What was your favorite read this month?
I love the idea of buying books as souvenirs from the places you visit. You’ve got me hyped to start my Hobb journey! I feel the same way about audiobooks. I usually don’t get as much out of it. Welcome home from vacation! 🧊
Thanks Alicia! I can’t wait to hear what you think of Hobb! She’s much slower paced than say John Gwynne, but it’s worth the ride ❤️
I managed to read 8 books in August. My favourite was Before She Disappeared by Lisa Gardner. Will definitely be continuing with the series.
Wow how do you read so many books!! A goal to aspire to for me haha 😊 Just checked out the premise of Before She Disappeared and it sounds so good! Thanks for letting me know about!
Your channel is great. Don’t change anything.
Thanks Jess! ❤ I so appreciate your support and encouragement. You rock!!
Glad you enjoyed your vacation. Alaska is as beautiful as i remember it! Did you get to see whales? Orcas? I read some of Alaske when i was younger, like in my early 20s. I never finished it, but would love to pick it back up again. It's just soo loong..🤦♀️📚
Thanks Angel!! It’s just stunning isn’t it?? Great place to be present and contemplate as well 😊 we saw dolphins and bald eagles, but sadly no whales! We also saw mountain goats on our plane ride though!
If you end up picking up Alaska again, I look forward to hearing what you think! Wish it wasn’t such a doorstopper haha 😅😅
@Shelf-Esteem Yes Eagles everywhere! They would sometimes just be sitting on the ice flows just floating along, so funny! I remember I had the hardcover of Alaska! Not anymore thank goodness 😂📚
Hey Nikhil, you had an epic month, Alaska looks stunning.
Assassin's Quest was so good, I'm so glad I got to share such a magical book with 2 wonderful friends 🙂
You're in for a treat if you watch Stand by Me, it's a brilliant film.
If you want to read something creepy and atmospheric now we're heading into Autumn, The Haar by David Sodergren is a fantastic book.
Hey buddy! Thanks so much! Reading FARSEER has been such a blast with you all, and can’t wait for our John Gwynne read next! 😊
Just checked out the premise for The Haar, this is totally going on my October TBR! Thanks for the recommendation buddy!
Have you read the terror by Dan Simmons? I’ll be reading that one as well!
@Shelf-Esteem I think we'll have a blast with The Bloodsworn Saga, I'm trying to keep my expectations down but I think it's going to be a book I love.
I think you'll enjoy The Haar, it's one of my favourite horror novels. It has such an amazing atmosphere and some brilliant characters.
I haven't read The Terror yet, I recently picked it up on a kindle daily deal as I do like Dan Simmon's books.
Alaska looks lovely, so glad you had a great time. Different seasons sounds good, I think I will be buying that one soon! Have you read You like it darker by Stephen King yet?
Thanks so much Vanessa! It was just sublime!! I think you’d really like Different Seasons, each story is a 4.5-5 star for me!
I loved You Like It Darker! Have you checked it out yet? I read it when it first came out, and it felt like a return to form for King
Yes I have read you like it darker. I thought there were some really good stories in there 👍
Awesome stuff Nikhil! The pictures from your trip are breathtaking. I almost DNFd Assassins Quest lol, but the ending was good at least. I’m excited to read Lions of Al Rassan eventually. I had two absolute bangers in August. Recursion by Blake Crouch and The Tainted Cup by Robert Jackson Bennett. Highly recommend both.
Thanks Chas! And oooo Recursion!! I absolutely loved that book. I need to check out The Tainted Cup! Thanks for the recommendation! Have you read Blake Crouch’s Wayward Pines trilogy? They are spectacular books!!
@@Shelf-Esteem not yet, no. They’re definitely on my list. I already own the first book.
@@BookishChas oh awesome! Hope you enjoy when you get a chance to read it! It’s one of the few trilogies that’s great all the way through, and evenly paced as well :)
I read 11 books my favorites are the mystery guest by nita prose and long past summer by noue kiwan my least favorite sex lies and sensibility by nikki Payne modern take on sense and sensibility by Jane Austen
Wow, 11 books!! My dream haha! I’ve been wanting to check out Mystery Guest - great to hear you enjoyed it!
