What are you most excited about reading this month?
Also apologies to Philip Chase on the butchering of some of these names 😅 hope I’ll be able to read them more smoothly as I go haha

Ha ha! No worries - fantasy names are supposed to be butchered. 😁 I don’t know if you speak a Sanskrit-derived language, but if you do, once you see Andumaic in book two of the trilogy, you might be able to make some sense of it. Cheers!

What a fantastic TBR! I might be slightly biased in regard to one of the books 😁, but the others that I know I can honestly say are fantastic, including To Ride Hell’s Chasm and The Shadow of the Gods. I wish you a fantastic month of reading, Nikhil!

Thanks so much Philip! 😊 I’m reading To Ride Hells Chasm in no small part thanks to your glowing recommendation, so thanks for introducing me to yet another fantastic author!
Cant wait to read the Edan trilogy, and would love to discuss with you at some point!

I’ve been saving the second book in the Bloodsworn Saga until we get closer to October 👻 I really had a great time with the first one! It read so quick for me.

Oooo amazing! We will be reading that second one at the same time then! 😊 Can’t to dive in to the first book - will let you know how I like it!

I’m at the beginnings of Edan and so far I’m loving it! Awesome we’re getting it in the same month

That’s amazing! Looking forward to hearing what you think of Edan as well 😊 Janny Wurts is another surprise author for me this year - it’s a great way to get into her books without starting in yet another massive series haha!
Just subbed and looking forward to checking out your channel 😊

What an epic tbr! I haven't read any of the Expanse novels yet, I'll be honest I find it a bit intimidating with it being such a large series.
I think we'll have a blast with The Bloodsworn Saga, I'm really looking forward to it.

@@DisquietandDragons-lh3zm so grateful for our reading journeys together my friend! Cant wait for bloodsworn as well! 😊😊
The expanse novels are complex but somehow read pretty fast imo. I know the feeling though, thinking of starting two more series next year and I always wonder why do I always do this to myself 😂😂

I’m looking forward to reading the novella The Vessel, short story collection Stitches, On Writing, and the Dave Grohl memoir. I’m glad you’re enjoying Dreamcatcher so far. David Cronenberg is one of my favorite storytellers/filmmakers so body horror is no problem for me. Might be adding that to my list this year. Possibly for Halloween?

Ooo great list! I’ve read both on writing, and the Dave grohl memoir - both are fantastic! If you don’t mind the body horror then Dreamcatcher is a great book so far (especially when paired with some forest ambience videos on RUclips haha!)

Great Video Nikhil, hope you had an awesome cruise! 😀A lot of fans call Dreamcatcher a mess, one of his worst books. Personally, It is not top tier King but did have some redeeming qualities, especially the Coming of Age theme. The "shitweasels" are nasty! 😂 The only James Michener book I've read is The Covenant, all about South Africa and loved it. Happy Reading!

Thanks buddy!! 😊🙏🏽 I honestly agree, DREAMCATCHER has far exceeded my expectations thus far! (Body horror not withstanding 😅)
Ooo I have to check out The Covenant at some point - sounds intriguing! Hope you’re doing well buddy! I got a lot of your videos to catch up on, and plan to do so this weekend 😊

Shadow of the Gods was a disappointment for me. The characters weren’t really fleshed out very well. I really enjoyed his first 2 series but this one just didn’t take that next step like I was anticipating. Only the last couple chapters convinced me to even continue to the next one in a few weeks.

Ah sorry to hear that! Interestingly enough I’ve heard some people who didn’t like the first one liked the second one much more and vice versa. Itll be hard to top faithful & the fallen, but hopefully it’ll resonate! 🤞🏽🤞🏽

@@Shelf-Esteem yeah, I liked the first 2 series enough that I’ll certainly try the second one here…the last couple of chapters were intriguing. Hope all your reading this month goes well!
