As an American, I’m always so impressed by the Prince of Wales. He’s had some real tragedy in his life, grown up in a fish bowl, a child of a contentious divorce, lost his mother at 15 in a terrible accident, and had his privacy invaded again and again. And yet he has not only gotten on with it, he used his training to fly helicopters for Search & Rescue missions, and doubtless saved countless lives. He epitomizes someone who counts his blessings and not his burdens. He continues to serve. The UK is so lucky to have him & his lovely wife and children. God Save the King!
What about everyone else who has had tragedy in their lives, who doesn’t get any special attention for “getting on with it” or not? Yes he’s had tragedy in his life. It doesn’t make him any more special than anyone else who manages to live a good life despite bad circumstances. And let’s face it - he hasn’t got to build a career. He hasn’t got bills to pay. He hasn’t got the fear of being a victim of crime or the fear of providing for his children. Everything’s taken care of for him. Meanwhile there are children relying on the kindness of others to have food to eat. Food poverty, general poverty and inequality is out of control in this country, and these people are part of the problem. Getting rid of them won’t stop poverty but it would send a pretty clear message that everyone is born equal in terms of the rights they have access to, the amount of care they deserve to be treated with, and where they stand in the social hierarchy.
She seems to be a really great kid. Completely natural but always so very well-behaved at these huge events. It can't be easy for any child but she carries it off really well. A credit to her parents/family.

This made me tear up and was a very heartwarming moment for us in the crowds, King Charles and especially to Princess Charlotte who was smiling so radiantly, she lit up the concert "Pa, we're so proud of you" 🥺 This speech was a precious treasure for his dad; Charles's face said it all 😊
