- The Duke of Cambridge has slammed BBC failures over the 1995 Martin Bashir Panorama interview with his mother, Diana, Princess of Wales.

Prince William said the programme had established a 'false narrative' and that the 'deceitful way' the interview was obtained had substantially influenced what his mother had said.
It follows an inquiry, conducted by the former supreme court judge John Dyson, into the broadcast, which found that Bashir had engaged in 'deceitful behaviour' by commissioning fake bank statements to land the interview.
Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, also released a statement commenting on the outcome of the investigation saying: “Our mother was an incredible woman who dedicated her life to service. She was resilient, brave, and unquestionably honest. The ripple effect of a culture of exploitation and unethical practices ultimately took her life.”
The BBC’s current director general, Tim Davie, said the corporation accepted “in full” the report by Dyson.

Diana's fans who create videos for RUclips have idealized Diana beyond reality and are continuing to unfairly blame Charles and Camilla for the failed marriage.
The truth is a lot more complicated and includes Diana's multiple affairs.
The marriage was a tragic mistake. They were not compatible. Both failed to meet each others expectations and needs. Their relationship became toxic and BOTH were MISERABLE by 1985. They informally separated in 1986.

“ A false narrative”, “ paranoia”. Regardless of who the interviewer was, he was asking her legitimate questions about her life and she was responding. She was talking about HER life and HER experiences. She wasn’t perfect and she owned it. She suffered for years and she owned it. The Incredible pressure of being that young, being tossed into the spotlight and being married to somebody who is in love with somebody else? She was very much in the right in saying the things she said in that interview. Period.

Meaghan claimed that she and Harry were married by the arch bishop the night before the official wedding with no witnesses. The arch bishop spoke out saying this never happened. Had this happened, it would have been illegal.
Meghan also claimed that her passport was confiscated and yet she was still able to fly around the world.
The thing about Meghan now is that we won’t ever know if the rest of her claims were true or not as just one untruth brings all other possible truths into doubt

If you have a cheating husband that's been tolerated with his affair she have every right to be paranoid. She's calm and speaking from her heart. He was saying BBC looked away when the investigation of Bashir’s deceit came to light after the initial interview, BBC covered up the initial investigation that what he means looked away instead of asking the tough questions about whether or not Bashir used manipulative means to get this information.
That makes it sound even worse. So the BBC is willing to ask the tough questions of others but when it comes to their own affairs they look away.
What's rather interesting about this "leak" is that it's a way that the royal family of Britain seems to shift blame for Diana's mental health away from their own internal family dynamics, and more toward this reporter.

Prince Phillip is no innocent and neither is the Queen. Charles was told to marry and he needed a virginal bride. They should have let him marry Camilla in the first place. Having realizing that mistake is why they let Harry marry way below his station; someone with quite the history with men, family disruptions and a mother with a criminal record.

This the best mother's gifts for her mother. She is very proud of him. She mentored him for who he is today. He learned so much from his parents separations and divorce. Martin was wrong in how he was able conduct this interview. But it doesn't change the words Diana said, and I truly believe she meant those words. As for the breakdown of the Royal marriage, I believe the marriage would have ended regardless. Charles did not love Diana the way he loved Camilla, story to say, but she was a 19 year old teenager and they wanted her because of her fertility. I'm not saying it's right but it is the truth. There are very important things Diana said in an interview that will be remembered forever.

Diana later stated she wished he had not done the interview, but she was told there were staff that were coming forward with evidence, and it was coersion.

I was actually looking forward to him becoming the next King but to be honest, I'm now pretty over the entire calculatedness and superficiality of the British Monarch. There's no accountability for anything within the British Royal family, just a lot of selective morality. Diana may not have been perfect but no one is, including each one of the royals. Diana was a woman scorned and Charles was a cheat. William should focus more on learning from his mother on how to be of service to others and less time trying to paint a picture perfect monarch at the expense of his mother. Because one could just as easily also argue that William's still suffering from his childhood trauma. Trauma that's fueling his delusions that his mother didn't mean what she said in this interview and that this interview is what "substantially" hurt his parents relationship, not his father's infidelity.
