    Yes, put a fusion on it. Maybe change to heavier wheels and better tires. Or maybe put some brass on the axles?

      All likely steps in the near future but it's only fair to test a rig in stock form. 👍🏻

      @@rcpie It needs custom change up a bit🤔
      Also custom inner fender wells to block mud out under the chassis.🤔
      It needs test and upgrade for this model.😅
      It's a fair crawler..but not great.🙄
      Good video.😉

      I was surprised that they didn't include wheel arch liners. They should have become a standard feature on crawlers by now.
      There are upgrades on the way!

    Nice day up near the lump Mike. Been a while since I've been. The truck looks smart but after having the Rescuer, it's bound to be a little disappointing. The shorter wheelbase and lack of portals will really hurt performance in comparison. A bit of weight up front and better wheels and tyres will soon sort it out. With all the choice and new releases we have now, performance expectations are very high, but we have to remember what it is. It's a trail truck, but with superior scale looks rather than outright performance.
    Great video again 👍

      Thanks, Paul.
      Yeah, it was a nice morning. Sadly, the forest is getting wrecked. It was bad enough that MTBers were digging ramps and berms and moving all the stone from the boundary wall. The destruction of the wall means access is easier and now it seems that motorbikes have been in. The paths are now getting totally ripped up. 🙁
      Back to the truck, though. I think you'll be interested to see how it goes on the rocks in tomorrow's video. I've got a couple of upgrades lined up as well, so we'll see what weight does.

      @@rcpiehola! Me encantan! Quedo atento y nuevamente gracias por todo. Es un bicho que dan ganas de mejorar sin duda.

      Greetings to Chile 🇨🇱
      I'm sure you're going to like it.
      I don't think it needs the gearing changing. The performance is mainly hindered by the weight distribution (and the tyres, obviously but they don't really count).
      Sounds like you've got a nice collection!

      RGT / FTX crawlers from the last few years have been really tough and getting better and better.
      The Rescuer/Tracker is about the toughest truck I've used or seen. It's totally bombproof! I see no reason why this should be any different.
      The FTX Gladius isn't as tough but it's not an RGT. Go figure!

    Hi. Just found your channel, and this is the first video I've watched, so hi all.
    I've seen a couple of videos on this now, and it seems to have the ability to change people's minds. I'm a massive fan of FTX cars, and between my son and I, we have a Mauler, Kanyon, and a Paso in the crawler/trail truck range. I've also got a trx4 and 2 Carisma Coyotes. The Paso is probably the least capable out of the box. But the smiles per mile are brilliant.
    This looks like it would be the same, and a few simple mods would improve that performance. It's a lot more expensive than the Paso (I was lucky, finding 2, without shells, being sold by CML on ebay for £150!!), but it looks great.
    It'll be interesting to see the performance on rocks, as the tall body and spare on the back won't do it any favours. 👍🏻

      Hi Rob,
      I'm glad you've found us. 😁
      Sounds like you've got a nice little garage there but I'm saying nothing about the Kanyon. 🙄
      I know what you mean about the Paso; some cars just make you smile whilst some are capable but somehow very dull.
      I have a few simple mods in mind, so watch this space.
      Let me know what you think on the rock test video.

    • @roblowrie1969
      @roblowrie1969 6 месяцев назад +1

      @@rcpie yeah, the Kanyon has so many issues. I picked mine up for £30, and it had most of the mods already done. I just got a new body, cut it and the cage so it's a single cab, and my son saw it, and it's his now. He loves it, so that's me happy. 😇

    Nice looking Landcruiser. I had real one back in aus and that was top heavy too ( we called them a shorty) I think they have concentrated on the scale looks and lacked on the running gear side of things which is understandable if you are working to produce a budgetish RTR as something has to give but still think they could have done better regards to performance ( so many copies of diffs, gearboxes etc out there😉)and at least some inner gaurds seeing they went to the trouble of interior. Seemed very unweighted in front end. Keep up the great work 👍👍👍

    • @rcpie
      @rcpie  6 месяцев назад +3

      Actually, I think the running gear seems very good. The only issue I really see is it being top heavy. Extra weight will help.
      I totally agree about the wheelarch liners, though. It should now be a standard feature on all RTRs.
