The "Brazilian National Anthem" (Portuguese: Hino Nacional Brasileiro) was composed by Francisco Manuel da Silva in 1831 and had been given at least two sets of unofficial lyrics before a 1922 decree by President Epitácio Pessoa gave the anthem its definitive, official lyrics, by Joaquim Osório Duque-Estrada, after several changes were made to his proposal, written in 1909.
The anthem's lyrics have been described as Parnassian in style and Romantic in content.

Not to be pickish or anything, but the land where Brazil stands upon's indigenous language would be either Old Tupi, which is a different language from Guarani in the same way German is a different language from English, or one of the many languages belonging to the Macro Jê family, which are a different language to Tupi in the same distance as Italian is different from English, being of the same Proto Continental family and sharing some expressions but being of different language families.
Less than 20% of Brazil's indigenous people were Guarani, as the Guarani peoples concentrated themselves to the West side of the Paraná River.

Fun fact: In Guarani, Pindorama - their word for Brazil in this video - actually means "Paradise".
For the Guaranis - inhabitants of what is today Paraguay, Argentina and Western Brazil, which consist mostly of dry prairies and wetlands - Eastern Brazil, a region just then occupied by the Tupi peoples (a closely related, albeit rivaled people), was a paradise on Earth. A mythical, holy place free of sin, of struggle and of misery, of extraordinary fertility and comfort which they couldn't reach because the Tupi tribes were already there.
When the Portuguese established their first settlements in Brazil and allied with some Tupi tribes to fortify their grasp on the continent the Guarani were enraged, seeing that as an "Invasion of Paradise", and would not only make themselves bitter rivals of the Portuguese for it (actively fighting against Portuguese occupation of Inner Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina) but would ally themselves with Portuguese rivals to querel their influence on whatever remained of Paradise and stop their Invasion (particularly with the Jesuit Order after they split from Lisbon during the administration of the Marquis of Pombal).
In a way, their efforts were in vain, since eventually Brazil would occupy all of Pindorama and most of their own, non-paradise land. And, as they say, to the victor goes the spoils and as such, when the Portuguese-spawned Brazilian nation arose on the gardens of Elysium it kept its title of Pindorama in the minds of the Guarani, and whatever remains of them still call it so. For these people, forsaken by circumstance, the Brazilian people are, enragingly and unbeknownstingly, the imperialistic citizens of Heaven.
So yes, this specific translation of that specific song has an importance that reverberates throught the centuries.
