    Dear Allie Beth,
I am old enough to be your mother and am fairly new to your videos. The title of this one really caught my eye as I've seen the You are Enough posts from dear, well-meaning sisters in Christ on facebook. And I want to weep every time I read one of them.
After watching your video, I am nearly moved to tears knowing that God is raising up theologically sound thinkers in the next generation. There is no need for us "old folks" to panic. He is in control. You have knocked the ball out of the park, here. :)
Thank you for your obedience to His call and congratulations to your family in the newest addition! :)

I just have to tell you, I’ve just recently repented of a lot of New Age beliefs/practices, having grown up in a Christian household. And someone recently was asking me for my opinion on their EFT tapping routine they created, which repeatedly said “I AM enough.” It made me uncomfortable, so I prayed about it. And then this video showed up in my recommended videos. GOSH I love God.

Such an important message, it needs to be listened to over and over until it sinks in. We need Jesus and I it’s time to deny ourselves and follow him.

If our greatest need was self image, God would have sent us a psychiatrist. But our greatest need is redemption from sin, so God sent us a Savior. Our hope is in Christ Jesus alone!

This is my first time here and Wow!! This message reached the core of my heart. I just could not stop crying through the whole video because I realized how much this self love has affected our "modern day christainity" and even me. Thank you for clarifying this topic and drawing the line. Jesus is the only one who will ever be enough. God bless you

  • @kingdamager7370

Absolutely! I could see this theology creeping into the church a long time ago. I would remind them, we are not good enough as we are. We come to Christ as we are, we are born again and we can begin making different choices. As I would remind people, Christ made it as simple as possible. As people would kneel before him and ask his forgiveness, his response was consistent. "Go and sin no more" in other words, change the sinful behavior. He is there to help and lean on, but ultimately, it is up.tous to choose a new path. We all struggle with it. I know I do.
    Well said.

So much of Christian messaging these days has become "God is really great, and the best thing about Him is how much regard He has for you!" It's such a self-centered gospel, and ultimately fails. God is the great I AM, holier than we can conceive, and it is an utter mystery why he even cared about us enough to save us. When you get that, when you get how great he is, and how un-great you are . . . .you get what grace truly is.

This is awesome, love this. I’ve always thought this about our gospel compared to the culture; our culture tells us that we are enough and good enough but I feel like the grace of the gospel is that we aren’t enough and that’s why we NEED Jesus!

Another common expression is "God does not give us more than we can handle". Sounds truthie, doesn't it? Maybe, but it is not true. We have to rely on God precisely because we cannot handle a lot of things. God created us with a lot of limitations but God is limitless and He wants us to come to Him when the going gets tough. Peter came to Christ during the gale storm when Christ was fast asleep. The disciples were going to perish at any moment in their small boat. Christ awoke, rebuked the storm, and the water returned to calm. We need to come to Christ when the storms of our lives are threatening to destroy us.

CHRIST makes us complete, because we are NOT enough WITHOUT Him. He gives us our worth because He is our Creator. We may be weak, but HE IS STRONG. 2 Corinthians 12:9 - And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Given that it's always fallible humans who declare what God wants, what God thinks, and what God did or does, then the idea - "you are not enough" - is simply another idea being put forward by fallible humans, some of whom like to claim or imply that said idea actually comes from God.
A lot of people suffer because they have been brought up to believe that they are not enough, and that they are utter filth without the source which makes them complete. And it can lead others into an unwarranted sense of superiority with respect to the rest of the world because it's outsiders (non believers) who lack relative to insiders (believers). For example, it's the outside that teaches "the common lie", when a bit of reflection would show just how damaging things can be on the inside.
It's not so clear Stuckey is correct.

First time I checked out your podcast, Allie. Biblical and on point! We are not enough because of sin (Romans 3:10-18, Ephesians 2:1-3, Jeremiah 17:9), which is why sinners need the Savior. And you're right about holiness (1 Peter 1:13-16) and the Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16-17). I always liked your conservative view, but I absolutely love your Christian view. God bless, sister.

I like Witness Wednesday. This is the first time I have watched any of your theology stuff it was very helpful. I feel like you were on point but for myself I am not comfortable with holding up others for judgement. You did mention people still finding their way. I feel like all of us are still learning and making discoveries as things are revealed to us. There are many examples of people being used by God who were not perfect. God has used some unlikely people to reveal truth. Some messages may even be just be a first step for many on the pathway to revelation. As you mentioned a lot of young people are put in the limelight and asked questions and they don’t perhaps have a complete understanding. I don’t feel that they should be silenced. Perhaps their message is part of a plan we don’t see. God is perhaps working in them and others in a way we don’t yet understand. This should not distract from the truth as you pointed out and there is only the truth. I just feel these young folks who speak to so many and with so much hope should not be condemned. If they stumble a little they should be encouraged, supported and guided from a place of love, prayer and wisdom. Thank you for your video.

And you were dead in the trespasses and sins in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience- among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind. But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ-by grace you have been saved- and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
    Ephesians 2 : 1-10

Yes, indeed, we all, are wicked sinners and we need a Great Savior, we need Christ Jesus in order to be saved and belong to God's Family, as adopted children! What else we could dream of for our present and future! Once God gives us the undeserved gift which is a brand new life, we will never ever feel alone nor sad nor incomplete! Humans need the God of The Bible to be happy because, since Adam and Eve sinned, we remain separated from God, we are children of wrath, and that fact makes us miserable, sad, and completely lost. Repent of desiring to be like God. It is the worst sin, envying the power and wisdom of God. Women are called to be humble enough to accept what God has prepared for our future. And in Christ, we have to serve, take care of and cherish all of our neighbors, beginning of our own family, like Jesus, was meek and humble, being GOD, the second person of the Trinity.

Nathan, the problem of evil is taken care of on the cross from the love and grace of Christ (John 3:16, Ephesians 2:8-9). We have the Savior of sinners that takes care of the wickedness that is in the nature of all people. When sinners repent and trust in the Lord, the problem is solved for that person. The ultimate problem of evil will not be taken care of completely until the Lord returns (Revelation 20:11-14).
