Yankees fans blame the GM, but they’re the ones who put all the public pressure on him to give judge a terrible contract. Five years from now that will be one of the worst contracts in baseball. Giants don’t age well.
The bigger problem is that the DH spot is clogged by Stanton - and a bigger reason why Soto will be playing for the Mets or somebody else next year instead of resigning with the Yankees - because they will need the DH spot for Judge sooner than later, and Soto is already a DH/1B in waiting with his horrid OF defense.
their pitching is in shambles with Cole sidelined for 2+ months and Michael King gone. The Rodon contract is going to be a disaster to watch unfold. Rays will win the division.
I have a toe injury from years of running and other sports. My right big toe has lost 80% of it's flexibility and the nail is permanently damaged. It seriously affects my right knee as well. 'Toe injury' sounds so pathetic, but how your foot comes off the ground can have a massive impact on everything from your knees to your hips and all the way up your spine. It does make a huge difference in postseason. The guys of old you mentioned had another level in them in comparison to the level of play at the time. Nowadays the pitching velocities and movement border on the unhittable of which you will face the best in postseason. That's one of the reasons the Yankees' bats are often silenced in the play-offs.
