Yeah, it does. I saw on Instagram that the last episode of Blue Bloods that was just made last week was a dedication for him. Rest in peace, Treat Williams.
Hey I’ve got some really great news to share with you, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, died on a cross and resurrected on the third day so you may all have eternal life. If you believe and repent of your sins and put your faith and trust in Him as you would a parachute jumping off a plane at 25000 feet up in the air, He will give you eternal life in heaven as a free gift and I promise you, He will change your life forever as He did mine. He is the ONLY way to heaven and He loves you all. Please think deeply about this with urgency because this is your eternal life and soul, you don’t know when you could die, meaning you could die at any moment, so please consider this with all your heart. If anyone tells you that Jesus isn’t the only way, they are lying to you and they don’t care about your future.
‘Sleep tight dad, you earned it’ and one again I’m crying 🥺 first Andy then shay then his girlfriend and now his dad... I can’t stop watching chicago fire, today I watched 11 episodes
That scene with the fire trucks actually does happen. My beloved husband also a professional firefighter was taken on his final journey on a fire truck GONE ON TO HIGHER DUTIES
My father was a marine, and his dad was a tough love man like Benny. My father wasn’t an emotional man, but I watched this episode with him by chance, and he teared up during this part and I realized it was because it reminded him of his fathers death. I didn’t realize how much until I overheard him listening to this part time and time again later that night. My dad was diagnosed with and passed of cancer shortly after. I remember sending this clip to him in the hospital and said ‘I know this reminds you of your dad, but it won’t have to remind me of you, not for a long time.’ Watching this again now is tough. I miss him
My brother died saving 9 people when the building came down and he died and so did 5 of the people he tried to save but i know whats its like so keep it up things are better
When Severide paused as he was saying “it took me to long to realise that” I started balling my eyes out and when he said “sleep tight dad, you’ve earned it” 😭😭
Indeed it is, even after you leave the fire department you are still considered part of the family. Check out some of Dennis Smith's books about the FDNY ( he was a FF with Engine Company #82 in the South Bronx for many years) to learn just how close knit these men and women are.
@@user-si9fx4xb6v I have been to many services for my brother's and sisters. They just same to get more and more gut wrenching. Have a great weekend my friend
We are all family. When one of us passes , a part of all of us goes with them. Doesn’t matter if they are on your department or another town or state. We all live and breathe for each other.
The Chicago Series, especially this one knew how to make a scene, this is powerful, the music, the words spoken, the scene itself, perfect! I love this show. Near impossible not to be so engrossed and tear up at this.
Rob Fab Videos it was in the first or second season. He fell down a trash shoot or something like that. The fire crew helped with the Funeral because it was the little boys dream to become a firefighter. It was so sad.
This makes me think of my dad who’s a retired firefighter he once saved a little boy from a fire I heard this story as I got older though he never liked talking about it I’m proud of him this will my dad one day I’m not looking forward to it but I’m proud to come from a fire fighting family I cried watching this when this came on and now I still cry watching this
These moments in Chicago Fire are so powerful and excellently choreographed. Together with the inspiring but melancholic score in the background, you can't help but get a lump in your throat. When a show does that, you know it's of high quality.
I watched the whole Series, and there are some very emotional moments, but at this episode i really cried. In his own way Benny held his Hand over them all and in the end they gave him the service and salute he much deserved. Thank you
This just reminds me of the ceremony we had for my step dad, he died while trying to save a little girl from a house fire. He’s a hero. And though he wasn’t my biological dad, he raised me as his own. Rest easy pops ❤️❤️❤️
I feel so sad for Kelly😔. He has lost so many important people in this 7 seasons. Death, #1. Andy, #2. Shay, #3. Nurse and last but not least #4. His dad. 😭💔😔
The only thing missing from this scene was a lone bagpiper playing Amazing Grace. But that might have truly done me in. Excellent job from the entire cast.
I agree, the Chicago Fire Department has an amazing bagpipe and drum band that plays at the memorial services of firefighters. It is a tradition going back many years, when a majority of firefighters in the department were Irish and Scottish immigrants. I saw a video once of them playing Going Home with the Chicago Police Department's pipe and drum band.
I thought this too, until I saw the whole season where it explains why there wasn't one. The reason for this is that Benny didn't die in the line of duty it was a stroke.
@@omsi2310 In all seriousness, if that's not actual Chicago Fire Department policy then it's a caveat due to how expensive it would've been for a weekly TV series to put on the full she-bang like they did at the end of Backdraft: ruclips.net/video/ZNVdykG5nKw/видео.html
Treat Williams did a really good job as Benny Severide. Makes me wish that they did a single flashback episode when Wallace Boden, Benny Severide and Henry Mills all worked on the same crew.
This is one of the best shows on TV. I look forward to every Tuesday because ION TV runs a marathon of this show all day long until 3am the next morning. They have some really great writers. I never miss it on Wednesday nights either. The cast is superb and enhance each other. My favorite is Boden. 🙂
