Oh William. Yes, the media had played a great factor in the breakdown, but look also to your untrustworthy father and step mother who were the root of all her sadness.
Diana’s injury had its roots in childhood, not in Kensington Palace. Marriages breakdown every day. Adultery happens every day. 42% approximately, in the U.K. We all understand how painful a thing it is to live through. But this BBC Panorama interview set in motion a chain of events that quite literally might’ve played a role in her death. I think the BBC is the most corrupt institution in Britain.

Why is everyone blaming Prince William personally? Inside of that tall, grown man is a hurt child who has always had to be torn between the pain he had when his mother was alive, when she died and now the loyalty he is supposed to have for the family he has left! It's indeed his duty to protect the Royals from anything less than perfect 🙁No one should carry that burden but he has and has been expected to since he was a child. What William said is very disturbing. He has absolved his father from responsibility for his marriage to Diana irretrievably breaking down due to the fact that Charles had an affair with Camilla before and during his marriage to Diana. William has every right to criticize the BBC that the interview with Martin Bashir was deceitfully obtained, but Diana’s words were true, remember she said ‘there were three of us in this marriage’ and she didn’t mean Queen Elizabeth. Ultimately Diana was let down by Charles.
Precisly. Prince William is subscribing to the establishments narrative. Prince Charles gave an interview first where he admitted his adultery with Camilla Parker Bowles
By the time she gave interview, her marriage was over.Prince charles affair, her affairs , incompatibility in their marriage, constant media hounding were all responsible her marriage to break down. Prince William is not absolving his father for the mistakes he had done , but ponting out to something that was looked past for many years, medias role in whatever happend during diana charles fiasco.
@Yvonne Schoenrock it’s both isn’t it. The BBC used dirty tricks to lure Diana to give the interview which according to William contributed to her paranoia and isolation. However, by William saying ‘the Panorama programme holds no legitimacy and should never be aired again’, doesn’t negate the validity of what Diana said. Ultimately the ongoing affair between Charles and Camilla caused the marriage to end.
William saying Diana’s narrative was false is disgusting. She spoke her truth, her experience which he wants to deny which she said she didn’t regret speaking about, what about Prince Charles doing an interview admitting an affair before, did that contribute to nothing then wills, and if it made things worse for his parents relationship it’s because Charles did treat her badly. Exactly. The interview was obtained deceitfully ergo he’s saying Diana was deceitful? She was a 19 year old reduced to a brood mare by a philanderer who acted with impunity because he was (and is) to be king.
Martin was wrong in how he was able conduct this interview. But it doesn't change the words Diana said, and I truly believe she meant those words. As for the breakdown of the Royal marriage, I believe the marriage would have ended regardless. I was actually looking forward to him becoming the next King but to be honest, I'm now pretty over the entire calculatedness and superficiality of the British Monarch. There's no accountability for anything within the British Royal family, just a lot of selective morality. Diana may not have been perfect but no one is, including each one of the royals. At this point, William should understand that in a similar way that the media played a significant role in the breakdown of his parents marriage, they are doing the same to put a wage between him and his brother and wife
Bashit is disgusting but that didn’t make Diana paranoid. She was sharp. You cant call a woman that that had to endure what she did in the royal family. She was incredible. How she managed to endure Charles and the rest of the royals as long as she did and keep her wits was and is amazing
Why haven't media questioned the fact that given Bashir had bank documents forged, he may also have had Princess Diana's letter (saying she had no regrets) forged as well?
Even if the BBC was deceitful ingesting the interview, what Diana said was the truth. She was *not* paranoid, as Charles' PR team kept trying to paint her; what she said was correct: there *were* 3 people in her marriage, her husband was having an affair. There's no accountability for anything within the British Royal family, just a lot of selective morality. Diana may not have been perfect but no one is, including each one of the royals. Diana was a woman scorned and Charles was a cheat. William should focus more on learning from his mother on how to be of service to others and less time trying to paint a picture perfect monarch at the expense of his mother. Because one could just as easily also argue that William's still suffering from his childhood trauma. Trauma that's fueling his delusions that his mother didn't mean what she said in this interview and that this interview is what "substantially" hurt his parents relationship, not his father's infidelity.
I could not agree with you more! This announcement from William effected me the exact way. Over the lies, and lost any respect for William.
Well said!
Lady you need to get some help. How dare you speak about a woman he actually knew. You didn’t know her. Diana was a cheat! She was the third person in multiple marriages. The wives had to beg her to stop calling their husbands. William was not and has never tried to make the monarchy look perfect
@@justanorton2418 there are no lies in anything he stated. How weird of you to over step your boundary. He knew her. You didn’t
@@veronicaamy2895, he was a child. Now years later of tabloid’s trying to make Diana to appear less and save the image of Charles when the whole world seen it played out. Also, you have a cheating husband through out your marriage and live with that for years! I would be looking for love too. She deserved to be loved, not a breeding mare fir the monarchy. The first interview you could tell who loved who! I have NO respect for anyone that degrades their mother! So save your breath it’s wasted here…. And i am not wasting more of mine.
He comes across as a compassionate man.
@For yt and how can you tell exactly do you know him?
He knows that she’d probably still be here if not for that interview
Can someone explain how the interview was obtained please.
What a load of bull to make that assumption.
Hold on.....she spoke how she felt....
Defend your Mother sir 🇹🇹
But he's not defending his Mother, he is defending the throne and his father and Camilla 🛑
hes defending the face of the ROYAL family... totally going against his mother completely not even caring about her... read between the lines fool
time to end all the royals and their privileged lifestyles.
@@kayj9897 exactly what I thinking. William doesn't care about his mom. He will do anything to save the crown. Diana must be turning in her grave.
Right? Like did he even watch his mom's interview? His dad had an affair with Camilla which hurt his mother deeply, then his turning all the blame to Bashir? Unbelievable.
it's tragic the way william looks like diana's clone but is just like charles and harry is the spitting image of queen elizabeth but is just like diana
That is so true!!!
Harry is nothing like Diana she did not say anything bad about the Royal Family just what happened in her life
@@nimanixo Diana: speaks her truth about how the institution would never want her to be queen (we all know why) and her terrible marriage.
Harry: speaks his truth about how the institution treated his wife
(maybe I need to clarify that the institution within itself is not only run by the queen but other royal family figure heads so "institution" doesn't imply "the Queen" before you get your knickers in a twist)
and how they treated her/ never defended her from the British media/tabloids/Daily Fail and how her mental health declined because of his wife's treatment and all of this reminded him of how the media did the same to his mother.
Both speak the truth about THEIR experiences but Harry is "disrespectful to the royal family" and "is not the same as his mother" because apparently the royal family can do no wrong even though they have a very very evil history (again TRF != The Queen alone but an institution) and just like any institution there is definitely a possibility of self serving people or racist people because they are human beings and there is no way that racist mindsets didn't get past down from generation to generation. Maybe not to the leading members but secondary and tertiary members.
@@megan0209 👏👏 you spoke truth. Before there titles they are humans.
Excellent analysis. I too find that in all the grandchildren Harry resembles queen Elizabeth the most !
Princess Diana would be so proud of her boys ❤️
boy*
@@GrumpyGrebo Yep! Not so sure of the other one ..
She would be so proud of Prince William.
I don't think she was proud that Harry attacked his brother William. Of William yes, he is a great man with a lot of strength, every day he looks more like his mother.
I’m not sure she would be proud William is trying to pretend it was all her paranoia and that Charles has no responsibility for what happened to her after he neglected her and cheated. Not at all. She spoke the truth in that interview. Only Bashir lied.
One thing is for sure from his statement, they do not want the crown (Netflix show) to have anything to do with the panaroma interview!
Collin Mathew. Ha ha I wonder why ? Netflix will do what they want to do !!
What the BBC did was disgusting but let's not forget the reason to why Diana took a huge fall in the first place, Charles.
No one told Diana to cheat on Charkes. Furthermore, she became involved with at least 3 different married men. The BBC is just a scapegoat for William.
Wow...imagine being made to do this?! Diana knew what she was doing. This family is sick beyond repair.
what you mean?
@@marioluigi9599 I mean Diana knew what she was doing and saying during that interview. She wasn't conned, or manipulated. For him to do this interview makes me think he is just a royal robot...
I thought the same thing... he was made to do this. Royal puppets.
Harrys not looking quite so bad now. William sold his mother down the river.
True William literally spoke against his own mother for the crown 🤮
Dude crazy ur mom spoke her thruth....I bet you wouldn't say all this nonsense if she was alive🙄
Why would he call his mom 'paranoid'.
Because she was
Bc she was. She fired all her team and body guards, wouldn't let anyone come near her, wouldn't trust anyone. She isolated her self after that interview and those lies from Bashir. Even Charles Spenser has said so for 20 years
@@enienkela7909 though she was seen out laughing with friends and saying she’d never been happier
To besmirch her narrative of her marriage to Charles.
I know that was utterly shocking to me too! He just called his own mother paranoid. I’m speechless.
Duty before family eh?
Really? is that what he said? why don't you listen again x
Diana spoke her heart out and we all watched it felt her mistreatment and we all know how the monarchy was deceitful and oppressive. Bashir did a great interview Period!
When will prince Andrew be investigated and action taken by the royal family? Just asking
Who’s he trying to kid 😂😂😂😂
She said what she said
For someone expressing his opinions he does a lot of script reading... She might have been deceived to do the interview, but not to what what she was saying. This attempt to defend "royals" is pathetic.
William is a tool for the Palace. He’s going to be King. He knows his job is to rehabilitate the monarchy’s reputation.
Wow, judging by the comments here and public reaction in general, William seems to have shot himself in the foot. The manner in which the interview was obtained may have been unethical and wrong, but sometimes the end justifies the means, and if it allowed this hurt and vulnerable person to tell her side of the story, then so be it. Looking at an old and decrepit Camilla in recent days just shows what a very poor choice Charles made.
I think so too
Camilla didn't look so hot in her younger years either.
imo the boys babysitter did not get compensated enough for the lies.
No William your mother r spoke the truth
We know. THose who are pretending not to know too know. They just think it's okay to happen this to a woman.
Diana spoke some truth in the interview but a lot was what she had been told by Bashir and false documentation. So you're calling Charles Spencer a liar too? Because he has spoken out about it too. He is her brother, he was there, he knows what happened. You weren't!
I get it, William is her son and he knows more about her. but i think by looking at the interview its clear the sadness and the dissapointment. she seems to be speaking from her heart! might just be me. but William is basically protraying his father and the Royalty family as super innocent people.
She was uttering every word of truth there was no fault in interview......
Maybe other eligations which he have put could be true but all those things which she said in that chat was true.
“The way the interview was obtained, influenced what my mother said” what???
Seriously, the BBC needs to be stripped of the Licence Fee
What about your Father King Charles who let your mother down by continuing his relationship with Camilla when he told her it was over? The Queen who didn’t stand by her in her pain when it was her and the rest of the Royals who persuaded the King to marry your Mother?
The poise, grace & restraint Prince William has shown here is the mark of a remarkable Man, Husband, Father & Son. Me on the other hand would have ended this statement with... I'M COMING FOR YOU BBC!
WILLIAM IS GREEDY FOR CROWN AND DEPENDENT ON TAX PAYER MONEY 💰 🤑....DIANA WOULD BE VERY UPSET.😡 😞
I’m sorry but this sounds so disrespectful to her. He’s obviously allowed to say he disagrees with what his mother said, but here he’s literally suggesting she was paranoid. I hate how even in the 21st century it’s so easy to ridicule anything women say by passing it as emotional/paranoid etc.
No amount of image makeover can erase that. The BBC was no more deceitful to her than Charles was. To now say that interview cannot be shown muzzles her and it is disappointing that William would be a party to it.
So this is the prepared speech the royals gave him.
