Hello! Mr. Buss was my grandad! Sadly he passed away in 1994 but his son, Norman showed me this video and was really happy to hear that his dad is still fondly remembered.
We lived in the St James's area near the Mitre pub, now called The Allotment. I used to do a paper round for Fullers in Albion Road, and remember Bensons scrapyard, they used to pay use three old pennies for a big of rags.!! Happy days.
you all prolly dont give a shit but does anybody know of a way to get back into an instagram account?? I was dumb lost the account password. I would appreciate any help you can offer me
@Jason Beau i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and Im trying it out now. Takes a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Hi there ,I used to live in Dale Street, and I worked in the Blacksmiths called JTE Levings and son back in the 1980s, it was right opposite Harry Bensons Scrapyard. My Name is Alex Mills btw.
@@vincecox2916 yes, that would have been the Boss Don (Edwin ) was his first name but everyone knew him as Don. Just as a footnote, They used to repair and maintain Horse drawn carriages there but sadly that was way, way before my time as I would have loved to have a go at building one !
I used to live in a bed sit in upper grosvener or road and used to cut through Victoria road to and from, what used to be ,The Bristol Arms. That pubs interior has changed too.
Can you remember the bike shop around the corner from there, they one time called in a BMX team in the carpark next to church in 80s but I found no pic or video of it 🥲
Great memories, thanks for making these very interesting videos
Glad you enjoyed them.

Am I right in remembering a guy called Don who also worked there, probably in the sixties and seventies?
