1:34 I use the back buttons to replace L3 and R3. It's mighty useful for games that use those buttons for heavily-used functions like "sprint" or "scan". My thumb joints deffo thank me for it.
A month late but maybe this will help. On pc it does work if you connect it as a nintendo switch controller and the gyro is mapppable in Steam like you would expect, it will not work if its connected as x-input since xbox controllers do not have gyro. Compared to other gyro enabled controllers this one feels sligtly laggy,. It may be some kind of input smoothing within the hardware or software of the controller. This is in comparison with Ps4, Ps5 and Steam controller, all three which have better gyro and more snappy gyro for sure. This is something i noticed immediately as I've been playing on pc with gyro aiming for years now. Because of this I tend to avoid this controller for games where i need the gyro even though it will work. The ps4. ps5 and steam controllers are just better for this.
I just got this and the recent update that came out this month actual caused my right analog stick to slightly move up and down. Had to revert back to the update that came out in October.
my movement stick (left stick) has a 30% drift it was fine this morning and i haven't dropped it or anything, ive updated reset everything and it doesn't seem to fix it, any help or should i just buy another? its brand new too, about 140 hours played on it
Actually the controller drift problem happens due to a mechanical wear in the potentiometers. The solution implemented by 8bitdo is to apply a Low-pass filter to the signals through software. In my opnion it is a pretty ellegant solution. If you see this comment, can you give us an update on your controller?
Mine was less than 2 months and already drifting. After the update it seems to be perfect. Just a liiiiitle bit less sensistive, but ain't nobody needs all that sensitivity
If it is recognized as Dualshock 4 controller, does it mean I can use both Analog Triggers and Gyroscope on supported games and emulators? Or do I have to choose one of the two? Like... Steam supports both. And I don't want to give up Xinput either
update, now it wont even turn on. i press start and led 2 blinks green but wont turn on or connect to the software. -____- honestly save your money and buy an Nintendo pro controller
what device did you connect it to? switch, pc, xbox? it charges over all of them but as far as it working acting as a controller it needs to be set to the appropriate channel with the switch in the back and then pair it with the device.
Thanks man! Facing the same issue. So for other readers, you just need to update your controller firmware
Got more from this comment than from the video. Looks like a high Jack Black rip off.

Thanks a lot for the Video! Fixed my problem :D

Amazing company
I connected it via usb but nothing happens.

Can i use this controller on the Wii U ?
No
If your controller is in your lap then why would the gyro act jittery?
no it was very stable in a stationary position
It didn’t work
