"Firemen never die, they just burn forever in the hearts of the people whose lives they saved." may he, and all firefighters who gave their lives, rest in peace.
I feel you I’m only 13 and I lost my brother in 2020 he was only 23 he is a fallen firefighter and hear his last call made me break down to the floor I couldn’t stand it hurt to much so all my condolences go to you
The Final Call, Star Spangled Banner, bagpipe funeral music, and last but not least, Taps & 21 are the very few things that ALWAYS bring a tear to my eye
I remember when I heard the Final Call for one of the other FD’s Chief over radio while responding to a wreck. But the moment we heard the call go over radio, we all went silent. He was a leader and a great man who we had the honor of working with on scenes and learning from. Losing anyone whatever the cause of death in the Fire Service is a loss that affects everyone who knew the individual. God Bless you all who are affected by this loss.
Thank you for the video I couldn't quite understand exactly what was said on my uncle's final call but I think it was just like this. It was definitely the most emotional and powerful part of the whole funeral. Also a huge thanks to all firefighters and first responders out there!!💕
My grandfather was a charter and chief of his department. He served from 1976 to the end of 2020. He passed last year. Toughest part wasnt watching him pass, the funeral or anything else, it was telling the department, watching the guys do the honor watch and listening to his final call. The final call was the only part that nearly broke me. It signifies the end of the whole process, abd gives the family, and department closure.
I have had to hear this 6 times in my 5 years as a full time firefighter and volunteer firefighter, it’s always these that make me realise we do our job for a reason and our sacrifices aren’t in vein. R.I.P to all past and future firefighters who make the ultimate sacrifice
I remember this because of my dad was a volunteer fire fighter and they did this for him to and I was just crying the whole time like I was crying he was my dad and the person I did look up to I miss him so much. He was the best dad ever it was 6 years on April 2nd this year

I had to hear the final call of my FTO from a former ambulance service. I hadn't see him in 2 years and it's so hard to hear. In this big family a final call is so sad to hear because you know when those pagers sound they won't be showing up to that call or to the station ever again.
We Stand Before A Hero OF God who put other lives before his doing what he loved and trained for . God please take our brother into your loving arms and keep him safe in the great Firehouse Above for all time till his brothers sisters and other family members can come home and be as one.. RIP FF Fortsch brother your job is over let us take the shift . we salute you
