      He is naturally an agressive player. You can see that every now and then to bail out of tough situations he goes heavy on his forehand and backhand. Nowadays he keeps himself controlled and tries to play an efficient and energy conservating game where he focuses on minimising errors, shot placement and good returns. You see his aggressive game coming out against Rafa more often than not.

      @@dpa71999 i definitely agree with that, i also think that post 2011 and nowadays nole is a better defensive player, is fitter, and is more willing to grind out a point as opposed to being too aggressive and trying to end it. i think he overall has become a smarter player and plays to his strengths, which in my opinion is his ability to get the ball in and deep and wait for his opportunities when they present themselves

    • @dpa71999
      @dpa71999 4 года назад +9

      @@kenadams8944 he is trying to maximize longevity. People think he runs a lot than more people which isn't true, for example in 2015 USO final Federer ran more KM's than Djokovic and in Wimbledon as well. Work per shot again he is in the middle (way below Nadal, Murray, Ferrer)(stats from 2014-16) . great achievement by djoko. I really like the old djoko game. Back then he was too aggressive, trying to hit winners. Today he is more like a forced error player. He knows which shot to hit to force his opponent to make a mistake. it really kept his unforced error down. That strategy really contributed to his major wins.

    • @arcadianluna2605
      @arcadianluna2605 4 года назад

      Oh plz enough with this nonsense ....how the hell he got 17 GS by being Forced error player only? Lol btw back then he had to prove himself by playing extra aggressive tennis becoze he was the underdog right now he is the one who is directing the match ..

    • @jeffhermida4788
      @jeffhermida4788 4 года назад

      @@arcadianluna2605 So if you look at stats for djoko. Early wins he had 2 to 1 winner/UFE ratio, meaning he was hitting a ton of winners. very similar to Fed and Nadal. Last few majors, his W/U is about even. Wimby 19 his forced errors was 30-40% of points won. Forced error count was 106 vs Fed's 62. Djoke's W/U ratio was +2 (54/52) while Fed's was + 32 (94/62). Total points won: Djoko 204 and Fed 218
      Djoko beat Fed by forced errors not winners.
