I get an emotional rush watching someone who’s honestly touched by what they’re experiencing. Thank you. Your Mitch face was fun to watch. He’s everyone’s favorite Diva with a heart of gold, and a voice to match. The older vids with Avi or the newer ones with Matt makes no difference, they’re both trained and bring their own style and presentation to the songs they cover. Kirsty is doing more forward carry than in the early days, and she blows everything she does out of the water. Kevin has more talent in his little toe that most seasoned performers have in their entire repertoire. And Scott can make icebergs melt and water boil with his sweet and sultry voice.
So fun seeing newbies listen to Pentaonix for the first time. They roll their eyes in bliss when Avi brings in the bass and raise their eyebrows and mew their lips in "that does not compute" surprise when Mitch hits his solo. Almost every single one! LOL
@@mjcole12 we're so used to hearing drums and backgrounds in everything that it takes a few listens to realize just WHAT we're hearing with Kevin. Some even say "So we heard a solo from these four, what good is that fifth guy?" Eventually they say, "OMG, this guy is the drums! And that wind noise, and the cymbals, and..."

While I think you can both appreciate and enjoy the different sorts of music they delve into, there are a few that stand out and might reflect the breadth of their talents ... Bohemian Rhapsody, Mad World, When the Partys Over, Daft Punk, Sing, Amazing Grace and many more .... and yep, their Christmas albums are outstanding and the first song of theirs that hooked me maybe about a decade ago was Carol of the Bells, which just totally startled me in terms of what non-instrumental music could be like ... I’ve listened to EVERY different voice coach, music teacher, voice expert, etc, shown on RUclips (what is it, 50 or 60?) react to Pentatonix’ version of “Hallelujah,” and with every different one, I zeroed in to see their faces when Mitch started singing. Their expressions of awe and utter disbelief is priceless. I totally agree with them. Many I’ve played over and over just to see their reactions. This woman here is my favorite as far as honest “expert” reaction. She doesn’t miss even the slightest nuance regarding to their singing. Her astonishment is honest, especially in regard to Mitch.

I am an older person raising grandkids. When Mary Did You Know came out and some wonderful person posted it on fb. I fell in love! I introduced them to my kids. We each own a copy if everything they've put out. And we got to see them also. They have progressed so much I feel like a proud parent!

They have great originals like Run to You, Sing, and their new album The Lucky Ones is all originals. Gold really highlights Mitch's voice.
