The body certainly looks like the Cliffhanger body that Pro-line make. Pro-line are stablemates of FTX in Europe. FTX legitimately rebrand most RGT cars. Seems more than reasonable that there might be a licensing agreement there.
Hi, I recently bought one of these and live in the USA I broke an axle shaft within 10 seconds of driving it and can’t seem to find any parts anywhere. Do you think you could help me find a place to get some extra parts? Thanks 3:50
Hi Mark. What a shame that it broke so soon. Mine's been fine and I know how lucky I've been. The parts support for this car has been horrendous. I'm hoping that changes if FTX launch a version but I'm starting to suspect that that plan may have been shelved. I've just had a look and can't find anywhere with parts supply. Thanks for the review. I already ordered one it is cheaper here in our country. I was planning on getting a capra 4ws but I saw the review. It is a good buy. The only thing I think should be done is to fully droop it and it seems that the tyres are too stiff, a hairbun would be a good replacement for foams.
@MRBRUSHLESS Thanks, man. Please spread the word. I'm heading in the right direction but the more help to grow those numbers, the nearer I get to focusing on making the content that (hopefully) everyone wants. The nice thing in this hobby is that there's plenty room for people to watch lots of different channels and enjoy them all.
I've still got it. I occasionally use it. Would I buy one? No. The reason being that they never made any spares available. Having said that, I've not looked for a couple of months. For similar money, the Rescuer is a far better truck. Completely different but better within its own area.
You're absolutely right about the microphone. I'll get one ordered very soon. The camera isn't bad but it uses different software when running through the gimbal. It's much worse quality. I'll consider an upgrade if numbers go the right way for the channel. Thanks for watching and subbing!
Gotta say it's the most intriguing, and I think kinda breakthrough of a frame on a rtr truck, yet again coming from "horrible, communist, evil China". They even could have had a full trunk if they'd used more forward placement of rear shocks that is available and lowering that bit under the trunk bed. That'd be really nice.
It's certainly intriguing and a real change for RTR. I might try cutting and dropping the body a bit more or get something else to stick on it. Might look cool sitting low.
So they stole the cliffhanger body, the axial 3gear trans, ar45p portal axles, rock pirates RC rock sliders gspeed style rails fucking pile of stolen shit go figure
I'm intrigued. When you say they stole these things, what do you mean? I guess there are few original ideas around and most companies 'borrow' ideas from others if they've not been patented but I know lots of them also license from each other or share manufacturers or just buy the parts/cars and relabel them. For example.. would you consider that AE stole the Element24 Enduro? I think it was originally an RGT, then a Hobbyplus & FTX, then an Element. It's always an interesting talking point.
@@rcpie never seen any of those ones, I’m talking specifically about this truck like 90% stolen copies something Ali express and bangood, so that with everything
@@1980chardison I think you probably need to check things out a bit more. Banggood and AliExpress are just marketplaces, just like eBay or Amazon. They're not copying or stealing anything, even if someone else is. I've just had a look at the things you're suggesting have been stolen and I'm not convinced at all. The axles and rock sliders are clearly different. The chassis rails are in some ways reminiscent of gspeed's but that could be said of any carbon rails and I'm not sure gspeed were first anyway. The transmission is like that found on lots and lots of trucks, so I'm not sure that's much of a claim either. I wasn't aware of the cliffhanger body but, having had a quick look, it certainly looks similar. I don't know if it's the same but if it is, it might interest you to know that Pro-line are distributed in Europe by the same company that distribute FTX (arguable just re-branded RGT), so it seems reasonable that they might have a deal going on. Similarity of thought or design doesn't mean theft of product or IP.
@@rcpie i know your probably into the truck and car scene, but as a hobbiest for a ton of stuff like drones, china which is a big runner of Ali express and bang good that push all the clones, which I do say this with heart for the people who do the hundreds of thousands of hours to create something good, just to have someone else point and click a computer screen and clone shit then undercut everything they clone which is stealing from the real creators inventors of these said products, and eventually does put the real people out of business and hurts them, because of Ali express and bang good which are run by places like china etc and they don’t even earn it, so the promotions of those fraud thieving companies should never be given any props for what they are doing to people and the hobbies they are basically killing
@@1980chardison I'm not a big fan of true clones or even direct copies but there is a fine line between similar and counterfeit. I'm a big Lego fan and collector and I've seen all the clone brands that are quite clearly stealing IP and just putting bad spellings on boxes. This is awful and ripping off the designers and the original IP and licence holders. I used to be a computer games designer, so I understand the impact of piracy and IP theft. I don't think this is the same, though. These are common ideas for the construction of a car, all executed in slightly different ways by all the major brands (RGT being one of these). No-one is accusing Element of ripping off Traxxas or Gmade, so what accuse a Chinese brand of doing the same? If this constitutes theft or copying, then there's the question of whether upgrade parts by third party companies are the same as they certainly take the measurements from the car manufacturer. Then that would mean gSpeed and others could be accused of cloning, copying or stealing.
