. Next project will be a turbo set up on a another car hopefully! cheers

Goals
I have a 2015 Nissan 370z, And I know how to create 380 H.P. with bolt on's and simple adjustments, and all of this can be done for under $1200 and 1 weekend. As well have that nice "sound" exhaust report. No Need to spend $$thousands of dollars, and have some high dollar fuck with his shop trick you out of your hard earned money. These guys are all the time full of shit, and after your money, Period.
Ask them: What is Valve flank speed and how is that relative to HP?
Chances are you will get a blank stare and a " I dont give a shit attitude", If so just walk out and stop getting blead of your hard earned cash.
We want to hear the engine and supercharger, not the stupid music....sad.

While this is kool, a new base Q50 with the base 3.0 300 hp twin turbo can be tuned to 420hp and run quicker than a Q50 RS400 tuned to 450 hp. And both will destroy this older, heavier G.

Isn't base 300hp and RS400 has same engine and transmission? The only difference is RS400 has additional water pump. And you are saying the same car with same engine both tuned but the lower HP is quicker than higher HP?
