@@oakswamp I know that feeling with the kids. Mines are living on there own now for a moment and I miss them, but that's the way of life. Mines are to far away to see them often. My sons where nearly all the time with me in the garage(I trowed the tv away 20 years ago, tu much shit on it), now it feels a bit empty. I phone them every week. When they come for holliday I'm the luckiest man on earth

@@oakswamp Just recommended your channel to a guy in the Stats who's channel is Shed next to the tracks. He has just finished ( if you ever do ) building a Model T calling it the Prairie Plane Flyer. He has the same can do, Little money no tools approach, be warned their are trains involved .Keep up the good work buddy..

I live in Canada , and remember driving some of those English cars back in the day . Also that Galaxie 500 XL brought me back . I owned one
it was ordered as a white car with red interior bucket seats console 4 spd and because it was an early model was ordered with the 406 3x2 engine. later models came special ordered with either a 390 high output or 427 . Mine had the 4:10 rear end and came with the reverb unit which was mounter just behind the back seat for the rear speaker that was between the rear seat back. Every time use would drive over railway tracks or a bumpy road the reverb sounded like a spring. Fast car it was . Today I am restoring a Austin A40 Countryman 1951 model
very rare over here this model . Although , many of these cars models like the Dorset 2 drs were made into Gassers and street rods .
I know of 4 around my area . I enjoy watching your build and the music seeing how you are getting on with it . We have had cold freezing weather over here and got to say those electrics don't fare well in that temps. For me I'll take proven piston powered . All the best and Happy New year to yeah .L

Interesting selection of vehicles. Both my uncles were travelling sales reps, circa 1960.
One had PA Vauxhalls; the other; Mk.2 Zephyrs as company cars. They don't make 'em like
they used to!!!
The way those PAs used to rot, perhaps that's not a bad thing......

The Jensen 541s is a rarity - only 127 built and mostly auto. The one in the video is the even rarer manual and, with 150 bhp pushing less than 1500kg, it should be quick enough.
it bought my eye ...looked awesome with the bonnet down, 127? no wonder i had no real clue what it was......and 100 bhp per ton? d'you know whats worrying? Ian is about 50 bhp and the whole rat about a third of a ton...roughly 150 bhp / ton ...rod brakes ...😳 hahah
