    Nice exhaust mate!
    Silly question, do you need a tune after installing the axle back exhaust?
    Sounds really good!

    • @OmniGarage
      @OmniGarage  3 года назад +5

      Thanks LJ!
      An axle-back or catback exhaust do not require a tune.
      Cat-back exhaust systems affect the region of exhaust after the catalytic converters. This means that the new parts are clear from any sensors or meters that the ECU (Engine Control Unit) may need to run the vehicle. They may let more sound flow through, but the system does not affect the aspiration of the engine.
      As a result, cat-back (so axle-back too) exhaust systems do not require an updated tune.

    Maybe a silly question but, Even if it does leak what is the issue? It's not like a leak here should cause issues since it's long after any metered air... right? 🤔 What are the risks here?

    • @OmniGarage
      @OmniGarage  2 года назад

      An exhaust leak can cause dangerous gases to enter the atmosphere before being properly treated - however given this is so far back in the exhaust chain, I don’t think there would be any real issue with a slight leak.
