  • Todays video is one that I have been wanting to do for a while and that is laying this workout mat flooring down in our basement and getting out workout area a little more user friendly. I really like the floor now that it's done and hope we get lots of use from it. I did find some similar mat flooring from amazon that I will link for you.

I'm 59, and I think each part of life has it's good parts. Having a young family is fun, but I enjoyed watching my children grow and see them become adults. I am glad I have been able to help them now and then and just be there for them as long as possible. I like my quieter time now, and I can read, knit, or plan projects. I hope you are enjoying your thirties, and I hope your life is always rich with your creativity and your peace and happiness.

Amy, its such a blessing to see women like yourself being homemakers. I was able to be a homemaker for a short time but circumstances kept me from that. I would say keep doing what your doing, share your faith and invite your kids to help
you to build a relationship and memories mainly. Thanks for the encouragement I get watching your channel. To God be the glory! :) .

Happy Birthday, sweet Amy! I think, through the course of your chat about turning 30, you answered your own questions. I am in the last year of my 50's, and am having similar feelings about turning 60. It seems like only yesterday, my children were little like yours...now they're 34 and 35, and have children of their own. I miss that age so much...when I could protect them, and care for them. It was a lot of work, but so rewarding. So from a mom much further down the road, I would encourage you to enjoy the journey; and remember that each and every day you live brings you that much closer to the LORD! Great job on the floor...I loved the way Jameson jumped right in to help his mom!

You are such a sweetheart. I love your tender heart.
    Im 45 (46 next month😅😹).
I grew up and still am, a pastors daughter. And, Im also the mom of a pastor. My husband and I have one child, he is 22 yrs old and a pastor. Im also 5th generation Christian. So now you know my background a bit.
When we grow up in faith, or have faith, growing older is not really as scary, I think, bcuz we know Who holds our future.
I got married at age 20.
My 20s I would say was fun and new because for that decade, I was a newlywed and new mommy.
Then my 30s... I found my 30s the biggest struggle decade. Alot of learning happened in my 30s... learning wisdom/discernment/how to handle struggles and relationships. I was also very sensitive hearted and got offended/hurt easily and had to learn how to manoeuvre thru alot.
My 40s however.... Im living my “best life”😇☺️🥰
The 40s are pure joy bcuz you now KNOW who you are, what you want, etc. Its like youre finally content with yourself and life. And its so beautiful and freeing. Its the best.
So what can I tell ya...
-Im now married 25 years... keep God #1 in your marriage, and laugh lots.. be each others best friend
-wear sunscreen NOW (on face and hands) to save you sunspots appearing on your skin. I promise you will wish you did when youre 40 lol. Collagen is also great to start.
    - Save money so youre not living paycheque to paycheque in your 40s.
-and my biggest advice is to get healthy because its in your 40s that you start to notice your age..aches/pains if not in shape. Losing weight is brutal hard in your 40s so avoid that if you can as you wanna be able to have energy to continue homekeeping etc. I think this is what I wish most that I learned when I was younger instead of now..
And, I would encourage every young wife to find a mentor or just an older wife/mom to be like a big sister to you. Because in your 20/30s, y’all need encouragement. Im here if anyone needs it🙏🏻
And the last thing I wanna share is:
Making time for devotions (bible AND ESP prayer time). Having a personal tangible relationship with the Heavenly Father is everyyyything. Spending time in prayer will supernaturally bless your life. I now spend 2-3 hours daily in prayer at age 45. (I keep God busy y’all😌😁😉)
Youre a beautiful young woman. Physically and your heart is as well. Youre very mature for your age, its easy to see you have wisdom, and discernment. Theres no doubt that youre going to be just fine, my lovey. Here if you have any questions ever❤️💕

I’m in my mid 40’s, and the best advice I ever received was to not put stuff off - vacations, career changes, etc. And not sweat the small stuff - easier said than done I know! I have a few family members who saved diligently until retirement age - only to receive a devastating medical diagnosis. So they never got to travel. So now husband and I don’t put stuff off! We have learned life changes with every breath we take, so we all need to quit worrying about stuff that won’t matter on our death bed and just enjoy life and our family.
Enjoy those babies - mine are older teenagers and I remember how difficult and exhausting that young kiddo stage can be - but would trade it in a heartbeat for my new worries: boyfriends, driving, and colleges! 😂🙏😱
Thank you so much for your content - you are an inspiration!!!! 🥰

Life is a challenge at any age! Changes, health challenges, family member’s issues, children’s challenges are all going to come and go. The mom/wife sets the tone in the home, and you are setting it well! You are productive, creative, encouraging your children, calming, practicing healthy habits and loving God! I’m 65, retired and a mother and grandmother. My attitude is the same as yours. Take it as it comes, enjoy each stage of life (yours and others), and be present. Live your best life!

I am 25 but I was given some good advice recently. If you are feeling anxious, take a deep inhale and then exhale back down into your body. We are so prone to breathe from the “shoulders up” in quick breaths which can trigger the fight or flight feeling. Focusing on a few breaths like this has made me feel so much better and grounded and I am so grateful. I hope it helps someone else too ❤️

I'm new to your channel! But I'm reading these comments to see what advice the older generation might have left. I am also young, in my 20s, but not yet married. However, I find that so few young women are looking to the older women for wise council. So thank you for making that a part of your video! And Happy Birthday.

I am a mom of 4. I also am in my 60s What I want to say to all those younger than me. My advice is to 1. Don’t stress the small stuff. Even through your life journeys enjoy the moments. Don’t worry about what others think. Trust God . Keep your faith growing. And it’s ok to have that extra piece of cake.

I’m turning 33 next month and I remember turning 30 and felt how you did. I’ve realized sometimes growth and change is fun and sometimes it can be hard and painful, yet necessary but I’ve also realized God definitely has answered all my prayers, even if I didn’t like the answer and that all of it makes sense in the end even if I didn’t see it at first. That has definitely made some things with aging and changes in life easier. But your 30s are just as fun!

Just watched your video and thought I’d weigh in!! I can totally relate to those feelings you talked about! I think there’s just something about leaving your 20’s that makes you feel old! You just feel different. It was really hard for me too, but alas I’m 42 now and looking back I think, what was wrong with me? I’d love to be turning 30! 😂 So my advice is just to enjoy the time you’re in as much as possible, because you’ll never get that time back! Even though it’s easier said than done!!! 💕

Happy birthday, Amy!! You are entering into the BIG 3-0!!! I remember when I was in that age how much fun I had with my children. I loved dressing them, fixing their hair, teaching them, challenging them. Everything about that time period was so much fun. Now I am in my big 60's and enjoying time with grandchildren and even seeing how my children are as parents themselves. It's also a great time. Plenty of time to enjoy being with my husband as we are both retired. Life in all its stages has many many blessings. Enjoy them all!!

Amy you are a beautiful young woman! Do not feel bad about turning 30-it happens to all of us! What I will tell you is something a special ed teacher told me (we have a special needs child who is now 37 and did FAR BETTER than the doctors ever thought he would-that’s another story for another day) Anyway she came to our home 3 times a week when our son was 2 and worked with both of us. She noticed how clean the house was and said, you know you should spend all the time you’re cleaning your house and making it so perfect with your children. The dirt is not going anywhere. It will still be there when you put the kids to bed or for a nap. But your children will be gone before you realize it and you will miss all that time you could have spent with them. She was right. It was the best tip anyone ever gave me! My kids are all grown up and now....I don’t even care if the house isn’t perfect.. The dog drags leaves in all over the carpet-the laundry can sit in a basket a few days until I am ready to fold it-and my husband can squack about not having dinner on time-it’s OK. Life goes on. G-d doesn’t care how clean my floors are. But he does care that I spent all that time with my children! And I’m in my last year of my 60’s!!!!! Anytime someone complains that I didn’t do something I just tell them I’m retired-do it yourself! Shuts them up right away!!! PS: Happy Birthday!

My best advice is what you think is so important and worries you so much, for the most part, is nothing when you get older. I'm in my 40's and I feel totally different than I did in my 30's. I feel more mature, grounded, responsible, empowered and insightful. I listen better and pay attention harder and try not to learn my lessons the hard way. Not that I wasn't all those things before. I'm just MORE now. I'm better. Never stop learning, it'll add life to your years and quality. And boost your mental age as you age, it will help you so much when you're older. Read, do puzzles, continue to learn, exercise and stay active. A sedentary life is a killer medically. I will say continue to always take care of your skin, take vitamins and hair, nail and skin vitamins are your friends. Relax, you're doing great. You have a great home, family and you're bridging gaps between people with your videos. I had no idea that we have way more in common than we have differences until I started watching your videos. I'm older than you but you seem way older than your numerical age because you have so many talents and are a beautiful human being. That radiates from within. Enjoy life! And try not to sweat the small things. ❤️

Enjoy and appreciate your youth because one day, before you know it, you will wake up and you're going to be 50 ~ not that that is a bad thing, not at all because in many respects it has many benefits over being younger, but if you do what you're doing, i.e. embracing and enjoying each stage of your life, all your tomorrows will be full of love, joy and new things; things that only come with each new stage and which are missed if you don't embrace and enjoy each stage, and of course, it's more than ok to embrace and allow yourself to feel any feelings of sadness and loss that you may be feeling as you move from one stage to the next ~ our feelings make up the rich tapestry of life, like the spectacular colours, textures and changing weather of autumn 🍂💞💕💞

This might be a silly question but are there any restrictions on women working out? Like can they do all the workouts but it has to be in private? Can they do cardio but they can’t do weightlifting? Can’t do yoga? Etc.

I don't really know of any restrictions, although that probably depends on who and where you ask. I prefer to do any work outs at home. I just find it more relaxing that way.

Hi Amy. That wedding pic you gave in your bedroom. Is that your wedding picture?

Yes, there are several in our bedroom, so I'm not sure which one you're referring to. Thanks for watching! :)
